We follow and watch him for the entertainment aspect, however it's difficult to watch him lose $45,000 in one sitting but then think of day traders that lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in seconds with a click of a mouse. He's a good dude and we can hope he regroups, clears his head and recoups from this and goes on to win a WPT bracelet.

Hey Brad, I’m nobody but I hope you read this. On another table with the same exact plays, this could have been a huge win, so don’t get too down about it. A couple things I think could be constructive. If you have to fold, don’t worry too much what they have or didn’t have. Sure, take a mental note if they’re bluffing, but if they got one over on ya, well good for them. What I’m saying is it’s expensive to find out for sure. Also, VERY early we could see these guys were playing loose. A lot of the time you get paid off for aggression.. not here. If they’re playing looser than a whorehouse in Bangkok on New Year’s Eve, tighten up that play. Make sure you have the stone cold nuts then make them pay. The cards just aren’t coming your way this time, I know that. Also, change up that play of trying to extract value. You know how they can’t hit sick rivers and turns against you? By making them fold on the flop or turn! If you think you have the best hand at that moment, go near pot size or over pot size sometimes and force the fold. Now they can’t get there. Statistically you should be ahead then if they do call. Anyway, those were my gut reactions watching. Take it or leave it. You got serious balls and I hope TH-cam pays you something and get ‘em next time!

It's tough to watch, but that is life of a pro. There will be tough times, there will be good times. Just try to minimize losses in tough times, I think there were several spots where Brad raised / called with very weak holdings, justifying it with the looseness of the table. And when he did get the bluff through, it was because opponent had nothing but gutshot. But there was bad luck as well like full house losing to runner runner better one...

I love hearing the word pro getting used loosely. There’s down swings and there’s just players that shouldn’t gamble and this is a great example of horrible financial management.

This is why bankroll management is so important, especially when you don't have other sources of income. You simply have to be in a position where you can have these 20-30 buy-in downswings that don't effect your life. Even more important than bankroll management is your psychological management. Poker is a game where you can't force wins, and the more you try to "climb out of the hole" (like you see Brad doing here) the more mistakes you make and the more it will cost you. The final really important factor is table selection. Play at tables you know you can win at and stay away (as much as possible) from competent players and tables full of them.

Brad thanks for taking time to say hi real quick at the Bellagio! I sat down looking at Bobby’s room wondering if I’d see any poker pros today. I couldn’t have been more ecstatic to see you walk in 20 mins later.
I found your poker vlog this past year, and I’ll admit I was total fan girling when I saw you.

I understand the feeling when the cards don't fall your way over several sessions. You should find comfort you are making the right decisions based on the information you have. In the long run that will put you up, or at least that is what I tell myself. I hit the like button like a 30-cent slot machine, I hope it helps. Whether 1-2 of 100-200, your information is valuable! You really do an amazing job of telling us how and why you do what you do or how you like to play. I like how you give names to other players and make friends. I really love the videos because it shows that a good player can get beat bad and this can really help people see that being a good play can still lose. . This video was disgusting to me. You are a much better player than this, Brad. The "best player" in a large city is at the table, and you decide to continually re-up during a down swing? You're a really good player also, but that wasn't shown here. I sense something is bothering you personally. I hope you get back to basics and get away from this punt-it-off mentality. I'm glad you have other revenue streams and am pulling for your return to the rise, but this was brutal to watch.

Spot on. Drinking in poker is always a bad idea, drinking at the club you partially own - really bad idea. Re-buying several times during a bad downswing against a player that is very sharp cannot end well. Limit the losses.

I feel for you, bro'. Knowing how to process loss is probably as important as winning for a pro, a skill I lack. Thanks for being open and honest with us. I really value hearing your thought processes on each play, although half the time it's too fast and/or subtle for me to follow. I myself never thought things through in that depth when I was a player; relying more on my instincts and really tight play to win. One day I realized how much I hate losing and gave it up.
