How-to: Using Advanced Bionics Marvel CI Retention options

How to use the M Snuggie and the M Retention Cuff with Advanced Bionics' (AB's) new Marvel CI M90 and Sky CI M to live an active lifestyle and keep your processors secured. Please note: in this video I position the snuggie band on the side of the processor - some prefer to run it along the base of the processor where it sits on the ear. I find having the band on the side towards my head more comfortable.

we need thin bluetooth products also adress better signal quality so that kids perform better spech and a fitting hook that can go around ear. also the material should be light and sealed good

We're about to get the Marvels for our 5yo. Which one of the retention methods do you think is more suitable for a child? It seems to me the snuggie sits a bit more secure? (paranoid parent thinking of all the running, jumping, cycling, skiing.... 🙈)

My personal favorite is the Snuggie - especially since it can be cut to size. I just feel it is more secure. The beauty is, you can get them all with the kit and try them all out to see what works best. Happy hearing and thanks so much for watching!!

I have just put on the snuggle, what do I do at night, can all but the battery go in the dryer??? Trying to find a way to keep processors close to my head.

Hi Bev! Yes, you can put everything in the dryer - even the battery (although you will still need to let it charge at some point). Hope you're enjoying the Marvels!

The retention cuff does make it challenging to get the battery off, but you should be able to do so without removing the retention cuff.

They can definitely help - I personally like the Snuggie for horse riding as it keeps my processor from falling off. You may need to experiment to find something that works well for you and your sport(s) of choice.

...In other gadgets (Not for snuggie) @jim I also have the Off-Ear setup. , For retention on that setup, I use with a CI-Wear shirt with an 18" cable.
