The house where this episode was filmed was supposed to be in England but it is actually in Scotland about half an hour from where I live. It's called Hopetoun House and you can visit the house and grounds - you have to pay. It is a lovely place and has also been used in other episodes of Outlander. Midhope Castle which was used as Lallybroch is also on the estate hopetoun.co.uk/estate/outlander-at-hopetoun/
