Thank you for this! Process seems straight forward enough, just time consuming. About to replace my clutch in my 4.0. Trying to unbolt my rusty exhaust might have to end up cutting it like you guys did.
It helps out a lot being able to cut out the section of exhaust and weld it back up when your done. It was a good thing you had old Steve there to do the ase stuff. Thanks Mr.Paul and Who-tee-Steve
I was wondering about that exhaust pipe. I had been looking and looking for a video with that configuration with the pipe crossing the trans. Even other 4x4 rangers seem to have the pipe elsewhere. Is that really the best way to go about it? Just cut it off? I got work to do on an old ranger and don't have access to welding!
The bolts on the flange are in bad shape! Barely recognizable as bolts🙁 I'll figure it out though. Thanks for the timely reply on a three year old video! You have a new subscriber. Don't know how I never seen or noticed your channel, I'm an avid watcher of the pew pew channels
Thanks again for teaching me what to do
Any time!

Very time consuming but not necessarily tricky
Morning Paul and Whoo tee Whoo
Morning !!
You can also try to unbolt your exhaust pipe. I got lucky and was able to unbuilt mine instead of cutting the pipe.
Cool 😎
The cart matches the truck, lol.
Heck ya !!
Who Tee Who is glad to have a great friend to help him to fix his truck
I was happy to help .
I need to put a clutch in mine. but I have a list of things I'm behind on that's 5 miles long but in joyed the video
Thanks !!
Does rear main seal go over the crank or is it two piece ?
1 piece
That was a good job. I would hate to have tried to tackle that without a lift.
Thanks !!
I’m gona have to do this outside without a lift..
How to fix the exhaust after
Depends on how you removed it, unbolted at manifolds and cat, just bolts back up. Or like I did,cut and weld.
Just one of the many cool cars and trucks built by Paul, at Heavy Metal Customes. Hard work and good ole boys on both his channels Go SUBSCRIBE. 👍🇺🇸
Well said!
I have to pull the exhaust to drop the transmission in a four-wheel drive Ford ranger
Yup
That’s the pilot bearing
Minute 10:21 that’s the pilot bearing?

You can take it loose at the manifolds the flange to remove it.
