I have a question, that front bolt Im afraid I might have rounded it, what would you suggest to remove it I have the hose and the sensor out of the way. and it is just not moving.
A few comments. By partially removing the intake manifold and not cleaning the mating surfaces or replacing the gaskets, you're asking for an intake manifold leak, as well as for debris to fall into the intake ports or onto the mating surface. You should completely remove the intake manifold, clean the mating surfaces and replace the gaskets. Also, you should prime the oil system after replacing the oil filter housing. You do that by disconnecting the injectors and the coils, removing the spark plugs and turning over the motor. I think you're supposed to do that three times or until the oil light goes off. That way, you know the engine will have oil when it starts for the first time. Finally, to BMW, after decades of producing shitty oil filter housing gaskets, maybe it's time to fire the engineering department.
I’ve been waiting for a video like this forever, no one does videos on the n55 thank you so much
Great job and explanation, doable but difficult. How many hours did it take? If I many ask...
6.38, you had me going! (thanks for posting)

Possibly try to get a smaller socket and tap it on or an extractor socket
What’s that’s sharp tool you were using
It’s just a mechanics pick. Super useful, just make sure they don’t snap 😅
Do you need to drain oil before doing this job?
Id assume so just do it while u change your oil
I just did mine and you don’t, don’t even need to raise the car with the jack like on the video, you barely loose oil and coolant

Why would they - car dealerships only make 10% off cars they sell off the parking lot. They make their money in parts in servicing.
