Sevrion I really like Anette, and I think her voice is fabulous and she's pretty smart knowing what styles she sounds best in (for example- she sounds absolutely remarkable in every song on Shine). That being said, and no matter how much I love her voice, this really isn't sounding perfect in a classical piece. Her upper register is pretty thin and her movement between her middle and upper register isn't as fluid as you would expect from a trained classical singer (which is fine, because she's not, and I didn't expect her to master it in the short time the show allotted for this).I don't know how it's done on this show, if the judges or the contestants pick the songs, but I really wish she would have picked something in the mezzo-soprano or even the contralto range. I think she would have knocked those out of the park instead of sounding thin at times and wobbly throughout the scale movements. She keeps insisting she's a soprano, but clearly from this video she's not. She's a contralto who can easily reach soprano notes. I never understand why singers thinks it's demoting not being a soprano... some of the best singers out there aren't...
Haha i think its perfect because she makes it her own. She added lyrical style into it. Like riffing. Shes likes to do riffs. Thats Anettes staple... and her "ahyeehahyeeah". im just glad she didnt back out and kept her head held high. She is great and i hope she continues in training. And YES! I said on the "Floor vs Anette vocal battle" video that Anettes lows and mids knocks most of everyone elses outta the water. She is good at dramatizing her voice in those ranges.
Those 'riffs' are actually called trills or mellismas, and are quintessential for operatic singing, especially for the opera songs from the time period she sings here. If you hear other renditions for this aria, you'll see other singers do them very much alike, although with more vocal control and easier passages between the notes. I'm not judging, I have a difficult time as well when singing trills in the soprano range, while my trills in the mezzo or alto range are completely controlled. This is why I think she "failed" in this one- she should have chosen a song that would have shown off her beautiful vocal skills instead of one that highlighted her flaws. I hope she goes back to vocal classes, and really hope she will take up classical and lyrical style singing lessons to really learn and know her voice inside out. Looking forwards to see what she does next! Regarding your last comment, I disagree- I think both Floor and Anette have lovely lower ranges- very clear, very controlled and with a beautiful color- each of her own. I think Floor's "advantage" is that she had really studied her voice and knows exactly what sounds good, allowing her to work on her disadvantages while concealing them. If Anette puts in the same effort, I know she'll soar and her voice will become just incredible. I was always confused as to why she stopped taking voice lessons when she was young, and didn't pick them up again when she got into NW and decided that singing will be her career.
Rotem P anette have fabulous lows, but no, she is not a mezzo, because her voice is not that powerful and adult, i think they have chosen this song for enhance the sweetness of her colour, that is the most characteristic and charming thing of her voice, for that i think this piece really suits her voice, instead she can't dominate entirely yet. maybe ombra mai fu (in the stile of bartoli) would be fantastic too

I used to be an Anette hater when she first came out but when Nightwish were promoting to the new album (her first album) her live performances won me over. No one wants to give Anette credit but clearly she's a talented vocalist and remains my favorite. It's unfortunate nightwish didn't allow her to showcase her range and talent
Actually Dark Passion Play album was full of high dramatic notes where she could have shown all her power, but to my ear the notes sounded pretty "loosely" just like here. Some strength and more practice might get her there.
I agree 👍 with you, she is my favourite vocalist too. Same Tuomas said.....if i am going back to DPP and Imaginearum i find that was perfect, no one else will could be so perfect than Annette. Sorry for my English 😅.
Let this show, her solo work, and her collaborations show that it wasnt Anette who was wrong for Nightwish. They were wrong for her. They limited her and everyone knows it. Dont believe that? Notice the crowd was cheering "Floor!" Instead of "Nightwish!". The band said nope, we wont have that. And now look at their most recent album. Everyone knows Floor is a beast and has a huge, versatile voice.... yet where the hell is that voice on their album? Her vocals were boring and small. Floor said he wanted her to use a smaller voice and that it was hard and weird to do. Anette can do any style you throw at her. This was only after 1 week of classical training. Imagine if she took it seriously and decided to continue with the training. All the haters would cry.
I mean, nobody forced Floor to join Nightwish, plus she still has her own band so she can do whatever she wants with her voice, anybody who listens to Nightwish knows that since Once (but it could be argued even before) they are not about showing off anymore, and there's nothing wrong with using an understated voice. Take Timo Kotipelto, he hated that Timo Tolkki always wrote songs in which he had to sing very high, and Floor surely doesn't hold back in live settings. I'm not defending Nightwish in that I approve of how they go about parting ways with their singers, I'd slap them all if I could, but the music doesn't have anything to do with it. Floor was very present in the conception of the album and could have left had she not felt Nightwish were a good fit for her, after all she has her band and she's a very accomplished and successful singer, they are lucky she accepted to stay. You don't have to scream all the time to make it in metal, especially when you already have proven your worth, sometimes it's nice to hold back and just sing, and in Nightwish it's all about the music nowadays, if you listen to the music the boys don't show off too, Endless Forms Most Beautiful could have been an entirely different album had they decided to make an Oceanborn kind of record, but that is not what they (and I include Floor) wanted (plus she sings quite heavily in many songs, Weak Fantasy, The Greatest Show on Earth, Shudder before the Beautiful etc)

