This guy makes it look effortless.
To get to 100+ like Chapman is wild. To get the 2 MPH or more and the work they have to put in is incredible.
Checking up his stats in the minors with the Pirates... Lots of Ks but also lots of walks. All runs unearned. If he lowers the amount of BBs he's gonna be nasty.
10 inning sample size so he could have more control than what the stats show atm. I suspect he'll lower those BBs to at least the 4/9 and if he gets down to 3...that's a ticket to the majors.
Simple.
When someone cleans up his mechanics he just might have a shot. Hard to be consistent and stay on your spot with that amount of recoil.
A walked batter is an earned run.
this guy jus causally sitting upper 90’s and getting drafted in the 5th makes professional baseball almost impossible
95+ is great but command still wins. Command here is poor and I bet he cant maintain the velo and throw strikes. Probably needs to be low 90s to be effective. So no, not impossible to be pro.
@@TrainAllSportsor, he can just develop command without losing velo. Not sure why people assume you have to throw slower in order to have more command. Also, his command was pretty good in here
I had a friend throwing 89 and the junior college team he tried out for didn't even care. You gotta be 92+ minimum it's ridiculous.
With 98 and knowing he at Vandy they're seeing something they don't like. It just don't add up. Way to good for 5th round.
@@nathanward5939you can get somewhat better control. But, that’s something your mostly just able to do or not. I grew up with several guys that could throw absolute heat. But, never could paint corners or have good off speed breaking stuff for strikes. There have been plenty of 95+ guys that never stuck around. Hope he does, im from tennesse and root for Vandy and UT
Been watching him in the minors...control is his issue. He learns control and he will be insane.
Hi how did NRyan learn to control his pitches?
@@go5582 - Tom House.
@@go5582 He didn't lol
These videos gives me an appreciation of how elite the pros are
I was on the same thought! This is top flight training
I love those side views, keep it in the next bullpen videos!
Makes it look easy. Love the videos.
His body movement is so big, it’s like a show every time he throws. Just tall and long armed.
dude was filthy at Vandy. Struggled with control a bit but his stuff was there against SEC competition. Won't be surprised to see this dude on an MLB roster soon
This is not coaching. They bro guys just go “common’ give me 200” regardless of your health. They just want it for TH-cam.
???
Our coaches are not incentivized by TH-cam views. We are a training company first and foremost.
He only went off because juice armed and dangerous was slapping in the background gave him more power than he usually has🔥
The room is 62' 6" long. Of course these pitchers feel juiced. This isn't real life or authentic conditions. These guys are desperately competing for fake success and false machismo awards. All average. All generic. All boring. Pro sports will chew them up until they get hurt, then spit them out for the next temporary chump.
this kid has easy gas and has a lot of potential. How did he last until the 5th round?
That is a wild room for some baseball practice. Someone needs to tell these guys to channel their inner Greg Maddux lol
Like his form fluid. It will take sometime to command the strike zone.
I love seeing the skill, but I will admit, my favorite part of these videos is the random dogs. Tell them all they are very good for me.
The look at 2:30 is all of us lol.
oh was there someone throwing triple digits? i was too busy staring at the pup 🐶
Wow this content team is really turning up the production
"Stop being a b*tch" 😂
haha, someone else heard that! To bad I could never take that seriously from someone wearing those shorts.
Draft pRick?
thats what im sayin
Coach sounds like one of those mafia movies where they speak entirely in code 😂
Tread’s music=underrated
What’s name of song at 2:30? Goes so good with this guys tempo/composure
I know right! I need it. Tread, can you please drop the playlists you’re using?

