I’m 76 and I’m trying walking backwards (10 minutes) on days I don’t run (Tuesdays, 😅 8:40 Thursdays, Saturdays). Right foot maybe cuboid and left foot on top of foot but do appear to hurt me when I’m running . Yet though it may be the walking backwards is the problem yet I feel more secure running. I do have toe spacers which I put on once
Hi Rich! Here are a few videos on foot health and foot exercises that you may benefit from. th-cam.com/video/0w_6N8TR1y4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fJClIDx2j5wwi51s th-cam.com/video/vbCvO4Gqksg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0GvPo8htpKgTy39q
I recently just got a stress fracture. Couldn’t even walk and put pressure on my left foot. Now I’m wearing a boot for two weeks: just praying this heals quicker than normal 😢
@@smw4020 hey! Believe it or not my foot healed up quick. In less than 2 months. The only sucky thing was walking after wearing the boot. I was suppose to have it on for 2 weeks but I opted for 4 because I really wanted to make sure I was ok. Just rest when you can, don’t put too much pressure on it and it will Heal in no time!
Thank you for helping me out with this video clip. But its my 48th day i have broken my 2nd 3rd and 4th metatarsal and now i feel pain in my ankle. I am using Hoka shoes now with little pressure on the toe but on the ankle and my ankle pain so much. Its my 8th day i have removed the POP.
Quick question I fractured my fifth metatarsal in my right foot last year. I came back, and I have been playing well, but recently I have gotten a bone bruise on my heel. It’s not bad, with no discoloring, but it’s been going well need to know if this will affect my past injury and how I can prevent discomfort and continue to get better???
Heel bruises can be tough. It might cause you to use slightly different mechanics in your foot, but hard to say how it might impact your past injury. Reducing impact on that heel by activity modification or using a more cushioned heel during the recovery might be a good place to start.
Its been 36 days after my 5 meta tarsal fracture pain still there ,cant bear weight on that leg , I am 22 years old weigh little heavy 95 kg The supplements i use Vitamin d and calcium Omega capsule Hadjod ayurvedic bone healing medicine Multivitamin Ngl after taking all of this i get slow results
Thank you Alex! Will Keep this in mind for future videos! I also have a platform you can find at jen.health where we have several different PT plans. Foot/Ankle is one of them. You're welcome to check that out & get a free week!
My question is about resting pain. I don't have resting pain unless I touch a specific area. With these type of fractures, would the entire metatarsal be sensitive to touch or would it only be an isolated area. I'm asking about a slight pain on or near the metatarsal of my middle toe.
Hmm it is difficult to say exactly. There are a few different diagnoses that could cause pain in the metatarsal area of the middle toe. So without further assessment it would be tough to definitely say.
It's tough to say exactly what to do because we are unable to do an assessment on you to get a better understanding of what it is. Here is a video on heel pain and plantar fasciitis that you could try out: th-cam.com/users/shortsKpxOxTB4ELc
I had foot surgery. My employer HR manager denied my doctor's recommendations after surgery and I got a stress fracture now. This video is absolutely helpful. There is still swelling underneath my foot is that normal?
So glad you found it helpful! I guess it is hard to say depending on the status of the injury. However, swelling can definitely happen in conjunction with stress fractures.
Sounds like you are putting too much pressure in this area on your foot. Really working on the flexibility of your foot into pronation and supination as well as working on foot stability exercises would be a great start!
I know this is an older video, so I don’t expect a response. But when should I go to the doctor for pain if I’m not positive that it’s a stress fracture? I’m a competitive dancer and had a comp last weekend, and in class on Tuesday I started noticing the pain. It’s been a week and it hasn’t seemed to improve other than when I rest, but sometimes I notice the pain more when I rest. I was just gonna ignore it unless it got worse, but when I woke up this morning it hurt after not being on it yet. And it is the outside of the foot, so likely the 5th metatarsal. But my parents don’t want to waste money on an appointment for it to be nothing.
Hi there, thanks for watching the video! Unfortunately there’s no way for us to diagnose anything over TH-cam so we always recommend seeing your primary doctor if you’re concerned. It might help you get some peace of mind!
oh no! hopefully some of our videos help. I also have a foot pain plan on my digital physical therapy platform. The first week is free if you'd like to try it out! jen.health/freetrial
I would look into Robert Morse ND’s regenerative detox recommendations. He puts people on a fruit based diet with herbs to heal the whole body and address structural issues and low calcium utilization.
What an awesome video! gave me so much more to think about & incorporate into my foot rehab
Thanks so much for watching!

When after injury should you start the exercises ?
Always depends on the severity of the stress injury!
Same question. Would love a more specific answer?
How should I deal with pain activated occasionally by walking on hard surface barefooted? It’s around the sesamoid bones.

I have stress fracture i have done plaster for 7 days but after that i removed plaster what should i do now i feel pain in foot
Unfortunately we can't give specific medical advice on fractures. I'd recommend trying to see a physical therapist in person to get more direct advice

@@docjenfit ok thankfully it was just a soreness in my tendons in my foot
Can i play cricket after healing
If you rehab correctly you should be able to get back to your activities!
Don't do any strong exercises untill your fracture is mended
Thank you!
