Straight up getting Luigi’s Mansion 3 vibes from this music.

Cool music, and as another person said, it reminds me of Luigi's Mansion. Also, I wanted to ask you, Grimware, about a couple of things. I have two concerns about this game. The first one being that you've said before that the orbs are going to be used to heal yourself, use charge abilities, buy checkpoints, and to buy stuff out of the shop. I'm concerned that the amount of orbs that you will be given will be too little, especially when it's being spend on so many things. I understand that you probably aren't suppose to be able to spend the orbs on all of those things but it still worries me. The second concern that I have is regarding saving. You've stated that you have to buy the checkpoints, they are not just given to you. My concern with this is that the game will only save when you buy a checkpoint or use a previously bought checkpoint. This would suck if while I'm in the middle of playing, the game crashes, and the last checkpoint was 20mins ago.

Hello, so for your first concern, what I've seen from playtesting, it has been more than enough ectoplasm to grab a checkpoint. Like I said, tough but fair. If you play well, you'll be able to afford everything. Even so, the "crystallized ectoplasm orb" that appears when you die contains half of the ectoplasm you died with. In most cases once you reach it and break it, you get 1.5x what you had when you died the last time, because you were able to pick up all the new ectoplasm on the way there. In Dark Souls, when you die, you lose your souls, but you have a chance to get them back. True you don't buy the checkpoints in Dark Souls, but I'm trying something out that I feel I want and I will get feedback when people get their hands on the demo. In old resident evil games, your saves were limited, you got an ink ribbon that is worth 3 saves. You can strategize when you want to save. If say you want to skip a checkpoint and risk not spending your ectoplasm so you can spend it on a bigger reward from the vendor in the next level. You have the choice to do so, at your own risk.
In my demo I have 7 checkpoints, each about 4-6 minutes apart depending how well you play. Would it suck if my game crashed, yes but that's a mistake on a technical level on my part if it does, not a design problem at least as far as I see it.

@@officialgrimwaregamesllc Based on what you said, both of the things you mentioned sound fine. Thanks for the reply.
