I remember when Sea of Thieves was first announced and I thought that It was the best game in the world and I was super stoked for it to come out, I had pre ordered it and everything. When it came out I loved it for a few days/weeks but quickly became bored with the lackluster content. I am sad to say that I have missed practically every DLC since then as I haven't played much. I am now playing again and unlocking now cosmetics but I now see all I have missed and am ashmed that I dropped a game I was so excited for without blinking an eye. I will of course now keep playing striving for Pirate Legend and have a great time with it. If you have read till here I thank you for listening to my short SOT story and have a lovely day.

They really do...one reason I stopped playing was because I bought half the inventory and got scared I’d run out of things to buy. I mean...it sounds like a paradox but still. They need at least a few prestiege clothing for people who play a ton. Even more than pirate legend.
Well honestly the last week I've been off work so I have been pouring hours in trying to finally get to pirate legend. But when I'm working I generally get around 2ish hours a day and I can really only game every couple days or so because I have alot of pets and a girlfriend that likes to go do stuff, unless I have alot of time off like now (in between jobs) I just wish their were ways to get them even if they did require a tremendous amount of gold or even dubloons

Nice showcase! The only ones I don't have from the DLC cosmetics are the bone crusher set, even though I finished 2/3 fleets, one was always at a time I couldnt get done.
You forgot to mention the four figure heads they removed from the store, but could still own if you bought them before removal. The Ruffian Sea Dog Figurehead, the Grand Admiral Figurehead, Castaway Bilge Rat Figurehead and the Scurvy Bilge Rat Figure Head. They did the same for those sets swords. It's also why the Imperial Soverign Set doesn't have a figurehead because they made the decision to remove figureheads before the set came out. They were removed because some people were complaining they looked to similar to other sets, which was true, but a stupid response to that criticism.
I want them all. Don't know how I missed the first cursed sails one. I thought I had done everything. Might get signed up for insiders too. I like the silver blade set alot. Nice video cap'n.
I'm so mad at myself for not getting the Wailing Barnacle set. I first started playing Sea of Thieves near the end of the Shrouded Spoils update, and at the time, I had no idea time-limited gear was a thing. I stopped playing for a few days only to find out that the update had ended and I could no longer get the sweet loot. fml
@@kurokiniro I got the game at that patch and didn't wanna spend my hard earned dabloons on a set that didn't look totally badass. Now that I don't have it, and have 800+ spare dabloons (and bought every dabloon cosmetic since), i think it looks way cooler than i did back then, and regret my decision EVERY time i see the ship. All I got from the wailing Barnacle set was the sails and my friend got the capstan. I am so bummed I didn't try hard and get more dubloons for the Hull at the VERY least.
They better start giving these unobtainable ones out through weekly challenges or something. It's kind of annoying that we can't even get these anymore, even if you have tons of hours put into the game.
The 3 extra sails for the cursed crew event were not obtainable via protecting different areas. Instead, there was this mini tall tale about wonda, and upon completion you would speak to different shiprites from different seas and get the sails
I have all but the items after spinal. I have done all the mercenary duke commendations as well, except that non existant shrouded ghost. Great shot on that keg in the intro!
I had one day before the new skeleton fleets came out and I had to beat two skeleton fleets back to back only to find out the bone crusher ship stuff wasn't going to leave till the end of the event
To those that have the rare ashen gear that was shown in this video you can finish the set by going to Duke and searching his archives you will be able to to get the helm,capstan,and cannons of the forsaken ashes set
I feel that when they release an update there should be a whole ship everyone can buy now or further down the line, along with a single item that is time limited and exclusive to the event, such as the Shark Hunter ship and The Hungering One figurehead. Not everyone misses out, but those who are early get something VERY nice.
There were up to four Banana Sails up for grabs for the Banana Quest Competition, BUT the winning french Team only consisted of two members, therefore only two sets were handed out.

