I could remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.
Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏
I'm so very happy for you mate, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.
Mt dad just said it was bad parenting and he's probably right. And if he is then how dare he raise me that way 😤. Not kidding it affects my life a lot.
nonstop distracted. its a damn challenge to concentrate on one thing, like a memory, only for u to be drawn away to nothing. its like a cloud. a cloud of nothing always getting in the way
oh wait...i think i do have adhd because my mom always blames me for being forgetful yet she tells people that i am conpletly distractful and i have my own world
Totally normal for people to relate to some of these from time to time. An ADHD person experiences most of these on a daily basis without fail. This video is upbeat but living with ADHD isn't a walk in the park but with a few quirky differences. when your brain bombards you with 100 thoughts at once, all day, all night... and it's like that every single day, it becomes extremely stressful and leads to pretty bad anxiety as well. My brain doesn't shut off, ever. It plays a role in everything, I'm 30 years old and my whole life I tried to pretend I didn't need help... and that I could do this all on my own, well here I am finally seeking help. This video was awesome btw I don't know how im barely seeing this now. I use to watch Ryan every day.
I'm in the process of seeking help as well, but the only time I can feel like my brain doesn't have 1000 other thoughts is when I'm exhausted and want to sleep, it kind of feels like they're not as distracting so I just pass out. If I was trying to fall asleep while not really tired, it would be a difrent story. I'm still figuring things out, so I'm not sure if this is relatable, but that's how it is for me.
@@BunnyEZ Yes, especially at the time of sleep when I'm not tired I can not sleep easily. There are a lot of thoughts that could easily keep me awake for another 1-2 hours and when I become tired of continuous mind chatter I fell asleep.
You mean something like when I decided that I finally clean up mess in my wardrobe but in the middle of it I found my old forgotten toys so I'm checking what it is and o my god, I totally forgot about this, I need to text my sister about it and then when I looked for my phone I realized that right now my room is a total mess?

This video really was so far ahead of its time compared to the awareness of adhd that we have now. I love this, thank you for being a part of my childhood I can revisit.
Do y’all ever start working on something and 90% of the “working” time you’re giving yourself a tour throughout the house, getting snacks, and going on your phone?
I have this huge project that we do in senior year of highschool, we have an entire year to do it. I set out to do a book of illustrations. I had twelve months to do it, but really started working a month before the deadline. I'll print it next week and am barely halfway through🙃
i remember the post that said something like "either people with adhd need to stop being so relatable or i need to go to the doctor" and honestly that's just my life right there lol
This literally reminded me that i have an assignment due today(it's 9.28 pm) and that i haven't done a single thing about it yet even though a had about 3 weeks to do it... welp-

My brother and I watched this 6 years ago and joked about how I do all of these things.... I got diagnosed with ADHD nine months ago. I wish I didn't wait until I was in my 20s to get the help I needed. I should've listened to Ryan sooner lol
I'm currently in my 20's with my ADHD in full swing, because I've never taken any sort of meds. It's solely an advantage now, as I've learned how to get over it's said drawbacks or use them to my benefit. I can multitask with little effort, I'm more aware of my surroundings, I have a very high level of endurance, etc.
HAHAHA same when I was around 14 I watched this video and related to a bunch of stuff but thought there was no way I had adhd. Less than a couple years later I got diagnosed 😃 I’m 19 now
@@firstlast3510 I am 15 and I also relate to almost all of these, but think I can't have ADHD. Crap. edit: The only one I don't relate to is the one with reading a book, if I am reading an interesting book then I can read 100 pages in one go without even realizing it.
Some people don’t rlly notice symptoms until they get a bit older and life gets harder to manage. That’s what happened with me. When you start to feel like your life is being extremely negatively impacted by somethings youve tried to fix but it just won’t happen that’s when you probably should see a doctor. I would wait it out for now. And I would also try to not get addicted to your phone. Overstimulation can give a person adhd-like symptoms.
@@firstlast3510 I am depressed now. I have all of those symptoms and I still think I don't have adhd. There is one exception tho, if I find something very interesting, I am extremely focused on it. That's how I discovered a new field in mathematics, I am 17 now.

