I really enjoy your videos. I secretly hope that something in your house will break so I can watch you diagnose/repair it! 😀

haha, Me and about 10 neighbors - I think someone is listening to your secret prayers.. Anyway, who is the Saint of defective domestic appliances - there should be one...if there isnt we should invent one...

@@razenby You need a RC snubber across the contacts to minimise the arcing, maybe perhaps lol.
Keeping things working with minimal cash is always a good thought 😀

Thank you for the video (as well as the other one). Do you know if there are models without that relay? my wire go from the power supply pcb to the water sensor relay to the heater.

Not sure. All the Mielas I have worked on have the seperate power relay located near the bottom of the machine. Have you got a schematic of your machine?

@@razenby There is a PCB on the bottom right side with 2 10A SCHRACK PB900002 relays which replaces the top controller and relay box. found them on ebay, have to swap them now

If I have checked all the terminals for continuity and good contact, then with leather gloves on holding the relay closed I still get the F24 code does that mean it is definitely the PCB?

See second video. Check relay connections. You can usually check the controller by drying it out and retest. See video #2 in this series.

So it's Relay working now :-D Sorry bad bad joke.
I've always liked relays, yes they are an old technology but dam handy :-D
On low voltages i think the contacts can be jumped with a crapacitor, but mains hmm.
A dish washer... oow that's me lol.

Good idea but would not make much difference at 2.2Kw. The main problem is that the controller takes in the 240V AC lines to sense that the NC contacts are closed. If it cant sense it at turn on it knows that the relay contacts are stuck closed and the heater is on. Then t pluses the relay to make sure that the NV 240V AC sense signal disappears. If there is carbon or damp between L and N around the relay s contacts then the leakage is enough to cause the relay test to fail due to the leakage.

@@razenby Very clever and the processor tells you the relay is dead and they should of put a more manley relay in the machine lol, joke :-D

It is rying to be too clever with a silly sensing circuit. Schoolboy design.
