- Charleston surf fishing is hot right now. This is the best time of the year to go fishing in the surf for big reds, tarpons, and sharks. Charleston's surf season for these game fish is the best in the fall and until early winter. We were surf fishing for tarpon and big reds. The great thing about surf fishing in Charleston, is you never know what you may see.

I only ever caught sharks when I was fishing, any other place you would suggest? I went to Sullivan Island beach quite a bit and the inlet between isle of palms and Sullivan island.
@@pixeladventures1112 The reds are there, it’s all about timing of the year. Right now the sharks are really thick, but spring and fall…
I’m from the lowcountry area what beach is the best to shark fish?
They are all good once the weather gets warm enough.
The water is still 82 degrees (summer Temps) and the first official day of fall is Wednesday the 22 and fall ends on December 21 Tuesday.

Sullivan’s island is good and so if Folly. Both places will produce. Also you can try breach inlet.

There’s tons of places to cast net them from shore. Pitt street bridge at low tide is the easiest.
