Love it - people sunbathing on the beach in their Sunday Best, or maybe in some cases their working clothes. And there's that thematic phrase, 'once a year'. A seaside holiday really was strictly an annual event, it would seem.

Full of old people on coats dozing on deckchairs in the summer sun. Not my idea of a good time (and I live very close to Brighton).
