    I finished my physics degree last week, and I'm watching all of these videos to refresh / summarize what I've learned. Even some of the introductory course videos are unwinding things in my brain and making them much more clear. Thanks for the vids!

    I just finished my EE degree at WSU (Vancouver) this week, your lectures really help me get through it :). Thank you so much, Dr. Anderson.

    My favorite part of this video is that you could make your homemade magnet!

    Great video....got to sneak-in an integral...nice! :D There are lots of relationships between I and B. Very versatile part of physics.

    The B Field outside of the solonoid is not = 0. Every wire of the coil has a circular B Field around it and some of that B Field is outside the solenoid

    • @yoprofmatt
      @yoprofmatt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are completely correct. Well done. The field outside the solenoid is not zero, but typically much weaker than inside, so we approximate it as zero.

      Dr. A

    Mr matt Anderson this is not what I am looking for I what how did Integral of B.dl vector is become equal to Current inclosed Hope you will answer it

    Why is magnetic field outside the solenoid 0? If that's the case, there exists magnetic monopole... There should be a factor of 2 missing
