Although I think black women in particular are just resentful for the fact that they had it hard, getting a lightskin dude's attention in junior high or high school... so they've decided to flip the coin on us. Or.. it could be because of Chris Brown, Drake who THEY say are claiming to be colorists... idk man, it's a strange phenomenon.

Most light skin brothers I know is about that life because the black community(Dark skin men) forces the issue on us from a very young age. My father is light skin and is toughest guy I know having been in and out of prison through out his life. I had to fight my entire life against darker skinned men who were a lot bigger than me at the time just because I was light skin which lead up to me becoming trained in Boxing, Muay Thai, Ji Jitsu and Karate to defended myself. I just don’t get it, the overall Bias towards Light skin from BW and some Dark skin men is overwhelmingly high. I’ve had little success with Darker skin woman because they don’t want light skin kids and also perceive us as weak and dark skin as strong🤷🏾‍♂️ which is whatever to me. None the less my wife is Light skin and my daughter so I’m pretty content with my life as it is.

How to keep slavery going for centuries. pit the light skin slaves against the Dark. house slave usually were the offspring of the slave master and they purposely used that dynamic in controlling slaves. Now there is a lot of resentment on both sides. but in different ways. But also its biology because dark is more dominant so that is why the feminine is attracted more to it.

As a light skin black man, there has definitely been a switch in how we are perceived, since social media took off. A lot of it has to do with hip-hop culture in the black community back then every woman wanted drake or Chris Brown nowadays every woman wants Lil Baby or one of the Atlanta-based rappers. Hip-hop is so influential. Most of these girls following these hip-hop couples wanting to be just like them. My wife is a brown skinned black woman and I have three daughters with her. Please release the Dr Umar episode to the public, some of us unfortunately due to circumstances like me personally suffered a stroke and I'm completely dependent on my parents so releasing the episode would do me and people like me a huge favor.

As black people get older skin tone becomes less of a factor. You just want someone who's nice and will treat you right. Teenagers and people in their twenties care about skin tone. Also i think the darker skin tone preference only applies to normal bm who arent rich or famous. I bet money if Drake, Nelly, or Chris Brown hit their dms, they wouldn't turn them down because their light skin

54:49 believe it or not most people who say "tall dark and handsome" are NOT referring to skin color. Maybe in subsections of black communities, but majority of the world specifically use it figuratively. Its in regards to their persona (not personality), the way they come off when first seen. Many non-black women across the world have said that line but never meant skin color (they would say someone like Matt Damon or James Bond is tall dark and handsome). At best, they'd refer to a man in a dark suit, looking mysterious or any other "mystifying" qualities of a man. Across races, I rarely heard them refer to skin tone with that phrase when entirely serious.

It’s crazy to think that a man is a b!+[# because he’s lighter. It’s about where you’re from & who raised you. I from Philly & I grew up with plenty of light skinned fighters & a few light skinned murderers.

All I want to know is how can you have a preference of light-skin men being soft feminine and all that how is that a preference that is literally that colorism at its finest

25:56 a man on his purpose doesn’t mind correction. As long as you’re not belittling them, they appreciate when their woman is trying to keep them on their path. If a man is jealous and can’t take direction, he’s not a man worth placing your time into.
