I have Litchi but when using waypoints (the only reason I bought Litchi) the ACTIONS don't work so if I start video on take off I cant stop video at a wp. Take a pic then start video again. I have to run it twice ( well 3 actually as the 1st with gimble facing front to check for obstructions) then pass 2 for video and pass 3 for images. Cant think of a better way can you?
Nice to see Maven features in one video. You covered a lot of them. Very well done! It is a great app and the creator Michele Vagnetti keeps adding features. One I'd really like to see is a Pano camera mode similar to Litchi's auto and custom pano and stitcher. Another needed feature, is rather than having to "follow" the pilot ( following phone attached to the controller), is an option to instead follow a 2nd device (phone) that can be carried by the subject. That would allow the pilot to view and make flight adjustments while filming while not having to be in the video.
This is the app that I went to when no one else was supporting the Mavic Air 2, at the time. It’s really great to see Maven getting some well deserved attention. I’ve been paying attention to updates for well over a year and it’s obvious that hard work is being put in. The features, the drone compatibility, keeps growing and growing. Looking forward to seeing what Michele Vagnetti and Maven’s future brings us!
First time I have heard of Marvin. I like the part of cable either point to point or controller to a point. I also like the idea of setting a controlled area for my grandkids. Going to have investigate more.
wow - I just tested the Litchi for IOS follow and it worked great but kind of wish I'd waited for Maven - looks like it does all the Litchi and then some!

The MAVEN app looks like a really cool way to get more out of your drone. I use a Mini 2 on some of our Camping and Adventure vids and had never heard of the Maven app till now in your video. It is something I really should check out more. The geo fence would be great for letting my other half learn to fly ( if she learned how it would make my job a bit earier when making vids ) Thank for sharing this video about it. Also, you briefly mentioned height compensation… does that mean as I hike or drive the drone will stay… say 40 feet above ground even though I’m climbing in elevation? Maven. Looks like a great App. Really don’t understand why DJI themselves would not release something like it. Even if it is marketed as an upgrade to a premium control system for an additional cost.
Very impressive indeed. Looks to be a serious competitor to Litchi. Being a hardcore Android user this particular app might force me to get an iPhone or iPad though ;) Hopefully Maven will be coming to Android eventually..

Maven. Lots of cool stuff without a lot of work to use it. I like the geofence feature. Would love to teach my granddaughters how to fly without fear of a flyaway. Thanks for sharing.
Maven. Thanks for the information. I'm very interested in the Cable Cam, and the altitude compensation during tracking. I'm also very interested in the orbit while tracking the controller. Litchi doesn't do anything like that, and thats a huge win for Maven if it works well.

Maven looks to have some interesting features. Much nicer than Litchi and it looks as powerful as Dronelink, but perhaps a bit more oriented to on the fly use rather than pre-planned as Dronelink tends to be. I look forward to trying it out hopefully!!
I got Litchi based on your reviews, am considering getting Rainbow for the Hyperlapse functionality, but the Maven app also looks VERY interesting; the geofencing could really come in handy for letting others use my drone safely!

Same question came to my mind, why dji not to release such features for their drones instead of this miserable dji fly
It's really all about making money. Their philosophy is that if you want the extended features, then buy more expensive drone

You can also define max and a Minimum altitude for best security with your granddaughter 😀

Looks good, so far not got Litchi working properly on the Mini 2 though it works OK on the Mavic pro. Nice introduction.