I kinda wish ship cosmetics changed more of the hull. Couldn’t we have new hull types, like slightly different positioning of the captan and rigging? Or maybe add some extra depth to the hulls themselves, like actually layering them with bones for the bone crusher, or shells for the ocean crawler? Something to make the ship look more unique and interesting rather than just a painted hull. The captan, wheel, and cannons all get stuff like that, would it be so hard to do it for the hulls too?
when your so OG you started 10 days after the game got released (march 30th) game came out the 20th and i remember when literally nobody was good at all. Good ol' sea of thieves times. I really miss those nice days when legit when everyone did quests, and were to scared to fight with others... Love you OG sea of thieves and will forever miss you.
Rare has given us so many beautiful ship cosmetics throughout the game's existence. The Forsaken Shores set looks so good! Nothing says dangerous like a dragon on you bowsprit. 🐉🔥 I'm still a bit salty that I didn't get on the Shrouded Spoils campaign as much as I should've to round out the Barnacle livery, but am glad I made PL in order to achieve the Golden Legendary set. - Zack Attack
I have the wailing barnacle hull. Never knew it was rare, I just use it because it gets me nostalgic for me running around solo slooping with it before I referred my friends to the game.
You can still get the bone crusher cannons, wheel and capstan at shipwrights once you complete certain commendations for sinking skeleton ships. But yeah, you can't get the sails, figurehead or hull anymore. This makes me wish I played the game since launch. I didn't start playing until the first Mercenary voyages.
The fact that you cannot aquire the stuff from earlier events anymore is not as heartbreaking as the fact you were there since the launch of the gams the whole time and were too lazy to complete the quests
I finished the Cursed Sails thing. I got all 3 sails from all 3 areas. I can remember that when I played, I did had an option to buy the full ship (with the kraken skull). Now I did not buy it, but I did clear the DLC. Does that mean I can still obtain the ship somehow, or am I now royally fucked?
I have the hungering deep figurehead I got all the cursed sails defender sails and the cannons but missed the rest (I was poor) I missed the ashen set ;( I got the wailing barnacle wheel and cannons (but again was too poor for the rest) I have the ship and flag for the Morningstar I have the spinal figurehead via mixer (None of the special rare ones)
Its so difficult for me when i think about cosmetic because some of my favorite games including sea of thieves which is my FAVORITE game, are based on getting cosmetic and accommodations. I never knew about this game until much later and I was level 40 in all my factions when the anniversary updated pirate legend set came out. There is not alot of cosmetics I like and all the ones I would have used to this day are unavailable now :( it really sucks that Ill never be able to get some of these items I would do anything for. If I knew about sea of thieves before it launched i would have definitely ore ordered and made sure to get every single item released. I. am. very. sad. (and salty)
I'm just recently getting into the game myself, and after seeing the legend and ashen set I actually felt mildy heartbroken. I hope there is a chance to get these later one because I would be willing to put time in haha
I once had all those cosmetics you could aquire through the Limited Time Events, but then something weird happened and I had to start a whole new account. The only items I have that were limited time are the Halo cosmetics. Out of all the ones that were limited time though, my favourite set (guns, clothing, and ones for the ship) is the Wailing Barnacle cosmetics because those ones made you look like Davy Jones on The Flying Dutchman.
I hope the pirate empori... store. is kind of of like the (as much as I hate to say it) fortnite store and it swaps the things duke was selling per day.
Gotta say, with the updates coming out the game is getting better and better, but its biggest flaw since release and so far is the absolute fuckton of cosmetics that are locked away from you if you weren't around at a specific time or were unable to complete a certain amount of quests. Personally, while i understand WHY thats a thing (it makes the cosmetics you gained feel special) i really don't think it should be a thing. With a game like sea of thieves that literally survives off of cosmetics because theres no progression in the game its a genuinely bad move to lock SO many away from players
I'm almost certain you can get the bone crusher cannons as I don't think I was playing in cursed sails event but I got the cannons by doing the scourage of the skeleton ship commendation then buying them

