I'm still finishing up a video about these lights andhonestly, I can't shut up about them! Easily my favourite lights of ever. Unless I'm trying to battle the sun or set up a book light/ massive soft box, these are all I use now.
The lights are so small but yet powerful. Love your DYI tutorials and how you manage to coach us on how to use our existing tools to make things happen.
I've seen 3 vids on these now... you killed it. I'm in awe of your expert handling of EVERYTHING. Your aesthetic is second to none as well. Kudos! Big fan!
Omg i want it, its been a while since ive seen something ive really wanted, like to the point where im looking at my budget to see how and when i can get it. Nice review and demonstration on this, I would say you just gave me G.A.S but I don't feel G.A.S'd up, these light setups are just perfect.
It’s been a while since I’ve been super excited about gear but man these are just too cool. Inspired to play with more lighting now because they are so easy to work with!
Really interesting. When planning your next travel series (so stoked), could you consider a BTS series that shows how you video outdoors with lights. For example, I cannot find a good vid on how to create a video of camp cooking or sitting around the fire. I was curious about the comment you made about using lights in the helicopter. How would you light and film in a car?
These look like a great and affordable and compact solution for quality studio lights you can travel with. Thank you for sharing! I would love to find more of those Zhiyun mini and baby light legs/stands at 12:26. I'm currently looking for more stands like them to use for Apurture MC LEDs and iPhone stands and these look perfect.
How cool are these?! I’ve always wanted to invest in proper lighting but never have because of budget limitations; now it seems like I can get started! Thanks for sharing, awesome tutorial as usual
Glad to see you guys again (I think I missed a few videos). Thank you for the review. I'm trying to fit a C-stand with a cob light and hood along with two additional lights in a small room I'm converting into a studio. It's a tight fit and this presented a couple more options.
Hi Becki - Loved the video! I know this is video centric, would you be able to ever in the future do a photoshoot with these lights, i.e constant light photoshoot I feel this might be a good option for a portable setup?
I have some cheap Amazon “studio lights” that work fine for us rn although I definitely saw someone using them in their OF promo 😂 one day I’ll link up with Becki and Chris and overhaul our setup to make it look 🔥
I would love to see it directly compared to some small (but still way bigger) 60 watt lights like the aputure 60x, Forza 60, or godox sl60 as examples to see if these tiny lights can hold up in terms of output. I know they will be less powerful but I'd love some context for brightness, especially if I wanna add diffusion in front and lose some of that output.
I have the SL60 (I think that’s the model) and didn’t notice much difference with the same type of modifier in front but I’ll have to try and do a side by side to see how they compare! Gerald Undone has a great breakdown of the technical side of the lights in terms of output and color accuracy!
@@BeckiandChris thanks, that's great news if this tiny light can really get close to its larger counterparts. Makes for a very interesting kicker light.
I was excited about it at first, until I've checked the barebone lights are sold higher than the competition and that "tiny", yet stupidly 24V DC port, is more expensive than a 200W Colbor that has been released 2 days ago with the bag, bowens mount reflector, base mount, and side NATO rail plate the lights is made out of aluminum. I expect these to get 50% off after they hit the reality wall.
amaran 60d (150$ USD) is nearly 1 third the price and brighter than the Molus x100 ($400 USD) - about the same size and a better build for a studio setup. for example they have a built in bowens mount so you don't need to pay extra for an adapter.
The only thing that bothers me is the price. Everyone keeps talking about affordability, but if you are trying to be affordable and you aren’t travelling, this is not the light for you. There are cheaper and just as powerful lights as these and once you have to buy all the add-ons for the x100 you’re hitting nearly 500 quid! The Amaran 60d is more than half the price of that and cheaper and more powerful than the G60 and barely bigger than it. The G60 can’t even be used without being plugged in via USB C! I think for travelling and shooting in small places the x100 is good, but I don’t see anyone buying 4 of these unless you have money to throw away, that or Zhiyun gives them to you.

They are so incredible hey? and way easier to move around than anything else!

Agreed, a practical review with actual examples of how best these gems could be used.
I have missed your content so much. Been a long time since I have been on youtube. its good to be back and now im gonna buy these lights.
I needed this! Definitely helpful to see the comparison. Cheers!
Those are such cute lights! That softbox...🥰
Your tutorials and breakdowns are always exceptional, Becki. Thank you, and greetings from Australia! 🦘
This has some throwback “Becki does a tutorial / review” video vibes, circa 2019! I love it!
Yessss! Haven’t done one in a while but was real excited for this one!

You can get the amaran 60w for $75-100 cheaper and it does the same h th info and is still prettt portable but these are cool

The lips are not synchronized with the audio. Anyway great video and I am following you now.
can anyone recommend a channel where there are NO SALES pitch promoting products and actually teach you something about filming?
I don't why I cant trust Chinese Products. Despite this fact that Chinese product are first priority in my country Price and availability wised. 🤔😶🌫
why are you wearing a hat indoors?
a review paid for by the manufacturer has no credibility
