Love your videos. My son is 15U so hasn’t hit a USSSA bat in a couple of years. Look there is no way these USSSA bats are made for your swing speed but DAMM these bats are like porcelain!!!

@@TheRoadLessChosen Agreed! The only time they are like normal bats is 13u when they get on the big field or middle school ball. My kid goes to a a charter school and they could hit usssa bats in middle school but the public schools make the middle school kids hit bbcor

Have bats always been that fragile? Reminds me of the early 2000s hockey scene when composite first took over. People went from maybe $100-$120 max for the best 2-piece setups to $300-$350 for full composite and they were breaking like toothpicks. Companies like Easton, TXP, CCM would only validate 1 30-day warranty then you were fucked. These bats here are like $400+...

@jaybs5849 these bats aren't being swung by 12 year Olds. These are high school bats so you're talking 17-18 year Olds. And some of which can be almost mlb ready, of not AAA ready out of high school.

My son uses that hype fire and loves it. I know he will have to move up to bbcor soon but for fall ball he is loving it.
I’ve always been an Easton fan personally having one on me at all time especially in my cars but I ♥️ custom wooden sticks. That is seriously impressive. The only thing is the rotating balance can be off.
That Easton Reflex from the 90s is basically what brought bbcor bats along. It was literally too hot

Just got my Hype Fire for Christmas working on comparing it to the Cat X composite on my channel. Cat X swings a lot lighter and more balanced for sure.

Rolling the bats is supposed to add a little bit more pop although it’s probably a little bit overkill for the hype fire. Does anybody have any experience or know of anybody that has rolled the hype fire? How durable is it afterwards?

I broke my icon this weekend. Never hit it off a machine just my dad throwing me BP. Used it in my tourney this weekend and cracked it. We also tested out the hype vs icon. Hype had 1 mph more of Velo than the icon but it flew 24 ft further. I’m 12 and was using a 31-5. My teammate had a brand new icon this weekend as well and he cracked his too.

What happened to bruce bolt batting gloves? why is the the atlas still at 3, it broke on camera? keep up the excellent content, Ive bought 3 select powers, 2 bbcore and one u-trip, its cheating, a 22' cf-zen, a redline -5 brand new from texas, an easton reflex extended and have a bonesabr hybrid bbcore in route. Your channel has made me get back into the cage, Im 45 and haven't played organized since I was 23. I love hitting and it gives my 14 year old son and I more time to bond and exercise. My 11 year old is playing 13u, He has been swinging the CATX and has great results. He took a few cuts in practice with a team mates Hype and the barrel cratered. The team mate said that it was starting to spider web and it probably only had around 300 swings on it. But I will agree it has a higher exit velo than any bat I have ever seen. The coaches think that it is going to get banned by USSSA before spring, but that is just talk.

I'm looking for a USSSA bat for my 8U AA travel player. First time in travel and USSSA bats. Previous bat was a 27/15 USA Rawlings Threat. Probably looking for a 27/17. He's a pure contact hitter at this point, doesn't have a ton of power. Hoping to get at least 2 years (8U and 9U) use out of it.
We've been considering the CatX Composite, Hype Fire, and Rawlings Icon. Which would you recommend or would you recommend another?

Dont buy the Hype it will get banned soon i'm sure. Where do you live? don't get a composite and use it up in just cages and batting practices. You're son is 9 so i wouldn't go crazy with a bat because he could outgrow it pretty quick.

I play in a adult Sunday leagues team in the summer and I’m 16. I usually play third base and short. I play outfield bc I don’t want a ball coming at me at 110+ bc we can use any bats form besr to USSA to bbcor.
Y'all are killing me with the "the Hype Fire breaks"... of course it does when you have a fine specimen of a young man such as yourself hitting nukes with it!!! You are what 6ft tall, 195 lbs of lean mean hitting machine, 20-25 years old blasting baseballs with a USSSA bat...OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO BLOW UP!! I've been selling the Hype Fire to young players since it came out and I have no seen a warranty request yet...I know they happen but not yet in my pro shop. The average batter will get a lot of use out of the Hype Fire and the ICON as well as any other Easton or Rawlings bat. Keep up the good work y'al.
The Hype Fire will do okay especially in -8 and -10, but the Icon is gonna be a problem across the board.
At the very least, these are the most fragile bats we've ever swung in the USSSA composite space.
You are correct in saying "we've ever swung." For the 8-13 year old both bats are prime. The only ICON I have go back for warranty out of our shop is 1 - 33" BBCOR ICON (2023) that the end cap came off that is it!!!@@baseballbatbros