This lesser known, BEAUTIFUL performance, which Anette seldom to never makes any mention of, tells me that the problem wasn't her or her vocal range, but Toumas and his narcissism. And she moved on to become a nurse!..... How many metal singers have done that!?
Not exactly one of her best performances but I think the aria suits her voice well. Now I can say I would be very interested if Anette releases more material with her singing in a classical technique. I think she could sound astonishing!
Well, no. I'm amazed how many Floor fans say she is great in classical singing. Anette can't be great in it either, she has no experience to the style. She did great after only a week's practice, but she is nowhere near to classical singing. This was an impossible job given to her. Love Anette to pieces, but to be good in classical style, one needs a LOT of experience. Would take years before she could record classical songs. She knows it well, she was smart when she sung Tarja era songs in contemporary style.

Un álbum demasiado pretencioso, aburrido y mediocre... esperemos que en vivo esté mucho mejor, porque Floor tiene una voz increíble, lástima que Tuomas la haya deslucido y limitado tanto. Anette always had a good voice so haters can shut up forever. This was awesome, if she took more of this classical training she could sing opera just like some of the best metal vocalists. Too bad Nightwish never gave her a chance to show her true talent.
To sing this properly one needs classical training, Anette doesn't. She didn't sing Nightwish Tarja-era songs in classical style either (which was smart). Of course it doesn't compare well to people who have had years of training! She was given an impossible assaignment. I'd say, unfair. She's a good sport!
Simply because Tuomas wanted (and still does by the looks of the latest NW album) to move away from anything operatic. I, too, love her head voice. The moment I fell in love with her was when I heard her sing the beginning of Ghost Love Score. That was magic.
MeghanLane Don't think that's true, especially if you listen to Greatest Show on Earth in which Floor sings some parts in a completely lyrical style, and in the rest of the album she seamlessly leads the choirs in a clearly lyrical style.This isn't really opera, it's Anette singing in head voice, trying to infuse with it a little opera flair (this isn't a criticism, it's impossible in my opinion to learn opera in such a short time). If you follow her FB, she uploaded a song from Phantom of the Opera a while ago sung similarly, and when people asked her why she never sang like that in NW, she said the reason was that she didn't feel confident enough and was afraid to be criticized. So it really had nothing to do with Tuomas.
Rotem P My deduction was based on the general direction the band had taken starting with the “Once” album, which saw a departure from the predominant classical approach of the vocalist in the earlier albums, followed by the decision to choose a vocalist that was not classically trained. More recently, there was Tuomas’ request that Floor not use head voice too much (as evidenced by the change in her technique when performing the old songs after her first few concerts with the band). This was already stated a few times in interviews - and obviously, the one who created the band would have much to do with the direction of the band. I do agree that Anette is far more comfortable using her chest voice and belting her heart out - likely a large part of the reason why she got the job in the first place (if out of 2000 applicants, 1999 or so were Tarja clones there wasn’t really much competition - again, considering the direction the band was taking at the time). She is excellent at it, I just wish she would branch out more and experiment with her head voice as well.
I think that Tuomas just doesnt want classical vocals in his music after Tarja...New songs of Nightwish are full of non-classical elements no matter of that they have a dramatic soprano for vocalist! And in the end I want to say that ANETTE IS THE BEST!

