Every time I see a steam deck showcase I just think to myself that it looks so amazing and that I want the steam deck even though I already have one…
No way bro 😭
same bro
Did u buy yours in steam store ?
@@timothys.3199Thats the only way to get it new, other stores may offer second hand
Welcome to the family! I had my Deck for over a year now and absolutely love it. Hands down one of the best gaming purchases I've ever made.
Picked up the OLED Steam Deck for myself in January as a Christmas present to myself, absolutely love it! It's so versatile, and has so far been one of my best friends. Since I work from home at my desk, its nice being able to play some games away from my desk just as a change of pace, whether that's on the couch, in the bed, at a waiting room, etc. I also copied all of my games from my Switch so that I could play them on the Deck as well, and my god do the games look so nice on the Deck's screen.
Glad to hear that you're enjoying it too!
I recommend a program called "any desk" can transfer files between deck an PC no extra hardware required!
Just set up a network share on your PC and you can connect to it from the file manager in desktop mode to copy files over via wifi. No extra software needed because network file sharing is built into every modern OS (including Macs). Google "create shared folder in Windows 10/11". It takes all of 5 minutes to set up if you don't know what you're doing and follow a guide. 1 minute if you've done it before.
how is it compared to warpinator?
I tried any desk and it constantly loses connection for me, I can't even go a few minutes without it crashing and I have wifi 6E gigiabit internet (usually get around 800--900mbps). I also tried warpinator (SD) + winpinator (windows) and they constantly have trouble actually finding each other to connect.
the best solution for me has by FAR been Syncthing. it's meant to allow you to sync the folders/files between both devices (perfect for syncing save files for non-steam games) but I found a work around for transferring files as well by creating a folder dedicated for this purpose (I call mine File Transfers).
for me personally, i just have the folder set to "receive only" on my SD since i never send files to my PC but that's up to you. anyway i just drop files into the File Transfers folder on my PC, after it syncs, i move the files out to somewhere else on my steam deck, then move the files back to where they originally were on my PC (again, up to you if you want to do this). this has been SIGNIFICANTLY more reliable in sending files for me. plus the benefit of having my game save files synced across both devices is so nice
Or set up SSH and connect using filezilla, literal drag and drop
CONGRATS! Been watching you for about a year now! Glad you got a Steam Deck!
You can't jailbreak a steam deck, because valve jailbreaks it for you 😅
Excited to see more steam deck videos from your channel!
Congratulations 🎉 Welcome to the club of unlimited membership
Enjoy your steam deck OLED. I have one myself and been loving it
Enjoy your new steam deck. Im definely gonna watch more videos about the steam deck. I can't wait
More to come!
Love it! Around my birthday which is May 14, I'm definitely getting me one of these. Can't wait!
Can’t wait for mine to come!
Congrats, bro!!🎉
great vid, HBD!!!!! i'm really new to the steam deck and setting up emudeck emulators. can you make a guide setting it up for people that are begginers/clueless about how to do it? Thanks so much
Well you convinced me to get into PS vita. I definitely wanted a Steamdeck when it came it. The OLED is really making me want to scratch that itch.
Congrats glad you are enjoying it.
Go for it!
Good Job - That was really informative - I trust your recommendation and am in the market I think - So cool - Thank you!
That's why I bought the SteamDeck Oled over Ally or Legion Go.
glad you got yourself a steam deck! I hope you make some deck content now! I have the 512gb lcd model and i love it 🔥
Enjoy the purchase man, I have the LCD, and the OLED, and I love them for separate reasons. However I run my emulators without emudeck. How’s it working for you?
Looks cool! The OLED is nice!
🔥🔥🔥 got my OLED LE earlier this year… can’t wait to see more content
Got the exact same model a few weeks ago. Still learning but it's brilliant. Didn't want too many Emulators. Just mega drive and PS2. Also got a usb adapter. Mouse and keyboard. Which help a lot
Nice! I want to push it as much as I can and also make some content with each one
Congrats on getting the deck! I want to emulate as much of my Sony library as I can and obviously play steam games
You should!
You could have transfered via network, another solution is to get a dongle hub, your adapters are still limited to the single port, a small hub will be more beneficial without taking much space.
Dude! i just recently purchase this yesterday., and im happy to have it
Wish had the OLED but makes no sense to upgrade my LCD one guess will wait for Deck 2.
Same, i take ur advice
I admit I'm a bit tempted to buy one over a new gaming laptop.
Happy birthday bro
Thank you!
I have the O.G steam deck and I still live it after a year
How is the battery life and fps screen rate?
Hi. What do you think about the weight of Steam Deck? I love playing on my PS Vita Slim and I'm thinking about buying Steam Deck but the weight of this device is terrible... This is 3 times heavier than the PS Vita PCH-2xxx.
Great question! The vita is at 220 Grams and the steam deck is at 636 grams. The weight doesn't really affect me and it feels so good in your hands. The design is perfect.
Def curious about trying PS3 games. And whatever other games to emulate
what psp games did you play 4:50 ? thanks
SO many people talk about how the Steam Deck may not be able to run the latest games but I could not buy a game for the next 3 years and still have plenty of titles to play for a long time to come across my steam indie library, GoG, and the titles I own that this can emulate that I haven't finished on my old PS1, PSP, PS2, and GC alone, never mind the bunch from the 8-16 bit eras. I bought the 512gb and got the same size SD card. Save a few bucks and you can always get a 1tb SSD later for less than the price of the more expensive model, the only thing you miss out on is the anti glare glass and for that you can get a screen protector for 7 bucks.
I also think it's an overexaggeration, i've been able to play most of the latest games pretty well on my SD OLED. obviously not at the highest quality, but i'm still able to get relatively solid FPS (i cap mine at 45 fps anwyay for good enough smoothness and better battery life). I even have windows installed on a microsd to play modern warfare 3 bc it has anti-cheat software making it incompatible with steamOS. if i want to play in higher fidelity, i have my 4070 ti super desktop for that. it's really been the perfect companion for portable play and my entire PC library works now. all the other more powerful handhelds purely use windows and that's absolutely a non-starter for me
just got my OLED model yesterday
No need for the additional hardware like external drives and converters when downloading Syncthing to sync files across your Steam Deck and PC desktop would have been easier & cost free.
Is that the oled model ?
Nah bro, I bought a 500gb card from microcenter and it didn't last a week. It flat out died on me. Gotta get a SanDisk or something name brand
I wanna get a steam Deck OLED too 😅
Glad I'm not the only one that's so far behind
Mine not yet.😅
Cool dude! I had one of the special edition ones, but I also had an Asus Ally. I ended up sending the steam deck back, because the Ally is so much more versatile!
can anyone tell me what digimon game that is and what platform?
I have to disagree I don't think it's the best handheld to exist, I have the steam deck OLED Asus Rog Ally and I'll be picking up a Lenovo legion go tomorrow I think the Asus rog ally is one of the best right now and the legion go, the deck is mostly for casual gamers in my opinion that low resolution display puts me off a bit even though its a glorious OLED. Idk man its a good handheld but I prefer the more powerful ones...
Got mine yesterday and very disappointed. None of the reviews I saw made it clear how much fiddling you have to do to get games to work. Even "Deck Verified" games do not work. The Switch just works and is so easy in comparison.
Lies
Nice try Nintendo man 😂
I doubt ps3 runs great in this device
I used to have steam deck I got it in like 2022 I sold it when I got my rog ally z1 the steam deck is much weaker.
You should have bought a ROG Ally! ;(
The battery is Shit😂 and not oled
@@lilbenate66090hz and way worst specs on steam deck 😂 ally all the way.
its just a PC
Its just awesome