The one thing that people ALWAYS forget is : Hyper-focus. It's when all the distraction lining up into one straight line and you can't be distracted by anything else. When all the random thoughts are supporting each other. Usually when some thing is super interesting that an ADHD mind will focus in only that one thing and the thousand aspects surrounding that interesting thing

When you have adhd and anxiety it's like one anxious thought leads to another anxious thought and before you realise it, you're now freaking out about walking past people laughing because you think they're laughing at you and then you freak out about looking funny, and then about being ugly, and about them talking about you , and and and etc..
This is so relatable tho... try having adhd, anxiety, add, and a really vivid imagination. I’m legitimately constantly worrying about mind readers reading my thoughts and thinking I’m weird every time I have an uncomfortable thought. Which causes me to try to think about something different which only leads to another uncomfortable thought even though I know that none of it is even slightly realistic. Then I just feel like I’m going crazy inside my own head. I also have ocd on top of that. My brain is a mess.
being in group discussions over zoom is so mentally draining because most of the time the people in my group think that im not participating, but the problem is that what they are contributing is distracting me from what i wanted to say. by the time we have to go back to the main group, i havent said anything because i couldnt find a spot to fit in my idea or i forgot my idea due to the other people sharing. edit: pls do not self-diagnose if you can relate to my comment !! this can happen to people without adhd also!! this is not a specifically adhd trait! i just wanted to share my experience!
same, i'm not diagnosed with adhd but i cut off people's sentences unintentionally because if i don't get it out immediately i will never be able to cuz i'll just forget.
I got this video recommend to me on TH-cam again and it hurts to see that this video is 8 years old now :( Ryan literally raised me from his videos and it’s so sad that I won’t ever be able to watch a video like this ever again

i watched this as a teenager and related to every single point. i was diagnosed with adhd but my mother refused to believe it was real. here i am in 2021, dropped out of college 2 times, trying so damn hard and it's never enough, and I'm finally getting help. this video popped up in my recommended and flooded me with so many memories of my childhood. of me not knowing what was going, why i was always described as smart but not trying hard enough, disinterested, or lazy. i remember this video brought me comfort, though i didn't want to relate at the time, my mother would have had me believe that any mental illness made me stupid, less, or other. now i know better. thank you, you are part of the reason i never gave up and stayed hopeful.
I am 25 untreated and find it affecting my life severely. I will leave class after I get there because I think I left the heater on. I will have everything to leave I get in my car, to realize I don't know where I set my keys down or that I even did. To be able to get my associates degree I had to take 1-2 classes a semester being untreated. I am going back to school full time and am so worried. I have a doctors appointment Monday as I feel like it is actually hindering my quality of life. I wish when I was young I would not have felt so ashamed of having to take something for it, that way I would have been able to get properly treated.
How is all of this me? I was diagnosed in first grade, and everything in this video happens to me on a daily basis. I laughed out loud throughout that whole "free-style" rant, too. I'm constantly thinking about everything and everything 24/7. I really appreciate when people create these videos because it gives people who don't have ADHD a perspective on how we live.
ADHD things: (don’t self diagnose from these or convince yourself that you do them because self diagnosed looking for an excuse are so annoying but if yup genuinely do relate to these maybe get checked out) Finding a lump, bump or pimple and picking at it without realising and forgetting not to, making the pain or problem worse Replying to conversations and then asking what you just replied to (lack of focus) Constantly moving, even if it’s small movements like moving your teeth or fingers because you’ve had to mask it to fit in Getting random ass waves of anger, sadness or full on crackhead Getting really into things (like TV shows or bands) really intensely, but getting sick of it pretty quick Good at doing things fast (like typing, talking, running) Gets distracted very easily Has lots of tabs open on laptop Cannot stay focused on one subject during study Constantly has a million thoughts at once Zones out all the time Good reaction time Forgets what they are doing while they are doing it Can remember lots of people's names but randomly forgets the people close to them sometimes When you're taking notes and then a random thought pops up so now you've accidentally written that thought instead of what you're trying to copy Like if you can relate and comment any others so I can add them
other (lesser known) symptoms of ADHD that i have, and maybe you do too: - hyperfocus: basically the opposite of the cliche “ooh butterfly”, where for an amount of time, usually between matter of hours to a couple days, you’re super focused on one thing, almost to the point of not being able to stop, even to the point (in severe cases), not eating or sleeping for days at a time solely because you couldn’t tear your focus away from doing one thing for even a short period of time. - self medication: some people that don’t take prescribed medication for their adhd are able to self medicate with caffeine, like coffee or energy drinks (yellow redbull is my favorite). It gives roughly the same effect as taking meds, i.e., less fidgeting and better focus. - can’t learn things from videos: i’m not sure why this happens, but if a lecture is uploaded in a video form, it’s a billion times harder to learn and take notes, even with the ability to rewind. - adhd depression: where it feels like there’s nothing to do, nothing sounds fun or appealing. you don’t want to read, watch youtube or netflix, exercise, etc, so life just feels bleak and boring and you usually just end up sleeping a lot, because although it’s boring, at least its something to do. i hope you got some education, or further understanding of the enigma that is ADHD, and i hope you have an amazing day!
Hey most of these are true! Especially the one about self medication, i diddnt think my meds worked at first because i was addicted to energy drinks and they gave the same results
It’s not that people with ADHD (or just people who are chronic procrastinators) work best under pressure, it’s that they ONLY work under pressure. (Technically yes, that is the ‘best’ but technically since they only work under pressure it could also be their ‘worst’)
Your rapid fire presentation is awesome. I really liked the talking to someone and figuring out which eye to pick! ALSO I can NEVER remember if I washed my hair in the shower or not. Seriously. It happens at least every 10 days. One thing as an ADHD person, I never take long to figure out what to order. In fact, I take up everything and everyone in my environment, the elast thing I spend time on is what to order. It's so easy. With ADHD, you see the entire menu in a snap, and instantly know what you're getting. I even let everyone else order then make my decision after a few seconds glance at the menu. Of course I'll make it difficult with a special request like a lime, or extra sauce etc.
Oh my god....I was only diagnosed about a year ago and I'm nearly 50 and this has been me my whole life. He so perfectly describes exactly what has been going on in my head for ever. And, I love how fast he talks, I am always told to slow down, don't speak so fast. I heard someone respond when told to slow down, why don't you keep up? That's how I've always felt. Unfortunately, I got diagnosed because I have been having SO much trouble with my career, which is possibly failing the PhD I started before I realised I was ridiculously bad at project managing a 'giant' idea into a really tiny focused piece and not realising about the every thought leading to another would be a bad thing - worked great all the way up to no at Uni and in life, but anyhoo...It is just really frustrating bc it feels like I'm failing and I so know all about the subject and its brilliant but I just can't figure out all the little boring bits that I needed to do, but nobody told me and there was no way that I'd figure it out, and there is nobody who can really help me at the university, so I am doing a paper equal to about 6 months work in a few weeks - which is great, because I need the pressure but I just feel rather isolated because Im sure from their perspective it would be completely frustrating working with me just as its completely frustrating getting given pretty straight forward instructions, and at the time when they give them to me I think, yeah thats simple I can do that but then when I begin the work myself, I get completely confused and over-complicate it and am always behind because of being too embarassed to ask for help for what feels like ALL THE TIME!!!! Phew, didn't mean to write that much, thanks for the confessional

