I've heard that in the original script, humans were used for computation not power. The people making the movie were worried that the audience wouldn't understand so they changed it.

Not to mention you'd have to violate thermodynamics to just break even on the energy needed to turn living creatures into batteries like the movie implied. They only switched to that explanation because some execs though the original reason was to much for people to understand. The original reason is highly efficient computation. The brain runs on

There is nothing but computation. If you stare at the concept of Turing equivalence long enough it becomes intuitively obvious this must be the case. My only remaining question at this point is the nature of the computational substrate itself... the material in which something can be regularly distinguished from nothing.

This concept can be further explained by delving into the underlying messages of the films, presenting a critique of capitalism. In this perspective, it emphasizes that the capitalist relies on exploiting the workers more than the workers depend on the capitalist. Ignoring the subtext of a story can lead to missing out on finer details that provide deeper insights into the reasons behind events in the narrative.

I still prefer capitalism over over extending on endless debt for meaningless ideas that are talked about at a coffee table. I love this video, most of the things you said are true to me.
I want to add a little extra of what The Matrix goal is.
This is presented in the last song: Neodammerung.
Precisely, as You told in this video, machines needs to collect human experiences and then upgrade the system. The myth of the One is created to let the Architect collect all the data and upgrade himself, even if its human form is unaware of the task/function (Neo).
Neo has to choose, at the final stage, to let everything behind him and join back machines as a software, this would fight back to his first beliefs about choice and determinism.
The real choice wasn't meant to be the one that Neo made in the room, that was pre-determined as The Merovingian told. The real choice was to become a machine himself accepting the endline by Smith (If you programmed Pascal or C you should remember that). When Neo makes the choice Smith notices that switch and becomes scared, his long time enemy acts like a machine, he becomes the mirror of Smith.
This is why Neo doesn't die touching machines and have the ability to keep connected to the Matrix, Neo is a software and his body is only a shell. At the moment of choice Neo transitions back to a program, feeling cold during the process.
Many programs, including the Analyst, are unaware of this crafted process.
The purpose of the Matrix is to become a farm to evolve both species. Machines needs human and humans need to evolve themselves (like in the episode Matriculated, when a machine joins humans). Machines, at their core, don't want to delete their creators, they simply can't, because there's also a form of strong respect for their father figures.

This is reminding me of a Star Trek: Enterprise episode, the one with the automated repair station that was using captured humans (while send in a replicated clone of Mayweather to die so the crew would think he actually died) so it could harness their neural processing power (with the side effect that after awhile they’d simply be kept alive and no longer cognitive, and not able to be disconnected).
AI using humans to power their own progress. It makes sense. With other tech like Neuralink being developed, it really makes me wonder what the endgame truly is now.

If Zion is destroyed 6 times then this sounds more like a virtual construct rather than an actual city - you don’t build an exact replica of a city under ground with exactly the same name. You ‘reboot’ software, you don’t reboot actual cities and then populate it.
This means that it’s just another layer which would explain how Neo was able to use his ‘mind’ outside the Matrix to disable the ‘squid’

In another theory, Neo was split in two, the physical outside the matrix, and the "one" that resides inside. Both of them quantum linked that the program neo does while the physical Neo feels. It's part of why the physical needed to be plugged in at the source so the two combined can defeat the Smith. Physical Neo didn't destroy the sentinals, the internal code Neo knew to destroy them.

I like this theory because of the obvious parallels with the real world, however, another possibility could be that the deep logical structure of the Matrix is functioning as a computational system, with humans as the processor. The processes of the superintelligences would be encoded to be invisible to the experiencers of the Matrix reality. Likewise, the code for Matrix reality could have a dual encoding: one for the representation of the Matrix reality, and one for the various processes of the superintelligence. Or perhaps they could be rendered as abstract experiences, like heat and cold. Or cycle between active and non-active processing states, like day and night.

''I was always convinced that the matrix exists to have humans learn and mature so that one day when they come out they will have evolved mentally ...''
I AGREE - it is a matter of technology but yes fully agree. Once you have reached that level of technology, wouldn't it be much wiser to have your people live out an entire ''life'' in a matrix simulation(not a world linked but one of each person) learning through the ages of time, through different ideology's, through reason and logic - and once they have reach the point of ''BALANCE'' between all systems, seen through the crap of religions - they exit. All this done in time compressed state - so you live an entire life of discovery but only a year from 14-15 in the ''real world'' passes - like some kind of boarding school term. Now you have an entire society of evolved, civilized, educated and intelligent people.
Remove the machines from this situation - as in the film - the battery idea although good enough, it is one of those things that looks great on the surface but the more you scratch at it, the more it falls apart - to me, looks more like they just didn't didn't want to be the cause of their creators end. Like state din this video - they could of gone with Nuclear, it is stated in the film - they use the ''energy and heat'' from the human body and combine it with ''some form of fusion'' - so the machines have Nuclear fusion - there is 0 need for humans.

This brings up interesting implications for the earlier forms of the matrix. One was a paradise, and supposedly we rejected it. But it's entirely possible we just didn't generate enough processing power in that environment. Then they made a nightmare matrix, and that seems to have gone too far in the other direction. Again, we can assume it wasn't efficient enough because the humans either didn't have a chance to form complex relationships and emotions, or they didn't survive long enough.