Es indudable que Annet canta muy bien, de hecho conocí a la banda Nightwish con la voz de ella, me enamore de la canción Meadows of heaven, y era la primera vez que escuchaba la banda, seguí explorando y los escuche con la voz de flor, quien también me pareció una muy buena vocalista, así que me fui mas atrás hacia sus inicios, y al escuchar la impactante y poco usual voz de tarja, no solo me fascine sino que ademas me hice su seguidora a tal punto de escuchar toda su música ahora como solista, claro esta que mi preferencia es la música lírica y quizá por eso el estilo metal sinfónico de Tarja me ha llenado tanto, y de hecho la prefiero, por encima de las otras dos vocalistas, a pesar que la escuche de ultimo, es obvio que Annet no cantaba así, y que después de su traumatica salida del grupo se propuso mejorar, y eso me parece excelente, por eso pienso que las comparaciones no vienen al caso, cada una tiene su estilo propio y cada quien tiene derecho a seguir a la que mejor le parezca, aunque también reconozco que fue un error del director de la banda, hacer que Annet cantara las canciones que había cantado tarja con su impresionante lírica a la cual tenia acostumbrados a los seguidores de Nightwish, y tal vez es eso lo que no perdonan muchos de los seguidores de la banda, y pienso que ese es mi caso.
Muy buena apreciacion Teresa, pero no fue traumática su salida de Nightwish ya que ella renuncio a la banda porque se sintió traicionada ya que no la apoyaron cuando más los necesitaba, tuvo problemas de salud y también un nuevo ser crecía en su vientre 👶😊 , haci que Thomas y los demás no quisieron reprogramar las fechas de conciertos, yo pienso que más allá de su salud fue por su embarazo, como sabrás una embarazada los últimos meses debe guardar reposo necesario y post parto también, haci que Thomas fundador de la banda ya no quería parar como lo hicieron con el embarazo anterior de Anette si, Anette tiene 3 hijos y dos de sus tres embarazos se dio estando en Nightwish. En mi caso Anette es mi favorita, tanto que dentro de poco me haré un tatuaje 😅, su música ha calado tanto en mí que he llorado escuchándola, su voz me ha acompañado en mis momentos más difíciles y me ha ayudado mucho, reconozco que las tres son muy buenas cantantes cada una en su estilo, las tres son sopranos como sabrás, Anette soprano clásico, Floor soprano gutural y Tarja soprano lírico. Yo me quedo con lo clásico 😊, escucho a Anette Olzon y la sigo desde antes y después de Nightwish. Te recomiendo el poeta y el péndulo de Nightwish en la voz de Anette si aún no lo has escuchado. Wow, WHY did she not sing like this in Nightwish??? The pop style, for ME, wasn’t as good live (again just MY opinion) but I’m glad she’s doing GREAT things now in The Dark Element, her Solo CD & Allen/Olzon project!
Yeah she was eliminated after this. I think Anette didn't put so much work in practicing in Finland, she never had big show like others and her performances were vety simple. Then she is not a big big name in Finland like the others, she can't really communicate or act like Finns do. So she doesn't have the "we know her" nor "we like her personality" thing that others have. On top of that, this was weak and pretty boring performance.
Angelo Ibrahim She didn't really have any memorable performances and I feel like it was pretty much her time to go. I might have eliminated Roope Salminen and possibly Arja Koriseva before her but based on all her perormances she certainly wouldn't have deserved to make it to the top 3. Even here it's clear she struggles to hit some of the notes, much like Laura Voutilainen and Krista Siegfrids did in their performances, but she comes out the weakest of three because her performance is just dull compared to theirs.
Oh and is "fun" to see some of you "Anette" fans doing the same thing that was done to her to Floor...get over it, I mean I miss her in the band and she left too soon...but get over the whole drama
Ella tiene una voz muy hermosa, pero Toumas y Marco la obligaron a cantar con simpleza y de modo infantil. Los que escuchamos a After Forever, nos hemos preguntado por qué Floor ya no canta igual en Nightwish, esto es debido a que Toumas decide cómo se canta, incluso si eso implica reprimir el talento. Ninguna de las 3 cantantes ha podido lucir el total de su voz con Nightwish, porque los misoginos miembros de Nightwish reprimen el talento de sus cantantes. No sé cuanto tiempo dure Floor, después de las mamadas que Nightwish le hizo a Anette y Tarja, espero que los miembros hayan aprendido a respetar.
Miss Jilliane Opino lo mismo que tu, Floor Jansen me gustaba mucho en After Forever y ReVamp, en Nightwish no canta como todos estamos acostumbrados a escucharla (y no es que suene mal). No se por que tengo la idea que ella también no durará mucho. También últimamente ella se enfermo, espero no le siga sucediendo por que la diva de Toumas se enoja y corre gente. Anette Olzon me gustaba mucho (en Sahara y Scartale me fascinaba) y cantando opera wooow!! me quedo sin palabras.

