Thanks to you I’m no longer worrying the cap had moisture but the oil was clean I was about to pull the engine apart then I saw your video. I gotta thank you buddy 🎉
This answers my question and just shows. Jiffy Lube is really pushing upsales this year. There was a very slight film on the engine cap. "You have moisture in your engine. We can do a full cleanout." Not interested.
My brothers forklift has quit a lot of milkshake beneath the camshaft cover. Could this be because he always uses it for short periods of time and never lets the engine warm up properly or is the head gasket leaking?
My new 24 hp lawn tractor dipstick had oil foam, I was worried, but now condensation seems likely. I'm now running a filter vent inside oil fill tube to vent out moisture during cold months.
Just noticed this on my 2017 STI… she’s leaking a bit of oil and i saw the cursed milkshake color on my oil cap and immediately thought my oil cooler gaskets are fading. For a car around 68k-70k I figured that would make the most sense. Maybe it’s something else tho. Hopefully I’ll get to the bottom of it today.
Thank you panic averted on my 4.7 dakota just noticed a waxy yellow film and a couple drops of water, I thought I was gonna have to drop $5000 in the next month
LITERALLY SAME! Got a 2000 dodge dakota, its happened once before that I've noticed right when I got the truck, drove her for about 50 miles and it subsided. I just got her running again after about a year sitting still so it makes sense a bit of water got in there, but still got that dreadful feeling when I saw the froth. On these 4.7s the head gasket is easy to get to compared to other models, but its never easy or fun! 🤣
Man, got a 2010 Ram 1500, with a 4.7, removed the oil cap today and found this milky substance stuck in there, also found some water drops, My stomack turned right away...checked the dipstick and oil is fine, zero coolant, please tell me what happened yo your truck, was it just moisture ?
@@CarlosRojas-oy7pm yeah it's just moisture buildup in the tube condensing from the temperature difference. I guess there's no way it will build up enough moisture to cause problems before you have to get an oil change anyways.
I check my engine dip stick and i saw a milkshake like color on the bottom part of the dip stick. Should i change the oil immediately or it is normal due to condensation? Tnx
I took my car in because I thought it was spark plugs. The mechanic drove it and said he did notice rpm slightly going up and down and slight jerk. He said it's due to water condensation. He recommended i get seafoam . Wondering what are my options. That's why I am here right now on the channel
Recently moved less then a mile from my job and it’s been cold, on my oil change this morning my Acura had a little of that yellowish slime under the oil cap, freaked out thought I blew the head gasket but I definitely didn’t, everything clean with my coolant, gotta just be condensation in the oil.
@@Sage.brush98I got lucky. It happened once. I wiped it away, and the problem hasn't returned. I spent 6 months doing daily 1 mile trips. That's probably what caused it.
Oh thankyou so much, all the other videos I just seen are going on about the head gasket 🤦 I always thought it would be on the dipstick if its the head gasket hey???
What about "the milkshake" in my PCV and Crankcase Vent Valve?.. I have a rough idle so I started with these two parts to see if that would help and I noticed white sludge.
Thank you for the explanation, my 2011 subaru STI had some but it was barley any, knowing the supposed unreliability of the subaru engine it started to get me worried, but I barley drive the car maybe once a week so it would make sense it’s just moisture.
Had this in my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. Thought the worst. Changed my PCV; no change. bought the Block Tester BT-500 off Amazon to confirm whether or not I had a blown head gasket. Good investment & simple tester to confirm the status. That's what I did.
Yes I experiences it on my oil cap and I dont see that milky substance in the dipstick but my coolant mysteriously decreases, where does it go?i have a 2011 Ford Fiesta
Do you see oil on the wall of the coolant canister? If not then there is no oil in your coolant meaning there is no mixing of oil and coolant in your engine. If yes, and you also see sludge on your oil cap then you probably have a blown head gasket.
I have the same issue on my honda ballade luxline S04 1998 150i manual, dipstick shows oil is black but oil cap shows milkshake colour and the car is also standing for few days and its very cold these few days
Thanks to you I’m no longer worrying the cap had moisture but the oil was clean I was about to pull the engine apart then I saw your video. I gotta thank you buddy 🎉
😂😂😂😂
VQ35DE, just clear water droplets, especially in winter, short trips too.
The moiture is not coming from the air, its a closed system, it comes from the coolant - unless you leave your oil cap off

i got the same situation on my filler oil cap but my engine oil look normal. 7k engine toyota fx. thanks for this info.

Did u ever found out what it was bro
Same on my 18 wrx 75k
Coolant leakage?

Priceless info, thank you sir!
Could a faulty PVC accelerate/worsening this freaking process?
Panic over that’s..I’d just checked my oil and it was a bit like that. Thanks for the reassurance.

I was really panicking before this video.
You and I both lol

Unusual phenomena in your area. 😂 C ya, friend.

Happened to my motorbike when i check the dip stick. Same principle i guess.
Thank u for the vid!
same, nothing really you can do but change oil more often
My rpm is jumpy and poor acceleration will the problem fix itself if it's due to water condensation?

My bmw e36 is getting water and mixes with oil and heats and turns off and it'sway worse than yours. This problem started after i drifted
Thank you sir!
second time this situation happen to me and it is not fun seeing that at all mannnnn
No, its not normal on a "new" engine, you have cylinder blowby...
Every engine has cylinder blowby.
Could be the owner accidentally put coolant in the engine tank
Yeah, only engines go in the engine tank, that's why it's called an engine tank.
Just noticed this on my tundra, Ok good I can take down the fore sale ad now
Put some highway miles on it and the condensation is gone.
@@MehdiS-music yea changed the oil and it’s fine no issues since
Good to know
Replace Pcv
