Looking forward to seeing it doing some more gymnastics. My max6 can be programmed via Bluetooth and I was able to fit it without cutting the side. Instead I cut a little lip off the inside bottom of the esc plate. I have the 4990 motor though, wonder what the difference is between the two. I know longer cans typically have better torque, so I'd guess that one has more speed 👍

Heck yeah man, shes gonna get ramped hard soon. I have used the Bluetooth on my 56118sd combo when I was out with friends and needed to make an adjustment. The Program box was just more convenient here. So the motor shaft is 8mm on the 5690 and the shaft is way longer then the 4990 so you have to put the esc in sideways and it makes the wires literally rest on the driveshafts, hence why I had to cut the side skirt. You can cut the rotor shaft and I often do on helicopters because sometimes you have no choice but here i had the choice and didnt want to. With a 4990 yes you can put the esc in normally but not with the 5690. So the 5690 has a ton more torque and a massively bigger/heavier rotor shaft and magnets. Torque and HP is considerably more with the 5690 over the 4990. Also having a bigger diameter can always runs cooler. It can also be geared much higher without overheating if you want.

@@NomisRC Oh I thought it was shorter for some reason. Didn't know that the shaft was longer, makes sense now. I broke a rear axle with mine. I'd guess you're gonna break lots of parts lol

@@keldonator I have a 5687, the non sensored version max6 160amp combo in another Kraton. Its been good so far. Sometimes I bust a rear EXB diff ring gears but its not super often. No axle busting yet. You may want to check for binding. Usually its from your cups being worn and then the axle can bind and have no where else to go but into pieces. That Ive had happen on my Kraton, outcast, and X-Maxx from time to time if im not swapping diff cups often enough. But yeah the 5690 shaft is 30% longer according to to hobbywing then the 4990. 4990 is 20mm and this is 30mm.

@@NomisRC You know there were some small rocks stuck in the arm, maybe that's what caused it to break. It's pretty new still (2 months old) so it couldn't be worn out yet. I am running it on 8s if that could be what caused it I dunno. This is my first bigger basher so it's all pretty new to me still. I really like the vitavon stuff on my scx6 so I have some vitavon axles on the way for the Kraton. Long wait from China lol

Nice dude 👍. I just did a max6 1650kv in a 6s and it’s awesome . I love it now with the controllability of the throttle . I’m on punch 2 with a 20t pinion . I really like the throttle travel . Every spot in the travel increased the more I lowered the punch and it really cut down the front end popping up but at full speeds it can pop up anytime 😂

Yeah the 1650s are great motors. Crazy powerful.

That is a ton of power . I forget what the stock was like now but it wasn’t bad at all . This g2 combo is zero comparison imho .

I like the max6 g2 1650kv sensored with a 20t atm but an 18t was pretty good as well . I might put that 18t back on . I got the punch all the way down to 2 with 4s backflips for ground pounding and 6s backflips seem really good for the kcrc ramp . Man l that sucker soars through the air when it hits that ramp with some speed . I usually keep it around 6-10’ high seems like where it safe , around 50 feet distance . Seems like when I go faster and past 75 ft something can break . Bent some shafts and a shock tower on the big ones . Blew an esc on a hot day and the stock servo died on the fifth pack . I have to say the exb servo saver seems like a gold standard

The 1650kv is an absolute animal haha. I agree 6-10' and 50' distance is kinda the sweet spot. Kinda what I did in this video. Barrels of fun without breaking your vehicle to bad.