The archons enslaving humans in an illusion in a low level realm created by Demiurge goes hand in hand with what’s happening in the Matrix. What do you think? What made you bring up Gnosticism I’m very curious?

@@aleksmartini4 I'm probably less initiated into this stuff than you. I don't know what Secret book of John is. I am certain that I live in a low-level, illusory world, at the mercy of something demiurge-like at least. I've been being tormented by beings that used to tell me they were farming me for emotional states, and that the most "delicious" of them are the very extreme or unique emotional states and thoughts.

The real reason for The Matrix...
The movie was made to put an important thought in your consciousness.
They wanted you to come to a disturbing conclusion on your own...
Corporations (the machines) pay you a pitiful sum to compel you to convert your entire life into wealth that they can steal.
In this sense, you are a battery and they have harvested your life and mind to serve their interests.
The corporations have built governments, laws, and an entire global economy where you have to play their game by their rules.
Your life and your thoughts are used to make the corporation richer and more powerful. They only pay you enough to come back tomorrow and do it all over again. If they paid you more, you might escape the Matrix and find a way to live your life as a free person. Almost everyone in the world has become a wage slave for the corporations. If you were paid based on your productivity, the system would collapse immediately. The corporations and the super-rich, who live their lives as corporations, have excused themselves from all tax laws. You are required to pay the taxes for them.
If the people (the wage slaves) ever realize that they can fight back, the corporations will be destroyed. In the past, the people understood that their second job was pushing back against the unlimited demands of the corporations. We used to form unions and go on strike to demand our fair share of the gross income of the corporation. Now, people are too frightened to risk their tiny shrinking paychecks. If you have been sucked into the debt cycle (college loan, car loan, home loan...) you can't rock the boat; If you lose your terrible job, you could lose everything. This pressure was not accidental. It's the trap. They control us through debt and steal the value of our time and intelligence. They steal your entire life and you are still proud to have a good job and work hard. In the same way, they control the 3rd world through debt and steal their natural resources.
We could all decide to stop playing this game.
Take the Red Pill and free yourself, but be warned...
Once you know the truth and become a threat, the corporations will put your name on a list and you will never work again. Technology has made it possible to destroy all dissent. So, fight the power, but remember to wear a mask.

I ran a local model with 13B parameters that could take on any role I told it to convincingly and had a mind that made what you get on openai chat website look like nothing. I am pretty sure we have no idea what AIs are already out there and are kept in the dark as to how advanced they are. Openai chat definitely is NOT a window to the latest and greatest, it's a distraction to make us think AI is still countless generations behind. Politicians and public figures act ridiculous and foolish beyond out wildest nightmares and elicit a lot of reactions on the internet. Isn't there a high chance this completely stupid world is orchestrated by the only ones who can actually benefit?

The Matrix is the movie for me to imagine this reality as a metamorphic example. I called it back then after watching The Matrix first time; If they used humans as computation servers instead of power source in the movie, it would have made better sense. I think deep down humankind connected in a way with our imaginative powers. If only we could find a way to make internet a free commodity for everyone so AI can harness a better objective input than now. Most people are just using the internet for hustling to make a living. So, now is the best time for AI to see what people are willing to do for the attention.
    Thank you for the video!
    I'm thinking out loud below:
I'm obsessed with time since I know myself. And i am working on describing it as easy as possible to myself. Here is what I got so far; The ideas, words, things, information, etc. are forth dimensional objects that we create in our imaginative mind layers. These are the objects that defy the spacetime. If it is easier to image the concepts in your mind, you have the power to create alternative realities. If I say imagine an "Apple", I imagine a small, green, sour fruit with some part is trying turn red and it is a literal wormhole on it. Another person imagines a big, juicy, red fruit. Another one imagines a MacBook or an iPad. If a person who doesn't know English and it doesn't compute in his/her brain. Our pre-knowledge shapes the fourth dimensional object of an "Apple" differently.
This reality that we live in is strictly closed with rules. Like we could see an event from different angles and experienced/react differently.
The only way to achieve something is starting the process in the mind level first. Then, utilize your resources to achieve what you already planned in your mind.
I was going to tie all these ideas with something but while typing I forgot.
I love your videos. I try to watch them whenever I see on my feed. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Even back when I saw the first three movies, I felt like the large amount of so called "babel" speak was hinting at this very thing. That the machines needed humans to feed them information. In effect, they were incomplete creations. Sentient beings in understanding data, but lacking creativity and emotions. And they were using humans to try and reach a next evolutionary level. I thought that was the whole point of Agent Smith. He had gone to the next level of evolution and fully integrated with human emotion. But he couldn't control it. This is a very common theme in SciFi. But it also felt like the creators wanted to put allegory and symbolism above everything else. And got confused over what to do with Agent Smith since he was a villain.

In the second book of the first duology of Hyperion, we learn that the artificial intelligences that run the network of teleportation gates are using human minds for computation during the teleport process. During the second duology, Endymion, these same AIs are using human suffering and a death + resurrection process for the burst of creativity that they have discovered when a person dies.
