- We bring you behind the scenes to Create 4 Unique Film Looks in ONE Tiny Room in this week's Cinematic Lighting Tutorial. ONE day, ONE room, and ONE set of TINY cob lights. We're using the Zhiyun Molus X100 & Molus G60 to light these 4 film genres: Rom Com, Thriller, 80s Retro, Nostalgic Euphoria Vibes. Big thanks to @ZhiyunTechGlobal for working with us on this little challenge!

unreal what you can do with a suitcase of lights ! Im sure if you tapped into a Tarantino vibe you could pull out a epic film with all 4 genres mashed into that tiny (chicken coop) space.
Oooh should we do this next? Tarantino style but in a kitchen or something 😂
I enjoyed them all, but really loved the texture you put in front of the lights in the rom com. And I've used the same track you used for the retro scene.

You're so welcome! These are the best kinds of comments. Lighting is definitely so complex and we are just getting started with it, but we've found the best way so far is definitely, just by setting up made-up scenes and trying different looks with the lights.

Thanks so much Matt! That really means a lot. It was certainly a fun challenge and it tested our creativity big time. We were EXHAUSTED by the 4th scene and it was mostly mentally, due to constantly thinking and figuring things out!

I liked the retro look the most but I am more impressed with your dedication to show the creative ways you can use these lights. I wonder how long were you on location filming all of this :)
We also loved the Retro look too! It's Bart's favourite for sure :) As for how long we were filming this - it was probably around 8-9 hours in total and all in one day, as that's all the time we had!

Hmmm 80s Retro meets Romcom have a fling but cant be together for some obscure reason ... thriller the go out in a blase of glory or a romeo and juliet style and then the nostalgic euphoria kicks in because the meet back up in heaven / the afterlife ????