The dog in the cage was crazy
Bro top speeds are another 7kms faster than this, absolute madness
If this dude gets more leg drive, he will be scary
In the snow boots too!!
Throwing that hard, that slider needs to be at least 85
Damn, were y'all having a short shorts competition that day? Cute dog tho 👍
Dudes got levers
This dude is doing quite well in the minors.
Pat Reilly must known as HIM
I haven't heard someone say that a babe since i played baseball years ago that must be something that only said in baseball because i never heard someone say that a babe in no other sports
0:01 what the dog doin?
99 with a boot on….insane 😂
Dude that’s pat Reilly
Hmm….Wonder why elbow injuries continue to plague pitchers…
You feel better? There's risk in anything
@@sca1645 What are you talking about?
He may have been offered more money out of high school. Vandy has top coaching and he was sent to the bullpen.
Has a good chance in the pirates organization, might benefit being around Paul skenes. Good luck to all kids pursuing their dream.
Internet scouting report
Overall (40): The stuff is appealing, but Reilly hasn’t gotten to the point where he’s more than a raw arm. That profile grades well out of high school, but not as much in college, after a career that regressed to the bullpen. If the Pirates can get his stuff harnessed, they’ve got a fastball/slider reliever who knows how to add variation to both pitches.
Quit calling me babe!
Pirates. Awesome. Need the arms.
With some G unit in the background thats tough ! ha
are you guys just trying to get his arm hurt? its called PITCHING. Not THROWING
Just a velo pen to end his season. These are a good way to train intent and see where you're at before a post-season shutdown.
Kids just climbing the ladder
Personally I credit Shia LeBouf for any success he has going forward 🤷♂️
Mi amigo cangrejo suelta a 101 MPH
They will light him up. That’s batting practice. 😂😂😂
🤔
atta'babe is funny
Reilly was a dog at vandy. Good to see not much has changed
now thrwoing without the mount
Nasty stuff but seems he can't control his stuff at all... unless he figures out, doubt we will hear about him down the road
🤦♂️
What is Vandy
Vanderbilt
All that rah-rah BS defeats the point of being a pitcher. NOT trying to throw hard and still throwing hard is the key. Source - Former D1 Pitcher and draft pick turned D1 pitching coach after injury.
It's just a velo pen to cap off his season. This is not how his pens will be throughout the offseason after he ramps back up.
Cool dog
This is why we see arm injuries. These douches pushing him to throw harder than he would ever throw in order to last more than one inning
this is bullpen bro, players rarely get hurt throwing pullpens
It’s called intent
He has thrown this hard in games before...
Bro ain't no way you think people throwing as hard as they can causes injuries. Injuries are from unsafe mechanics, and if his mechanics were dangerous, they wouldn't be letting him throw hard.
Buddy, let the best development team in the game do their job. We all know guys like you that don’t get it. Stay washed up.
This guy balking like crazy. maybe practice like you play.
He reminds me of Logan Gilbert
Be careful throwing that comparison around. Logan Gilbert has tremendous command with a high effort delivery. This guy doesn’t have command in bullpens. Stuff is electric, but constantly missing up and arm side. I truly do wish him well though! As someone who went through the minor league grind I wish all these guys well!
At it babe?
Atta Babe.....
Yea, this is weird
typical Dodgers/Braves Bullupen session.
atta beb

Babe?
He might not be the nicest guy but name calling isn’t necessary I think.
Lmfao 😂😂😂😂
@@lousassle9387 maybe the social media manager has “Rocky Top” on his ringtone.
If someone says you throw like a pansy, your choices are: A) Prove them wrong. Or B) Be a pansy
@@wienersmcbutts You missed the reason why I posted that snark. Original title had an "r" inserted just after the "P" in Pick.
The way they talk is so cringe lol
Dogee 😀
Oh yeah first
Trying to kill bros arm wtf is this lol. Let’s think long term take care of your shoulder dude.
For context, he just finished his first pro season and came to the facility for an exit velo pen to assess biomechanics and create a plan for his offseason before a short shutdown period.
I'd rather command 92/93 than consistently throw 99+ and not know where it's going.
Sacrificing command for velo isn't very bright, velo is horribly overrated.
Dudes that command 92 get lit up nowadays
@@rico9163
That's total BS. 92 is plenty of fastball.
It's easier to command 95-96 if you can throw 100
To even pitch in college anymore you have to be at 92. And the big schools have kids hitting 97+ it's insane. I used to think 87 was fast
Starters with a good curve , slider and change can sit 92-94. Even at 97 Joba Chamberlin was better. I’d sit fastball middle in and take this guy 450ft.
Do they pay people to teach you how to pitch these days or just how to get tommy john surgery as fast as possible, so they can be in the growing 1/3 minority of MLB pitchers that have had the surgery. Asking for Jacob DeGrom, Tony Gonsolin, Shane McLanahan, and many other generational talents! It's an epidemic guys, and this surely does not help. Sad to see

not a fan of the lingo
Even more, that catcher is catching them like nothing. 🫡
Throw the splitter in the trash. Save your elbow. 98 4 seem, cutters and 2-3 bangers. All he needs. Especially locating 98. 🤌🏻👍🏻
