I had the same with my 2007 Eos, did the same a few years ago and never leaked again. If you maintain the rubbers with the right stuff and as mentioned in the cars manual, the car stays leak free / carwash leak free, just perfect. Im only afraid for the hydraulic pomp, its a common problemen that you can get water in the trunk, gathering at the place where the hydraulic pump is mounted. Till now its OK, but i check it regularly and park the car indoors if not in use. I have the car for 14 years now, no but issues, just normal maintenance.

Love these videos, I had a bad leak in the rear window frame latch probably since it was not fully latched for a long time since the roof failed to fully close. Recently only leak is a small seeping at the front A-pillars. When I have time I’m going to seal the couplings for the drain tubes.

While you have it apart you should also blow through the drain hose. You will most likely find it is blocked. Mine was....

Came for the leak, and thank you for the guide! BUT, I noticed that your temperature was a little low both before and after you came home. It may be coincidence, but it looks like you have a thermostat stuck open. As do I, have you changed your thermostat? It looks like an advanced DIY for a simple €40 part ...

The Volkswagen TSB on the drain leak is to seal up the coupler, not replace the tube. So your more or less doing what the dealer would do to correct the leak.

Oh interesting, didn't expect that :)

Looking at the tube ends, Im no scientist, but that's a design flaw, why would they have the tube on the inside of the end part? Because of gravity and how the water runs down, the hose should be on the outside, this would prevent any leaks. Hope you understand what Im trying to explain

Who designed that drain tube coupler? it should have been inserted into the drain tube not surrounded it.

Hello! Might you tell me the type of sealant you used? Thank you

I listened again and you said silicone it up!

Yes, i used silicone like you'd use in a bathroom application to seal the drains l. So far it's still working :)

Hi do you know how to fix the roof on my eos that won't work because of the motor in the trunk that I thought wasn't working, but when we checked it it shows signs of life but doesn't want to close the trunk all the way and the car doesn't know that the trunk is closed or open the fuses are fine everything is roughly inspected basic do you know what it could be. In the trunk, the lights also do not recognize whether the trunk is open or not, and now I use the trunk as in the most common golf 5, because the soft closing will not work, and therefore the roof does not know whether the trunk is open or closed

There is some manual closing to push it to the end but do it carefully without damaging anything.

The trunk pulldown motor needs to work, if it doesn't, the roof won't operate. It's separate from the trunk lock, which is what I replaced on mine. Both of these need to work properly.