Romina Lotocki lo siento, mi inglés no es bueno. Respondiendo a tu pregunta, en ninguna banda, sino mal creo. Si bien es cierto que más de una vez ella dijo que la razón de no cantar así era que no se sentía cómoda o segura con el estilo, NW también modificó su estilo de música después de que Tarja fuera despedida. En varias ocasiones Tuomas mencionó que deseaba tomar otra dirección en sus composiciones.
Te cuento algo: soy cantante, y personalmente jamás dejé que el lider de un grupo me venga a decir como cantar, sino que lo hacia como me salia del alma en ese momento. Lo q pasaba entonces era q o bien lo aceptaban, o me decian q lo modifique. pero jamas me dijeron: canta asi o te vas. Un cantante puede decir que es lo que quiere hacer ya que es un miembro importante. Personalmente, jamas hubiera llamado a Annette para cantar en una banda como Nightwish porque e faltaba mucho estudio vocal para ello ya q se trata de una banda de conservatorio. Tal vez Tuomas intento instruirla y ella no supo entenderlo, pero en fin, no lo sabremos nunca.

Tuomas no es santo de mi devoción, por lo que sé, al ser el líder y principal compositor puedo llegar a pensar que los demás deben acoplarse a él, pero como dijiste, nunca lo sabremos a ciencia cierta. I don't know why you talking about 😂 but i love this voice sooooo much,i don't know and i don't care about her training and capabilities but I know that she gave me chills always and i love her work with NW 💕 her albums are still in my top list and i love her new work with Dark element. Annette can singing a pop song a jazz song and rock metal song also. She is chemaleon of music 🎶. Also I believe that Tarja's fans and now Floor's fans hate her , because she prove to NW fans that she is perfect good 😉 with two best selling albums. The real NW fans always love her and, never compare her with Tarja because they are different and that it was Tuomas wanted that time. I have a big respect to this Lady but also respect and love the other two 😉 singers.

Cantes arias o una canción popular, cuando no sabés o no tenes suficiente práctica o entrenamiento pasa ésto... que lamentablemente suena horrible. Sorry pero busca otra versión de esta obra y vas a ver que hasta los estdiantes de nivel inicial la cantan.

Pues, toma en cuenta que ella no tiene ningún entrenamiento en canto clásico, ni lírico y en mi opinión, dio tanto la talla como la turunen (que si sabes de música también sabrás de sus fallos). Anette tiene una voz linda y muy versatil (te recomiendo oírla en el disco imaginaerum o su disco como solista ) y eso de soprano sobreaguda no existe, puede referirse a soprano ligera, de coloratura, lo cual puede ser, necesitaria aprender bel canto para explotar su voz. La cosa es que nightwish tubo una buena vocalista, que les dejo un buen disco y no los hizo empeorar , de ninguna forma. Y ya dije.
Annette si tiene estudios musicales, en la misma revista que mencione hace mucho tiempo, ella menciona que es hija de una soprano reconocida en su país y que vivía en un remolque pues su madre pasaba en gira, cuando era pequeña, ahora, todo, ABSOLUTAMENTE TODOOOO suena bien en el CD pero en vivo tanto Tarja como Anette tienen las mismas falencias, las mismas, en vivo no son mas que cantantes escualidas, una que se la da de bailarina o showwoman y optra que jura que tiene 15 años. he visto conciertos en vivo de las tres vocalista y sin duda Floor Jansen es la unica que muestra calidad vocal en vivo, el autotune hace milagros y annette olzon es la prueba de eso, el disco es de Toumas, y a la tipa no le dio la calidad ni por el lado.