Sea of thieves always gets me say because I had a close friend and we would play this game everyday and we would say that we would become pirate legend before the end of summer. But as summer went on we strayed away and stopped being so close and whenever I load into sea of thieves my rank is the same as it was when we played every day
What about the mercenary voyage ship cosmetics? Weren’t there more sets of the reaper cosmetics before the shipwreck bay runs? (I only started playing in April so I don’t know much about availability of cosmetics, ship or otherwise, from before that). Also, the bone crusher capstan, wheel, and canons are (or were anyway) available as of a month or so ago as I was able to get them.
I´ve been playing since launch and been on every release, also Pirate Legend Athena 10 and I´ve bought every cosmetic (bye bye gold)....And I would say that after like 6 months since a time restricted cosmetic was release, make it so anyone can buy it but maybe for a little more gold (200k piece maybe). Beacuse some pepole really wanna have that hull or maybe that sail and I think that they should have the oppurtunity to get it after some time. And I´m talking only about the things you can buy from Duke now, not the Banana sails or things you get from watching live streams and so on. But the once done with the commendations, well pepole have more or less joy of playing some times and forcing pepole is not a good way of doing it, but have 30 min of live stream in the background is not hard to do really. But that´s my thought about :)

Nice video but you forgot the figureheads that they removed. And the huntress figurehead, the spartan set, the obsidian set for the ship, the golden sailer cannons and the bilge rat cosmetics buyable with doubloons that you cant get anymore.

I just use the Banjo Kazooie figurehead when I run Imperial Sovereign. It goes pretty well.

Silver Blades livery is my fav. Only have to spend one hour each week to get credit towards the prize, but it takes 15 weeks

Gotta say, with the updates coming out the game is getting better and better, but its biggest flaw since release and so far is the absolute fuckton of cosmetics that are locked away from you if you weren't around at a specific time or were unable to complete a certain amount of quests.
Personally, while i understand WHY thats a thing (it makes the cosmetics you gained feel special) i really don't think it should be a thing. With a game like sea of thieves that literally survives off of cosmetics because theres no progression in the game its a genuinely bad move to lock SO many away from players
I'm almost certain you can get the bone crusher cannons as I don't think I was playing in cursed sails event but I got the cannons by doing the scourage of the skeleton ship commendation then buying them

Sea of thieves always gets me say because I had a close friend and we would play this game everyday and we would say that we would become pirate legend before the end of summer.
But as summer went on we strayed away and stopped being so close and whenever I load into sea of thieves my rank is the same as it was when we played every day

What about the mercenary voyage ship cosmetics? Weren’t there more sets of the reaper cosmetics before the shipwreck bay runs? (I only started playing in April so I don’t know much about availability of cosmetics, ship or otherwise, from before that). Also, the bone crusher capstan, wheel, and canons are (or were anyway) available as of a month or so ago as I was able to get them.
I´ve been playing since launch and been on every release, also Pirate Legend Athena 10 and I´ve bought every cosmetic (bye bye gold)....And I would say that after like 6 months since a time restricted cosmetic was release, make it so anyone can buy it but maybe for a little more gold (200k piece maybe). Beacuse some pepole really wanna have that hull or maybe that sail and I think that they should have the oppurtunity to get it after some time.
And I´m talking only about the things you can buy from Duke now, not the Banana sails or things you get from watching live streams and so on.
But the once done with the commendations, well pepole have more or less joy of playing some times and forcing pepole is not a good way of doing it, but have 30 min of live stream in the background is not hard to do really.
But that´s my thought about :)

Yeah that could work also, that you need to pay with real money for the stream or log in a specific time.

Nice video but you forgot the figureheads that they removed. And the huntress figurehead, the spartan set, the obsidian set for the ship, the golden sailer cannons and the bilge rat cosmetics buyable with doubloons that you cant get anymore.
