I don't always agree with Sue and politically we'd likely be polar opposites, but I was right with her in her assessment of the Japanese cafemaid culture. So many commenters on YT were justifying this societal infantilisation of adult young women into near children, and you just have ask yourself WHY? That if you're so offended by Sue's views on it would you be comfortable letting your own daughter jump into a tea frock and bib, and talk 6 octaves higher in order to please lonely random men? Would you do it? And further cement the allowable society-wide notion there that female sexuality is entwined with childrens innocence? I saw it as an uncomfortable stepping stone to something worse and I was glad Sue was as off put by it as I was.
