  • Bluetooth, baby!! This awesome little device adds Bluetooth connectivity to my processor - allowing me to connect to ANYTHING Bluetooth for true hands-free calls, multimedia streaming, and more! All without an extra intermediary device and without the need to upgrade my processor to get this functionality. Thank you, AB!!

    Hi, It's really an interesting video where you have demonstrate / elaborate more in detail about this little device. The ComPilot is quite interesting to connect with Bluetooth but it need carry around neck and at same time it has limitation in range. And I feel this little device can support in range difficulties and carrying always neck... But I have a question to you did this small device could consume battery levels. Because every upgrades will comes with some bottlenecks

      Thank you for your comment! The Naida CI Connect does have a slight increase in power consumption but it is very negligible. It does depend on how much you stream with it, but I would estimate even with several hours of streaming that it might only reduce the battery life by less than an hour.

    You make really great videos and they are so helpful to people. I use the Phonak Q50 hearing aids and also have the Phonak Com-Pilot. Thank you for doing what you do.

    Hello! New subscriber to your channel. My husband has bilateral implants since 2007. He currently has Q70. We constantly have to replace batteries, t mic and cables yearly. But its worth it to him. We are upgrading to Q90 this week. Its very expensive but glad insurance is paying half.

    If you could only have one accessory would you pick the connect or roger pen? We are upgrading my son’s Harmony soon and for now we can only go with one accessory. Thx! Love that I found your videos!!

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question! It's my understanding that the CI Connect is included in all new implants and upgrade kits and is not considered an accessory. When it comes to Roger, I would choose the Roger Select over the Roger Pen. For accessories in general, it really depends on what you need/want. I don't really need a remote microphone, but I stream all the time so the Connect is my newest favorite. I also love my AquaCase for swimming. But for anyone who struggles in noise, Roger is amazing! So it really depends on each person. Thanks for watching!!

    Can I have the CI Connect connected via Bluetooth to both my iphone and my iPad at the same time so it will be available for either or does one Bluetooth connection cancel out the other?

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can only hold one pairing at a time so you must disconnect from the one to connect to the other.

    Wow this literally my dream since I got my Q90 CI in 2016, I have a checkup next week so I will absolutely ask about this amazing gadget!! Do you just need a special battery where you can hook up to?

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Laura! Thanks for the question! You need the standard 170 battery so if you have the Roger receiver, it works on the same battery.

    So I have a deaf ear and a moderately deaf ear. Do these work for severe hearing loss? I was told by my audiologist about 5 years ago my only option is a BAHA.

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Autie! Thanks for your question. This CI Connect uses Advanced Bionics' cochlear implant system. Cochlear implants are beneficial for those with severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss. It really depends on what type of hearing loss you have - a BAHA is typically used to treat conductive hearing loss. I would encourage you to find a cochlear implant center near you and schedule a cochlear implant evaluation. Only then would they be able to determine if a CI is right for you. Wishing you all the best on your hearing journey and thanks for watching!

    Hi, do you have any idea if it is compatible with a Q70? I have a 170 batterie as well, but at the moment I'm using the compilot which came in the bundle, I don't like it, it's so slow to configure and always has a delay between the video and the sound, like half of a second, have you notice something like that with your CI Connect?

    • @ibraam2175
      @ibraam2175 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you in advance, hope you can see my message :).

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the CI Connect is only compatible with the Q90 processor. If you are noticing a latency issue with your ComPilot, try re-pairing with the device and see if that helps fix the issue. I would notice that occasionally with my ComPilot but usually pausing the video and resuming or turning off bluetooth and restarting would fix it. Perhaps you have other devices you could try it with. Latency issues can occur with any bluetooth connection. If it is too noticeable, you can also plug your device directly in to your ComPilot using an auxiliary patch cable. That should eliminate any latency. Thanks for watching!!

      @@2EarsAreBetterThan1 thanks :( I also have an other question, you said you are not eligible for an upgrade for the next two years, but, do you know anything about "the" successor of the Q90? :) I'm not much into this sorry.

      @@2EarsAreBetterThan1 Do you have CI Connect for both processors? I just upgraded to Q90s and can't get BOTH CI Connects to work at the same time for streaming from phone. TV Connect will go to both but not Bluetooth phone. Thanks

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      James Reynolds I do have 2 Connects, but when using Bluetooth, it can only stream to one CI Connect at a time - which is a Bluetooth limitation. When I want to stream to both ears, I use the TV Connector and plug that in to whatever I want to stream (like my tablet or computer, or TV). I have been told that newer Samsung phones have the ability to stream to 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

    Are you bimodal or have two processors? If you are bimodal are you using anything for your unimplanted ear? If one has two processors does one CI Connect work with both processors or do you need a separate CI Connect for each of your processors? Or do your two processors "talk" to each other and share the same signal from the CI Connect? Thanks -- your enthusiasm is contagious!! Great video! Thanks ahead for your answer!

    • @timbookout6075
      @timbookout6075 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same question, as I have two processors. I believe this only streams Mono to one processor, based on FAQ answer talking about needing two CI connects. "Naída CI Connect may support the Dual Audio option that is available in some Bluetooth-enabled devices (e.g., certain Samsung Galaxy models). This option may enable bilateral streaming to two Naída CI Connect devices" advancedbionics.com/global/en/home/solutions/naida-ci-connect/naida-ci-connect-support.html
