Yey someone made a Bakki river and a very nice job as well. I would recommend having a way to purge it I would say the best way is to put a drain in the last tank at the lowest point so you can keep the pump on and flush out any dirt that gets stuck in the bottom of the Siporax also buy more Siporax or leave the last chamber empty. Adam
Hi Adam, thank you. I have been looking at some way of cleaning the boxes and am still working on it. I did order more Siporax this afternoon, but don't tell my missus lol. Thanks again mate. Terry.
Your new intro is looking good mate. Glad you got your pc problems sorted. Looking forward to seeing the finish bakki next time. Keep up the good work.
Hi mate, thank you, and no problem. I do have a newer version of the bakki river if your interested. Here are the 2 videos of the build and install. th-cam.com/video/Jk4enLVcYTI/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/9bWfmeqek4A/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps mate, Terry.
@@Wrighty perfect ill get watching and see what i can come up with, ive only got a small space round the back of my pond its 8ft long but only just over a foot wide so want to try to add some sort of system that i only needs very little maintenance 👍🐟👌
Hi Terry, fingers crossed you are still on the mend. I hope you don’t mind me asking, is the weir critical or would it be possible to simply place the last exit pipe higher up the end box to determine the final level going through the Siporax? I haven’t any plastic welding gear as yet and will add a weir if necessary, Homebase have stopped selling the boxes too, so I have ended up using some of their larger boxes and more Siporax so hopefully will still end up OK and I get the throughflow I need. Kind Regards, Richard
Hi Richard, I'm very well thank you mate. Pretty much back to normal. I welded my weir with a soldering iron and used cable ties for welding rods. As long as there all the same plastic it will work. I didn't have plastic welding equipment at the time. You could make the outlet higher, just make sure the siporax can't get into the outlet. Take care mate, Terry.
Siporax hey, have you been watching Adam Julyan's video's Wrighty hehe. I have siporax in my bakki shower, expensive but good and like you when I ordered mine and it turned up and I thought 'Oh is that it' lol. Bring back the old music, the misses is still saying it was the best.
I've suffered with nitrate in the pond all this season and it's driven me crazy, so I'm going for it with the river. I had 25 ltr for a start and have just had to order another 20 ltr. Those bloody boxes are bigger than they look lol. Tell the wife I'll do my best 😉 Thanks mate, Terry

Any idea when I'm half way through mine
I'm hoping to have it done this next week. Getting a new pump so waiting for that. Everything else is just about ready. Terry.
Brill can't wait
bakki river better then bakki shower ? is because all the biome is submerge ?
Hi Joseph, A bakki rive is more for nitrates as it produces the anoxic (anaerobic) bacteria. Terry.
👍
Very well done! Thanks for sharing. You may enjoy my koi unboxing video featuring a discussion of butterfly koi origination. New subscriber.