Those 'riffs' are actually called trills or mellismas, and are quintessential for operatic singing, especially for the opera songs from the time period she sings here. If you hear other renditions for this aria, you'll see other singers do them very much alike, although with more vocal control and easier passages between the notes.
I'm not judging, I have a difficult time as well when singing trills in the soprano range, while my trills in the mezzo or alto range are completely controlled. This is why I think she "failed" in this one- she should have chosen a song that would have shown off her beautiful vocal skills instead of one that highlighted her flaws. I hope she goes back to vocal classes, and really hope she will take up classical and lyrical style singing lessons to really learn and know her voice inside out.

Regarding your last comment, I disagree- I think both Floor and Anette have lovely lower ranges- very clear, very controlled and with a beautiful color- each of her own. I think Floor's "advantage" is that she had really studied her voice and knows exactly what sounds good, allowing her to work on her disadvantages while concealing them. If Anette puts in the same effort, I know she'll soar and her voice will become just incredible. I was always confused as to why she stopped taking voice lessons when she was young, and didn't pick them up again when she got into NW and decided that singing will be her career.

I used to be an Anette hater when she first came out but when Nightwish were promoting to the new album (her first album) her live performances won me over. No one wants to give Anette credit but clearly she's a talented vocalist and remains my favorite. It's unfortunate nightwish didn't allow her to showcase her range and talent
Actually Dark Passion Play album was full of high dramatic notes where she could have shown all her power, but to my ear the notes sounded pretty "loosely" just like here. Some strength and more practice might get her there.

Everyone knows Floor is a beast and has a huge, versatile voice.... yet where the hell is that voice on their album? Her vocals were boring and small. I mean, nobody forced Floor to join Nightwish, plus she still has her own band so she can do whatever she wants with her voice, anybody who listens to Nightwish knows that since Once (but it could be argued even before) they are not about showing off anymore, and there's nothing wrong with using an understated voice. Take Timo Kotipelto, he hated that Timo Tolkki always wrote songs in which he had to sing very high, and Floor surely doesn't hold back in live settings. I'm not defending Nightwish in that I approve of how they go about parting ways with their singers, I'd slap them all if I could, but the music doesn't have anything to do with it. Floor was very present in the conception of the album and could have left had she not felt Nightwish were a good fit for her, after all she has her band and she's a very accomplished and successful singer, they are lucky she accepted to stay. You don't have to scream all the time to make it in metal, especially when you already have proven your worth, sometimes it's nice to hold back and just sing, and in Nightwish it's all about the music nowadays, if you listen to the music the boys don't show off too, Endless Forms Most Beautiful could have been an entirely different album had they decided to make an Oceanborn kind of record, but that is not what they (and I include Floor) wanted (plus she sings quite heavily in many songs, Weak Fantasy, The Greatest Show on Earth, Shudder before the Beautiful etc)

Well, no. I'm amazed how many Floor fans say she is great in classical singing. Anette can't be great in it either, she has no experience to the style. She did great after only a week's practice, but she is nowhere near to classical singing. This was an impossible job given to her. Love Anette to pieces, but to be good in classical style, one needs a LOT of experience. Would take years before she could record classical songs. She knows it well, she was smart when she sung Tarja era songs in contemporary style.

To sing this properly one needs classical training, Anette doesn't. She didn't sing Nightwish Tarja-era songs in classical style either (which was smart). Of course it doesn't compare well to people who have had years of training! She was given an impossible assaignment. I'd say, unfair. She's a good sport!

