The Koran diminishes Jesus? Only in as much as Muslims don't believe Jesus was the Son of God and that he wasn't resurrected iirc Otherwise Jesus is favourably acknowledged in the Koran. If I've missed something I'd be grateful if someone would point out where EDIT: I'm no scholar of religion. But I have, for about a third of my 63 years of existence, been interested in comparative mythology and have a basic grasp of the major world religions. What I was expressing in my OP was a surprise at Matt potentially being wrong. As I have already stated, the manner and tone was such that he could have been understood to be saying that Muslims have little regard for Jesus. Which is incorrect. I was asking, rhetorically, if there was something in the Koran of which I was unaware that Jesus is described in a derogatory manner. Because AFAIK there isn't I'll give Matt the benefit of doubt and assume that he was referring to the lesser role ascribed to Jesus in the Koran. The request to be informed of anything I have missed in the Koran, was not a call to be repeatedly told what I already know.

@Dewyu Nohmi I like your style
@Dewyu Nohmi It's five o'clock somewhere (on the East coast, I think). Cheers!
he is laughing in the background, because he does not understand what's going on. especially in Africa, people know very little about the bible and fully trust their pastor about what is written. their pastor is not gonna tell them about the slavery-thing.
Some pastors in Africa still condone the death of homosexuals because of the AIDS issue.
I actually believe that Existence itself means there is More, but beyond that I have nothing but conjecture. I think the fact we exist says that existence rather than non-existence means something more is going on.
And I believe there is a soul put in every new baby, and if two parents got drunk and happened to have sex and produce a child who was an accident, then that baby does not get a soul and will live an unfulfilled life, wandering the earth aimlessly.
See? We can believe whatever we want.
If there's more, we simply try to find out what that 'more' is using tested and trusted methods instead of making up answers that is simply a product of our perceptions which has nothing to do with reality.
@@afroking2935 Oh I think we are intimately involved in "reality." Without us, is would not be.
@@nevyn_karres With or without us, the universe would still be, doing its thing. By being involved in that "reality", we can only alter it by accepting it as it is first.
|Why do these christians dodge when direct quotes from the bible are brought up regarding slavery?
Im tempted to save Emeka is dumb but i remember i was once like him until 2016.
Religion destroys the brain 🧠
This is the problem with having in-depth, complex, difficult discussions between people where there is no “primary” language. I’ve don’t this before (countless times) and they just go in circles. Also, you can tell that Matt is having a discussion with someone that has no better than a 6th grade education. When THIS happens, you have to bring the level of the discussion down to “There is no Santa Clause/God.” and why. Slow. Simple. Deliberate. Easy to understand. If Matt breaks out logical fallacies, the conversation is over.
Made me think... What the hell do I believe?

If your comment includes the name of the host on the left, it will be auto deleted. AXP has banned her name.
Why was that?
We'll find out in a day or so, because I just mentioned her name. On the contrary, if they've banned her, why put so many old episodes with her in them?
@@MontyVierra I believe you're correct. No post remains that mention her by name. Let's try again.
@@HUNTSMARTFASTHARD I don't think anyone here is going to reply. I've now mentioned her name in four places and in an email to AXP. Moreover, they mention her name on the introduction line. Will AXP be auto-deleted? Finally, Matt says her name. Will he be auto-deleted? This should be fun for skeptics and people who think positive claims require evidence.

"Made to believe, supposed to believe" Religion in a nutshell.
This make my head spin.
Checkmate!!
Sorry emeka, but "god exists because the bible and church say so" isnt a convincing argument
It's more like: "If you don't like ham sandwiches, how do you go to work?"
One is not contingent on the other, the same way that my belief that my car will be where I parked it doesn't depend on my belief in a deity.
“Ham sandwiches” kind of caught me off guard. 🤣
Just because I don't believe in a book. Doesn't mean that I don't believe in himself(& Man Woman n Child)
NEW . . . 3 DAYS AGO . . . What do those words mean ? It relates to time, but who's time ? Isn't: OLD . . . 7 YEARS AGO, a truer description to this video ? I guess we don't all want as many true things as possible, and as few false things as possible.
I've watched alot of these Atheist Experience videos and I can honestly say that this Emeka guy is probably the worst caller I've ever heard. I can hardly believe that there are real people out there with this kind of mindset. It's bizarre.

Can you define the word 'believe'?
If you use the word believe.. The sentence is wrong, I believe I can see..
The correct sentence is, I know or I am aware that I can see..
Means, I can see is I can see..

Emeka has clearly not given any of this much thought. lol
He doesn’t know what he’s talking about please don’t waste your time mad he’s just trying to have a conversation without any proof or any logical reasoning

These people must realize that what they are saying is ridiculous. "I believe in the bible because it's in the bible"?! The Koran diminishes Jesus?
Only in as much as Muslims don't believe Jesus was the Son of God and that he wasn't resurrected iirc
Otherwise Jesus is favourably acknowledged in the Koran.
If I've missed something I'd be grateful if someone would point out where
EDIT: I'm no scholar of religion.
Because AFAIK there isn't
I'll give Matt the benefit of doubt and assume that he was referring to the lesser role ascribed to Jesus in the Koran.
The request to be informed of anything I have missed in the Koran, was not a call to be repeatedly told what I already know.
If Jesus believed himself to be the son of god & islam says that’s not true, I think that is diminishing Jesus as… not the son of god
Yep, not believing that jesus was the son of god is diminishing him from his divine status to a mere mortal and human status.
@ Penciipauli "Only in as much as Muslims don't believe Jesus was the Son of God and that he wasn't resurrected iirc
If that is not diminishing Jesus, then I do not know what is. That is the foundation of the entirety of modern christianity.
If Muslims do not believe that Jesus is the son of God then they are saying Jesus is a lying prick . 🙄
@@penta4568 we don't know what Jesus believed as no one who wrote about him knew him.
Atheists believe what they've been convinced is true. They are people of faith. The difference in people is who they believe and follow.
The key to being a good troll is subtlety. Consider trying it sometime.
Well, I became an atheist around age 6 because the bible was dumber than reading "The Lord of the Rings". No one convinced me.
In truth, I think many atheists are not 'herd' people... Many people like to be told how to think, how to behave and how to conform... and find it strange that others are not that way...
Pathetic troll has to lie about atheism to pretend its on the same low level as theistic faith.