adhd gets misdiagnosed 20% of the time and contains co morbid illnesses. the problem with that is many illness's especially revolving around mood and anxiety disorders co habitate a lot of the same symptoms. Id recommend not jumping to conclusions and seeing a dr. there's a chance you actually have a mood disorder. Having "mild adhd" doesn't exactly work that way while on a spectrum its not stronger to weaker its more type 1-2 and combined + symptomatic vs not. Bi polar and borderline personality disorder are common misdiagnosis and involve the not smiling thing heavily =)

If what you said rings true to people with ADHD, then I kind of checked off everything on that list. And it’s amazing how specific you’re being - such as fluidly reading several pages of a book, sounding out the words, maybe even reading out loud - then 2 pages later realizing you’ve been daydreaming about a phrase you read in the first paragraph of page 1 - completely not knowing what you just read. Or the fact that I am ALWAYS playing an imaginary piano to a song that I’m listening to - even at 2am when I’m up late and can’t sleep. Or the fact that I can’t sit down and have a phone call unless I’m doodling something (I am an art TH-camr in my defence) Or the fact that throughout school and my career, I always felt like that guy who couldn’t keep up - didn’t quite “have what it takes” regardless of my very persistent efforts Or the fact that my TH-cam videos, which are long-form talks about art career related things - are 100% of the time, completely freestyle. I just come up with a topic that I feel is important and go on about it until that thought exhausts itself. I literally check off everything on that list - and I haven’t mentioned yet, I’m a fairly successful 46 year old (at least, successful now - but it was a rough road to get here) And lastly, two of my 3 kids have ADHD (one diagnosed so far) - and I’m dating someone with ADHD - and I love people with ADHD, their humour, their sharp whit - like Girlfriend Reviews or Jim Carrey or well.. most annoying thing about ADHD is when you start talking to a friend about the weather, but then you have to stop to backtrack to find out how you got onto the subject of nuclear fission.
Lol I have to keep track of tangents in my head, like a big rocket-science type problem being written on a big board in my brain. Then, some parts get erased and I end up concluding whatever I'm talking about randomly.
I literally cried watching this. I didn't know about this, I just stumbled on this. My life's been so hard n not understanding a single thing is just hell. Thank you
same recently ive been suspecting i have this mental disorder but i cant do anything to get diagnosed or anything rn and it sucks cuz this or some other mental disorder is literally affecting every single little thing in my life

