    Great video tha yiu for taking the mystery bout of the roger on. I still am learning between this or the little table roger or the cheaper roger partner mic. I really need it only for loud times like restaurants, but this device looks very versatile.

      I'm glad you found the video helpful. When it comes to versatility - the Roger On definitely can't be beat... I think you would find it useful in a lot of other situations that you may not have thought about. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the video. Great explanation of what you can do with the Roger On. It was not clear to me though if this accessory will work with my Phonak's right out of the box or if my aids would need a software upgrade? I've has my Phonaks for about 3 years and find the way they market their accessories a bit confusing. How does this device compare to the partner mic? That worked right out of the box. I know it's not going to happen but Phonak should sell all their aids ready to be used with accessories.

      Thanks for the comment, Butch! If you have either the Marvel or Paradise line of hearing aids, once you install the receivers (see my other video) you should be good to go. It is possible that additional programming might be needed if default settings were disabled, but normally you should be able to start using it right away.

    Thank you Rachel for a great demo of the Roger On, I just got one with the Phonak Lumity HA a week ago and your explanation really helped. I have one question, can you use this device during a Zoom or Microsoft Teams meeting instead of the computer microphone and speaker ? Thanks for sharing !

    Your video is amazing! I do have a question though! I recently got my loaner Roger ON IN yesterday from my audiology clinic and so far I love it and it’s amazing! My question is that yesterday my mom had the Roger ON IN with the thing that clips to the back of the microphone and she was in her bathroom and I was in the family room and she was trying to say something to me through the microphone and I was trying to pick up the sound of her voice, but the microphone and my phone with the AB Remote app and my RogerONMic kept disconnecting from each other and kept shifting back to the main program that is set on my AB Remote app! Do I have to set the app on extended distance on myRogerONMic app in order to pick up my mom’s voice when she’s in the other room? I wanted to try the extended distance but my audiologist told me that it can cause the battery to drain faster and I’m worry about the battery draining faster. Also, I go church every weekend and my family and I always sit way in the back from the priest. Should I use the extended distance for when I’m at church? I look forward to seeing your feedback!

      Yes, distance can cause the connection to drop, but also physical objects like walls can make the range of use shorter. It is much more difficult for the signal to pass through walls and objects. You can certainly try the app with the range extender to see if that boosts the signal enough to help keep the connection. It will impact the battery life a bit, but if you aren't planning on using it constantly, you should be ok. Just keep in mind that if someone is speaking to you from another room, while you may hear them, they may not hear you! :)

    Have you ever heard from people using it to provide simultaneous interpretation for events and conferences in large rooms with multiple speakers? Thank you

    I would like to buy the Roger On iN (version 2) for my AB M90 CI. I asked a Phonak audiologist, and she told me I needed to buy two additional products to be able to connect the Roger On iN to my CI, but I dont think I have to do so.

    Can you mute and unmute the mic like other roger mics? I currently have the roger touchscreen mic

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, a long press on the Roger On button will mute the mic or you can also use the Roger On remote app to control it from your smartphone.

    Your videos are so helpful! I’m curious, when you ride horses, where do you place the roger on in the ring to hear your instructor? I’m interested in riding again myself. Thanks! Dena

      My instructor just clips it on her shirt. I hope you do get back into riding. I absolutely love it. Thanks for watching!

    I have a PartnerMic, which really does not work for me in a noisy restaurant, even with just two people at the table. How does the On work in that situation? Is it any better?

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Roger On is far superior than the PartnerMic because the Roger On actually helps to improve the signal to noise ratio (SNR) before sending the signal to your hearing devices (which also help improve SNR). It also has more features than the PartnerMic. It may still not be perfect, but I do find that Roger On is far superior to the PartnerMic. Thanks for watching!

      @@2EarsAreBetterThan1 With the Partner Mic when you iincrease the partner volume it automatically decreases the environmental volume, which means I cannot hear the TV and my wife with equal volume. Does this problem also exist with the ON mic?

    Is this useful for SSD like a Bicros?

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Using a remote microphone is beneficial for any type of hearing loss especially when trying to overcome distance or background noise. I would encourage you to talk to your hearing aid specialist or audiologist and see if they can allow you to demo the equipment in their office. Thanks for watching!

    You said you can boost the signal. How

    • @2EarsAreBetterThan1
      @2EarsAreBetterThan1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to pair the Roger On with the app and in the app under Roger On settings you'll see the option for MultiBeam 2.0 and Range Extender - toggle on the Range extender to essentially double the range (boosts the signal). Do note that this will decrease battery life by a couple of hours.