I, too, love her head voice. The moment I fell in love with her was when I heard her sing the beginning of Ghost Love Score. That was magic.
MeghanLane Don't think that's true, especially if you listen to Greatest Show on Earth in which Floor sings some parts in a completely lyrical style, and in the rest of the album she seamlessly leads the choirs in a clearly lyrical style.This isn't really opera, it's Anette singing in head voice, trying to infuse with it a little opera flair (this isn't a criticism, it's impossible in my opinion to learn opera in such a short time). If you follow her FB, she uploaded a song from Phantom of the Opera a while ago sung similarly, and when people asked her why she never sang like that in NW, she said the reason was that she didn't feel confident enough and was afraid to be criticized. So it really had nothing to do with Tuomas.
Rotem P My deduction was based on the general direction the band had taken starting with the “Once” album, which saw a departure from the predominant classical approach of the vocalist in the earlier albums, followed by the decision to choose a vocalist that was not classically trained. More recently, there was Tuomas’ request that Floor not use head voice too much (as evidenced by the change in her technique when performing the old songs after her first few concerts with the band). This was already stated a few times in interviews - and obviously, the one who created the band would have much to do with the direction of the band.
I do agree that Anette is far more comfortable using her chest voice and belting her heart out - likely a large part of the reason why she got the job in the first place (if out of 2000 applicants, 1999 or so were Tarja clones there wasn’t really much competition - again, considering the direction the band was taking at the time). She is excellent at it, I just wish she would branch out more and experiment with her head voice as well.
I think that Tuomas just doesnt want classical vocals in his music after Tarja...New songs of Nightwish are full of non-classical elements no matter of that they have a dramatic soprano for vocalist! And in the end I want to say that ANETTE IS THE BEST!

Es indudable que Annet canta muy bien, de hecho conocí a la banda Nightwish con la voz de ella, me enamore de la canción Meadows of heaven, y era la primera vez que escuchaba la banda, seguí explorando y los escuche con la voz de flor, quien también me pareció una muy buena vocalista, así que me fui mas atrás hacia sus inicios, y al escuchar la impactante y poco usual voz de tarja, no solo me fascine sino que ademas me hice su seguidora a tal punto de escuchar toda su música ahora como solista, claro esta que mi preferencia es la música lírica y quizá por eso el estilo metal sinfónico de Tarja me ha llenado tanto, y de hecho la prefiero, por encima de las otras dos vocalistas, a pesar que la escuche de ultimo, es obvio que Annet no cantaba así, y que después de su traumatica salida del grupo se propuso mejorar, y eso me parece excelente, por eso pienso que las comparaciones no vienen al caso, cada una tiene su estilo propio y cada quien tiene derecho a seguir a la que mejor le parezca, aunque también reconozco que fue un error del director de la banda, hacer que Annet cantara las canciones que había cantado tarja con su impresionante lírica a la cual tenia acostumbrados a los seguidores de Nightwish, y tal vez es eso lo que no perdonan muchos de los seguidores de la banda, y pienso que ese es mi caso.
Muy buena apreciacion Teresa, pero no fue traumática su salida de Nightwish ya que ella renuncio a la banda porque se sintió traicionada ya que no la apoyaron cuando más los necesitaba, tuvo problemas de salud y también un nuevo ser crecía en su vientre 👶😊 , haci que Thomas y los demás no quisieron reprogramar las fechas de conciertos, yo pienso que más allá de su salud fue por su embarazo, como sabrás una embarazada los últimos meses debe guardar reposo necesario y post parto también, haci que Thomas fundador de la banda ya no quería parar como lo hicieron con el embarazo anterior de Anette si, Anette tiene 3 hijos y dos de sus tres embarazos se dio estando en Nightwish. En mi caso Anette es mi favorita, tanto que dentro de poco me haré un tatuaje 😅, su música ha calado tanto en mí que he llorado escuchándola, su voz me ha acompañado en mis momentos más difíciles y me ha ayudado mucho, reconozco que las tres son muy buenas cantantes cada una en su estilo, las tres son sopranos como sabrás, Anette soprano clásico, Floor soprano gutural y Tarja soprano lírico. Yo me quedo con lo clásico 😊, escucho a Anette Olzon y la sigo desde antes y después de Nightwish. Te recomiendo el poeta y el péndulo de Nightwish en la voz de Anette si aún no lo has escuchado. Yeah she was eliminated after this. I think Anette didn't put so much work in practicing in Finland, she never had big show like others and her performances were vety simple. Then she is not a big big name in Finland like the others, she can't really communicate or act like Finns do. So she doesn't have the "we know her" nor "we like her personality" thing that others have. On top of that, this was weak and pretty boring performance.
Angelo Ibrahim She didn't really have any memorable performances and I feel like it was pretty much her time to go. I might have eliminated Roope Salminen and possibly Arja Koriseva before her but based on all her perormances she certainly wouldn't have deserved to make it to the top 3. Even here it's clear she struggles to hit some of the notes, much like Laura Voutilainen and Krista Siegfrids did in their performances, but she comes out the weakest of three because her performance is just dull compared to theirs.

