ABS module issue

I am just about to replace my EGR in my B6 Passat 2.0 FSI... it broke 2 teeth from the EGR valve's 90 degree cogwheel.... in VCDS there is a calibration program what helps the ECU to learn the end positions. I guess that small 8 pin IC you showed in the cover of the cogwheel house of your EGR should be a magnetometer so that reads the angle of the EGR valve for the ECU , what should be calibrated... and your original ECU contains a potentiometer what is turned by the rod of the valve. I think that is much better solution, as there is no glitch/noice in the signal of a potentiometer...like a magnetometer may have

I had the same with my 2007 Eos, did the same a few years ago and never leaked again. If you maintain the rubbers with the right stuff and as mentioned in the cars manual, the car stays leak free / carwash leak free, just perfect. Im only afraid for the hydraulic pomp, its a common problemen that you can get water in the trunk, gathering at the place where the hydraulic pump is mounted. Till now its OK, but i check it regularly and park the car indoors if not in use. I have the car for 14 years now, no but issues, just normal maintenance.

Hello, I am delighted to watch your videos about the VW Eos. I have a 2007 Eos, and when I want to open the entire roof, I have the following problem: if I press the large button to open the whole roof, all the windows go down first, but the left rear window stops halfway down and the roof cannot continue opening. However, the left rear window goes up and down perfectly with the buttons on the driver's door. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? NOTE: If I lower the window with the door button and then operate the roof, everything works perfectly. Thanks and regards.

I have a 2012 with similar window issues. I removed the BCM (located below the fuse panel near your left knee when in the drivers seat). I removed the plastic case to see the pcb in the module and found it was filthy corroded. I've replaced it with a BCM from a Tiguan since they are readily available for cheap ($60-$75) on eBay. The windows work better than ever now. Unfortunately, the tpms doesn't work anymore. The BCM part number is not the same was the originalone from my Eos, which I believe is the cause of the tpms not working. I can live with no tpms, hopefully this window fix lasts.

My Eos never does this, instead I get water on the driver's footwell and behind the driver's seat (UK rh drive). Also in the boot (trunk). I removed the foam box around the roof motor and instead made a bed of bubble wrap, as the original box was like a fully-soaked sponge.

You don´t need despresurice the fuel pump for change egr right?

it has on, or when the door opened or off modes. test voltage when door opened. the switch might not make a contact.

Hi do you know how to fix the roof on my eos that won't work because of the motor in the trunk that I thought wasn't working, but when we checked it it shows signs of life but doesn't want to close the trunk all the way and the car doesn't know that the trunk is closed or open the fuses are fine everything is roughly inspected basic do you know what it could be. In the trunk, the lights also do not recognize whether the trunk is open or not, and now I use the trunk as in the most common golf 5, because the soft closing will not work, and therefore the roof does not know whether the trunk is open or closed

Any updates on the EOS? Did you ever fix the EGR Valve?

That looked decent if they really are that overpriced, I'll be bold and say that my V8 Disco 2 was way better value though. If you ignore the whole reliability thing. 182hp V8, active hydraulic anti-roll, twin sunroofs that don't impede on headroom, etc. Also I wasn't expecting the Team Dizastava shirt to make an appearance, nice.

Not much point spraying the throttle body to clean the EGR. It is located at the back of the engine and that spray won't travel up the pipe to the EGR in sufficient quantity to do anything. Quicker to remove thd EGR and clean directly. 18 mm bolt and 2 spline bolts. Then 4 bolts to undo the pipes (renew gaskets).

Take the EGR off and clean the soot off the valve assembly. If not, you will probably need to replace it. My EGR failed at about 60,000 miles. While you're at it do the same to the throttle body. It's not an EOS thing - all direct injection engines suffer from coking up.

While you have it apart you should also blow through the drain hose. You will most likely find it is blocked. Mine was....

Watching this I was thinking you could do with one of those cameras you attach to your phone. Like a long flexible camera to get in small gaps. Some have lights and side camera on the end. Might be handy for future projects
