@@GoofyJojo Disney one is good, but hate the unnecessary scenes like when Scrooge got shrunken down and some of the “humour”. It felt at times like it didn’t know what it wanted to be.
OMG! That's Boris Karloff, ain't it! If any actor was ever born to portray Marley's ghost, he would be it. Nevertheless, the best Christmas Carol is the 1951 Alistair Sim version. It is peerless.
@@Fergie260 Yeah, that'll teach me to go look up stuff first before guessing lol! Damn he really _does_ look and sound like Boris tho... I need to see if i can find this movie. My gold standard is Alistair Sim, but this is very intriguing to me. LGC _totally- rocked in "Tarantula". And man from uncle too! Source: I'm 63 lol!
Love this one thank you!
The best version of them all!
1951 version the best.
Yes it is,I love this movie.
To you it is. I like the disney one.
Personal preference. Not one I share.

My favorite. 👍👍
I love this version . It doesn’t give added crap to the story .
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies this version and 1947 a miracle on 47th street
on the wings of the wind.
Leo G. Carroll as Marley.
nice movie the goose n stuff
Close calls to say which are the “best” performances and scenes b/w the ‘38 and ‘51 versions. Imo, Michael Hordern wins top prize for his Marley.
This one is not bad, but the 1951 is definitely superior. This version skips too much and pacing is too fast.
Jacob Marley’s ghost was played by Leo G. Carroll
He was also TOPPER on tv and WAVERLY on tv's THE MAN FROM UNCLE -- great actor

It's Leo G Carroll as Jacob Marley. Not Karloff. Though there is a resemblance so I see why you'd think that.
This version is wonderful and it's in Black and White!!

None. And none for myself.
Why bother watching a 100-second video? Why am I wasting my time, typing this comment?
The 1951 version is better.
