In the BB League headquarters you can invite old Gym leaders and friends and challenge them to a battle. They use stronger Pokémon and use different tactics then previous.

Just a suggestion, try using a team that is around 85-90 to give the audience some excitement . Although I like how you try not to use legendaries and mythicals for this.
I'm trying to find out which main game trainers changed their teams so I can update my list of "Pokemon that no major NPCs use". The idea is challenge myself to make a team whose Pokemon aren't used by ANY other major Trainer - a fully unique team, in short.
Sure I could cram it full of Legendaries, but that defeats the purpose of playing through the game with just mons that nobody else among rivals, Academy personnel and notable students, Gym Leaders, E4, Champions or Team Star members use. With the DLCs, I extended that to mons used by Blueberry students and faculty.
If you use your original team from the main game, it's almost impossible to not be level 100 if you fight the trainers and do the BBQs. That being said, you can easily catch and train a new team as well.
Will it be like the Academy Ace Tournament were you can repeated as often as you want to get a variety of rewards with each run after the first, the trainers will be random out of the possible trainers.
