  • Unboxing comparison between the standard Propex HS2000 kit and their new Stealth Kit to reduce internal and external operation noise to make the system "whisper quiet".
Stealth Kit currently only available directly from Propex for ~£55 delivered here www.propexleisure.co.uk/shop/...

Whilst it appears that only Propex do a Stealth Kit for their heaters, diesel heaters are also often noisy so could utilise the same internal acoustic ducting - available separately on Propex website www.propexleisure.co.uk/shop/...

Hi, very appreciative of your video here! Can you elaborate on “whisper quiet”? If I’m parked on a city street and it’s dead quiet during the night time let’s say, can a passerby hear the heater? I haven’t checked yet but I will look to see if you have made a video that demonstrates the heater running, so I’m leaving you this question here in case you didn’t make that video, thank you!

Glad you liked it. Yep, you can find the video of it running here th-cam.com/video/5R2QAMGU_0w/w-d-xo.html
I'd say that if it was really quiet, and the exhaust was on the footpath side it may be noticed if someone was paying particular notice. But if the exhaust was on the offside, or there was two people talking, it wouldn't be noticed

@@OlyLowe hey thanks for the link and instantaneous reply! This sounds really good, even before watching your other video yet. Someone made a video of the Webasto gas/diesel heater running and even with a muffler it was still pretty loud I thought. Not to mention it costs about three times the cost of the Propex.
Overall are you happy with the HS 2000? I’m especially excited about having a thermostat! My current propane heater has a total of 3000 BTUs on the high setting and then 1500 on the low setting, but you can’t adjust the heat beyond those two settings.

@@spleerfloof yes, we're really happy with it. Kept us warm in our Nissan Interstar in the Alps last winter very well 👍

The first part of the combustion exhaust pipe (the piece included with the main heater kit), you have it turned the wrong direction in the demonstration sir. That is why the hole in the blue connection is larger. It is designed for the opposite end. You should have another blue connector included in the original box to make the exhaust to heater connection.

Apologies, yes your are correct. If you look at the kit laid out at 4mins 58 seconds, the end of the pipe at the top right connects to the heater, and the end at the top left is the exhaust which exits at the vehicle cill. You should see it correctly connected up in my later video of it installed.

Not impressed propex doesn't just include the stealth kit when they are charging over a 1000$ for this heater