I remember watching this and relating to everything. I always felt like I understood exactly what you meant whenever you talked about your ADHD. I just got diagnosed and I start my medication soon, so I wonder how different my thought process will be.
I remember watching this like 5 years ago and thinking "Haha, no, those are just regular things that everyone does!" Anyways, I'm now on a waiting list to see a psychologist to get myself assessed for ADHD 🙃
I really don't want to be "that person" but I'm gonna say this anyway, lol. Before you write that "omg I relate to all of these, I think I have ADHD" comment, take a moment to consider this: in order for these traits to count as serious ADHD symptoms, they need to occur so frequently that they have a serious effect on your daily life, most likely in many different areas such as school, work, and relationships. There are of course high functioning people with ADHD who aren't that strongly affected by their disorder, but the fact still remains that everyone can relate to these things every once in a while and that in itself doesn't mean anything. If these things aren't actively making your life way harder than it should be, you probably don't have ADHD.
Not kidding, I kinda forgot what was this comment saying when I was half way through reading it and somehow I began thinking about benches and chairs (cause of the word "school" maybe).
When you have something set in your mind and you’re like “yes, I have to do this, I have to get this stuck in my mind so I don’t forget!” But then 5 seconds like you end up doing something and you immediately forget what it was
Lmfaooo I don't appreciate being called out like this 😂... In all seriousness, he just retold my life. I just got diagnosed with ADHD at 22, and I've been feeling uneasy about said diagnosis... But, as I am watching ADHD TH-cam, i am seeing so many similarities between my experience and this... Btw, the "ruminations" that Nigahiga did, did actually distract me leading to this comment being started way before the video was finished 😂
Nah bro it is sometimes but mostly it just keeps me from being creative. I end up worrying about what I’m doing, thinking too much and not being able to think.
My adhd gift is to have a wild story with dramatic up and downs And possibly forget all of it again and then watch the drama again with the awesome feeling all over again This is the reason you get bored rarely in something you do like! And all over repeat again
YOU ARE ME!!! 1000% But I am diagnosed. This is the best video I've seen that represents our struggles. However I was impressed with it taking a few pages to remember you forgot what the previous pages were. I get the the end a sentence and have to re-read it 5x, and still I can not tell you what I just read. That goes for movies too. Don't ask me to watch a series where I have to remember the plot... no can do. It's a crazy brain to live with. But at least I'm alive.

YES sure of mycologist Predroshrooms.

is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love.

Some people don’t rlly notice symptoms until they get a bit older and life gets harder to manage. That’s what happened with me. ADHD things: (don’t self diagnose from these or convince yourself that you do them because self diagnosed looking for an excuse are so annoying but if yup genuinely do relate to these maybe get checked out)
Finding a lump, bump or pimple and picking at it without realising and forgetting not to, making the pain or problem worse
Replying to conversations and then asking what you just replied to (lack of focus)
Constantly moving, even if it’s small movements like moving your teeth or fingers because you’ve had to mask it to fit in

other (lesser known) symptoms of ADHD that i have, and maybe you do too:
- hyperfocus: basically the opposite of the cliche “ooh butterfly”, where for an amount of time, usually between matter of hours to a couple days, you’re super focused on one thing, almost to the point of not being able to stop, even to the point (in severe cases), not eating or sleeping for days at a time solely because you couldn’t tear your focus away from doing one thing for even a short period of time.
Yeah these are all true, but I find the opposite for videos, I think their easier to learn from for me
Hey most of these are true! Especially the one about self medication, i diddnt think my meds worked at first because i was addicted to energy drinks and they gave the same results

"You work best when you're under pressure" sounds like me😂😂

It’s not that people with ADHD (or just people who are chronic procrastinators) work best under pressure, it’s that they ONLY work under pressure. (Technically yes, that is the ‘best’ but technically since they only work under pressure it could also be their ‘worst’)
Summer reading a nutshell.

Or the fact that I can’t sit down and have a phone call unless I’m doodling something (I am an art TH-camr in my defence)
Or the fact that throughout school and my career, I always felt like that guy who couldn’t keep up - didn’t quite “have what it takes” regardless of my very persistent efforts
Or the fact that my TH-cam videos, which are long-form talks about art career related things - are 100% of the time, completely freestyle. I just come up with a topic that I feel is important and go on about it until that thought exhausts itself.
I literally check off everything on that list - and I haven’t mentioned yet, I’m a fairly successful 46 year old (at least, successful now - but it was a rough road to get here)
And lastly, two of my 3 kids have ADHD (one diagnosed so far) - and I’m dating someone with ADHD - and I love people with ADHD, their humour, their sharp whit - like Girlfriend Reviews or Jim Carrey or well..