Ella tiene una voz muy hermosa, pero Toumas y Marco la obligaron a cantar con simpleza y de modo infantil. Los que escuchamos a After Forever, nos hemos preguntado por qué Floor ya no canta igual en Nightwish, esto es debido a que Toumas decide cómo se canta, incluso si eso implica reprimir el talento. Ninguna de las 3 cantantes ha podido lucir el total de su voz con Nightwish, porque los misoginos miembros de Nightwish reprimen el talento de sus cantantes. No sé cuanto tiempo dure Floor, después de las mamadas que Nightwish le hizo a Anette y Tarja, espero que los miembros hayan aprendido a respetar.
Miss Jilliane Opino lo mismo que tu, Floor Jansen me gustaba mucho en After Forever y ReVamp, en Nightwish no canta como todos estamos acostumbrados a escucharla (y no es que suene mal). No se por que tengo la idea que ella también no durará mucho. También últimamente ella se enfermo, espero no le siga sucediendo por que la diva de Toumas se enoja y corre gente. Anette Olzon me gustaba mucho (en Sahara y Scartale me fascinaba) y cantando opera wooow!! me quedo sin palabras.

Romina Lotocki lo siento, mi inglés no es bueno. Respondiendo a tu pregunta, en ninguna banda, sino mal creo. Si bien es cierto que más de una vez ella dijo que la razón de no cantar así era que no se sentía cómoda o segura con el estilo, NW también modificó su estilo de música después de que Tarja fuera despedida. En varias ocasiones Tuomas mencionó que deseaba tomar otra dirección en sus composiciones.
Te cuento algo: soy cantante, y personalmente jamás dejé que el lider de un grupo me venga a decir como cantar, sino que lo hacia como me salia del alma en ese momento. Lo q pasaba entonces era q o bien lo aceptaban, o me decian q lo modifique. pero jamas me dijeron: canta asi o te vas. Un cantante puede decir que es lo que quiere hacer ya que es un miembro importante. Personalmente, jamas hubiera llamado a Annette para cantar en una banda como Nightwish porque e faltaba mucho estudio vocal para ello ya q se trata de una banda de conservatorio. Tal vez Tuomas intento instruirla y ella no supo entenderlo, pero en fin, no lo sabremos nunca.

Cantes arias o una canción popular, cuando no sabés o no tenes suficiente práctica o entrenamiento pasa ésto... que lamentablemente suena horrible. Sorry pero busca otra versión de esta obra y vas a ver que hasta los estdiantes de nivel inicial la cantan.

Pues, toma en cuenta que ella no tiene ningún entrenamiento en canto clásico, ni lírico y en mi opinión, dio tanto la talla como la turunen (que si sabes de música también sabrás de sus fallos). Anette tiene una voz linda y muy versatil (te recomiendo oírla en el disco imaginaerum o su disco como solista ) y eso de soprano sobreaguda no existe, puede referirse a soprano ligera, de coloratura, lo cual puede ser, necesitaria aprender bel canto para explotar su voz. La cosa es que nightwish tubo una buena vocalista, que les dejo un buen disco y no los hizo empeorar , de ninguna forma.

Annette si tiene estudios musicales, en la misma revista que mencione hace mucho tiempo, ella menciona que es hija de una soprano reconocida en su país y que vivía en un remolque pues su madre pasaba en gira, cuando era pequeña, ahora, todo, ABSOLUTAMENTE TODOOOO suena bien en el CD pero en vivo tanto Tarja como Anette tienen las mismas falencias, las mismas, en vivo no son mas que cantantes escualidas, una que se la da de bailarina o showwoman y optra que jura que tiene 15 años. he visto conciertos en vivo de las tres vocalista y sin duda Floor Jansen es la unica que muestra calidad vocal en vivo, el autotune hace milagros y annette olzon es la prueba de eso, el disco es de Toumas, y a la tipa no le dio la calidad ni por el lado.
Coinsido con tigo en que Floor es la mejor, de hecho es mi cantante favorita, pero no concuerdo con lo de que Anette le quedo pequeña a Nightwish, porque Tarja era mas o menos igual y todos respetaban la banda.
