Thanks mate for a very informative, easy to understand video. Ordered the part online here in Australia, got it for $130, popped it as you directed and we are back in business. Massive thanks again, last callout cost me $450, part and labour.
Hi thanks for your video. We owe you a beer. The dishwasher stopped working Christmas week, couldn’t get a service person until 2nd week of Jan. It was great to be able to call statewide with a part number, they had it in stock and picked it up the same day. The replacement went smoothly and we are up and running again. Cheers!!
Fixing error F24 - Just disconnect the dishwasher power cord from the power point overnight and reconnect next day. Start the dishwasher and Voilà :) Worked for us 7-8 times.
Thanks so much for this! Love the Aussie can-do attitude :-) I located the relay board on my dishwasher as per your video, and discovered the blade contacts were corroded. I managed to clean them up carefully with a small file, and bingo, dishwasher is working again. Very grateful!
Helpful! And not one single curse word during the repairs, and with a smile. I have not begun the repair, we got flooded and hoping the relay is just wet and not fried. Update: after airing out for 24 hours the F24 error did not come up, thankfully!
Thank you very much. I replaced the part. Now when I switch on the error does not appear. When it stops filling the water it blows the main fuse of the house. Is it the heater now, what do you think?
Our machine has a leakage somewhere (F70 i think), we got rid of that but a few drops of water managed to leak into the relai. We took it apart and dried it but that didn't do the trick, so we're waiting till tomorrow. Hope it works. Thank you for the video👍
Thanks! The video helped me a lot by guiding me where to look for the problem. Instead of buying a new relay, I cleaned its terminals and reinstalled it. The dishwasher works like new ;)
Hi, Thanks for the video. Do you know where to find heat relay component for G1272 SCVI dishwasher. i too have F24 error seens from last two days. Thanks
Top vid Sean - tomorrow's Saturday morning job for me. Already got local Meile page open on the replacement relay part, if I need to order a new one. Some interesting previous replies in respect of turn it off for 24hrs or tap the relay...interesting to see if that works, or whether its delaying the inevitable replacement of the relay. All The Best, G
Hope it went well! The relays are normally what needs to be replaced or repaired. Turning it off for a short period of time can work but in my experience, not for very long.
@@countrylifeonthecoast4167 Have to say Miele dishwasher is rubbish tbh - relay switch problem for my third / fourth time now Anyone recommend a better make - thanks
Thank you! Service tech said cockroaches in the electrics and the dishwasher wasn’t worth fixing. I cleaned the circuit board of cockroaches poop and bingo it’s working again!
Hi Marianne, Sorry I meant to put that in the video description. We bought it from Statewide Appliance Spares, it was Part Number: 09053390. Hope that helps. Kind regards Shaun
Just fixed mine, this can be caused if the heater relais coil is open or unplugged. Also worth to check the pressure transducer on the main pump, they may start to leak water and create a resistance between the middle and one of the outer pins.
thanks for pointing us to it. the relay's are no different to ones I have laying around! Also the flow sensor that I paid over $200 for is only a magnetic reed switch that are under $2!!! not a year out of warranty it is a disgrace. my chinese machine before it never cost a cent in repairs. Miele don't even care
I have this problem on mine. The fact that it only happens on rainy days made me think it's a moisture related problem. So far my fix has been to run a heater fan to blow hot air under and around the dishwasher for an hour or so then F24 goes away. When this trick stops working, I'll try replacing the relay. Problem also started after 12months. I hate how you can't even buy extended warranty from HN or GG - good dishwasher but horrible warranty.
Just tried this repair, and the error still comes up :-( The element circuit was fine (near 0 Ohms), so changed the relay part for ~$170 Still get the F24 error on a Miele G6100. Wife is unhappy, please help!
Fixing error F24 - Just disconnect the dishwasher power cord from the power point overnight and reconnect next day. Start the dishwasher and Voilà :) Worked for us 7-8 times.
probably a good idea to seal the relay with some desiccant in a ziplock bag or something, that thing's designed to catch every bit of splatter raining down from the top and error out so miele can collect their tax
confermo. Me ne sono accorto quando ho cominciato a montare pressostati e relays vecchi :-( , compreso il primo cambiato da Miele ufficiale. Tu hai esperienza di Miele? Ho un nuovo problema che non trovo codificato
Thanks for the comment. I agree replacing the relays would be a great way to do it. Can you advise what model relays to get from Jaycar to help others?
@@countrylifeonthecoast4167 Well, Jaycar are pretty limited in their offerings and specs. I just ordered replacement relays from RS Components. They're really not that hard to match. Postage cost nearly as much as the relays but I ended up with five of the devices. They only supplied in multiples of five at $3 each. Statewide would supply the Miele unit at $160 but I was happy to go to component level.
As an aside, the Miele relays are not crap. They are just expensive when sold as a finished Miele module. Can't see a Jaycar relay meeting the PCB layout clearances that the Meile module provides between mains voltages and the 12V DC control side. But that's why Miele engineering is worth something to you!
Mine was a lemon. $2300 dishwasher lasted barely 5 years. The drain motor wouldn’t stop running. Replaced non return valve. Wasn’t the issue. Took out the drain pan. Bone dry. Replaced floater switch. Nope. Opened the controller board - bingo. The board burned out the plug (the 7 connector plug) connected to my drain motor. The motor refused to stop draining. Paid Miele $300 only for them to tell me it’s cost another $1200 to fix. Are you for reals??? They blamed me for user error. What the what??? How on earth do I burn out the controller board? Don’t buy Miele. They claim they have such great reliability but mine didn’t last 5 years. Trash. I threw out that $2300 paper weight and bought an LG.
@@trf9463 The brand new LG dishwasher I bought cost $990. The main board part that Miele wanted to repair my 5 year old washer was $770. Labor, sweat, stress, tears not included. If Miele is going to charge nearly as much as a brand new dishwasher for a part, then it really doesn’t matter if they provide parts for years, does it? Cheers.

This is the best fix I have heard of, great job!
I had done that once or twice with ours, but then the F24 code wouldn't go away.
Just had the error message wouldn't work at all turned it off at the PowerPoint turn it back on again working a treat
Thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity, is it still happening the F24 code to you? Did it suddenly stop working? Wondering 😊
@@mattiasfjellvang I discovered what the real problem was, the installer contacted hot water instead of cold water to the dishwasher.

Hi mate this is very helpful. I had a f14 code which has morphed into an f24 code. Have you ever seen this where the f24 code follows the f14 code?
No, sorry
