It's amazing. The only thing I would like to colonize remote systems. Pulling a chain 10 ly at a time, even for a modest 1000 ly, sounds like torture. If we leave the system with a radius, then the minimum acceptable value for me is 500 ly, in accordance with carrier's jump. Even the noodles ordered through Uber eats from Sol won't have time to cool down in that time, lol.
I like it, purchase a claim, then deliver materials. I’ve been grinding the last couple weeks as we don’t know how much this is going to cost. Saved up 20 billion so far
This is the right direction for ED to take imo. Sure ship interiors and better FPS mechanics would be cool, but then it would just be riding SC’s coattails. ED’s massive economy simulation, player-driven story developments, and limitless exploration are what set ED apart and make it shine.
riding Star Citizen's coattails? Bro what you smoking? Star Citizen wasn't the first to do any of the gameplay mechanics they have now. This system building crap has nothing to do Elite Dangerous. We are literally going form exploring planets on our own to now having NPCS do it for us. I feel like we went from hoping FDEV would finally start listening to us with adding more planet types we can land on or ship interiors to this lazy planet coaster wannabe system colonization.
I am surprised it took them this long to implement base building and system colonization, considering there 400 billion star systems to explore in the game
I got so many questions ! Can we name the facilities in our systems ? Do we collect tax on trade and facility usage in our system ? Can you attack facilities ? Could a group that control a few system eventually become it's own power in powerplay ? As the system architect, how much control do I have over local NPC ? Is there like a local faction which I control, do I control who my station view as friendly / who's blocked entry ? This has so much potential, I do hope they really let all the possibility open to the players.
I hope you can't name facilities, start systems, stations silly things like "Sonichu" or "Station-McStation-face". I'd prefer to keep it close to lore.
Yeah this could either be the best update ever or very underwhelming. Holding out hope that we can rename our systems/stations/bases and collect passive income from the economy
I kinda hope we do get an option to drop some concrete foundations at some point. those cargo yards shown in the footage just look silly to me dumped down on raw dirt. Otherwise, I might actually be carefully optimistic for once about ED.
They say during livestream that bases gonna go throu development proces. So i guess this is first phase, and finally they gonna look like bases we have in game now
Sad to say this does not look like will bring me back :( As a solo player, I'm not interested, nor can't purchase, never mind maintain a Carrier. This looks like will be even be more prohibitive. COMPLETE MISSION OVERHAWL is what I'd be really interested in, personally.
Yeah playing this game solo is tough, It's more like job than a game. My hats off to you. Im solo too most of the time, Well i have not played in almost a year now though.
Im quite happy as a mostly solo commander. I can make a billion in exo bio in a night if I'm lucky. Sadly, I don't have more than a night or two per week. I'm looking forward to building something that'll hopefully last until the game shuts down.
If you can’t maintain a single Fleet Carrier then yeah this probably isn’t for you. I’m a solo player and own 4 FCs so of course your mileage may vary.
Why not go slightly part of squadron-mode? You don't need to go full multiplayer. I think it's not too hard to maintain a carrier. Doing just that. If you're part of a squadron it's easy to often get easy 50mil credits missions with very low time investment. Not even much need to communicate.
How much cash does it take to start this, and how much can we make from it? I imagine being the Governor of an entire system is going to lead to some pretty strapping income gains, depending on your location. My major question is: what if I don't want my systems to be involved with Powerplay? I like the idea of being a singular, High Security system under my own authority rather than one of the talking heads, as well as pulling out of Power support if I'd like to. If these systems lead to a certain level of grind automation, that would definitely be interesting.
You are NOT going to be a governor of the system - the system will be ruled by BGS minor faction. Your role will be to a) place pre-made assets onto certain positions and b) pay for them in credits, materials and labour. So it's YOU who's gonna be paing, not the other way around.
we can't even assume we will be in control of the colonized system, from what we are hearing it could be possible it's just player guided expansion, and we don't really get anything out of it.
OK FDev, *now* you've got my attention. On the info at hand so far, this _looks_ promising ... with the usual caveats based on history of new E:D features.
Looks really good, but I wonder if we'll be able to profit from the systems we create and if we'll be able to create our own player factions to control those systems, instead of it being purely individual.
This sounds very interesting. I have one concern though. Will a solo player have any chance of completing the material delivery phase in time? It's likely that any new colonies created in solo will appear in group and open play as well, and will show up on the relevant starport menu page for other players to deliver to, but in case it's not, I hope the grind won't be too excessive.
My concern as well. It should be doable. I mean - I hope that initial resource gathering should be doable for most players who play solo. Plenty of us there
10:03 - The Devs "aim to misbehave?" Genuinely sounds like an interesting addition to the game, but like everything in the past - 'it sounds good but what's the catch?' lol I hope this doesn't end up being something for the 1% of the 0.1% to spend their gorillions of credits on, while 99.9999% of the player base will never ever ever be able to grind for years on end to gain enough to even buy a Carrier lol. And let's hope there's no 'weekly colony upkeep' that if you stop playing for a couple weeks and miss a payment, hours and hours of grinding all goes POOF and disappears lol.
System colonization is exponentially more complicated than owning a fleet carrier for instance, and we know how the grind for that went and how the community felt (feels?) about it. All I'm saying is there's most likely gonna be an insane grind. It's just the nature of Frontier, I would be pleasantly surprised if I am wrong. Still, expect it for what it is and it will be less disappointing.
Super excited! Now I wish I didn't sell my VR headset and my PC. Playing on mouse and keyboard is soo different. I wish ED will continue to grow, this game has so much potential I'm definitely going try this.
I would love if they would allow us to use fleet carriers to assist other player with starting colonies. Think making the shovels for the gold diggers. We pay them and they get more use out of their fleet carrier. It would allow for giant endeavors between people getting fleet carriers and people getting colonies. Imagine the fleet carriers becoming the new space stations because all the resources start to flow to the carriers!
If the new gameplay isn't too excessively grindy or makes the mistake of incorporating weekly upkeep again, I am totally gonna try to colonize a Neutron Star system. Basically a nice rest stop on the exploration neutron star highway 😏
Is this for "End Game" players that have reached maximum levels & not really for early & mid level players? I would still also like some type of Achievement Grind Storyline where you have to perform actions (modified to current player level, noobs a few missions, elite a large number) to put targets for players to follow. The original Amiga version had something like this with periodic Mega ship battles when achieving milestone but is wasn't a fleshed out story, just a "Mission" that would appear.
Joining a squadron I think a lot becomes more viable. Doesn't even need to be most of the time. Switching back & forth between solo & squadron is perfectly doable.
10ly is pretty small they're gonna want to extend that or have some alternative method of getting a system claim because 100% players are going to be bumping into each other trying to get to the Guardian bubble.
This is really good news! I hope they keep the train going with all these feature updates! I would love to be able to land on a water world and have cloud and storm audio!
So if I understood this well? We have money, we deploy this thing, we make the new home base, and then all people can use that. It becomes like all of the rest but besides this we also have control to add more things into it? Besides this factionns will be able to work here, so all in all this is like a base that is made by the player that is all right?
Yup. Seems like that. On the top of that - because we will be able to choose locations placement it might be awesome to make the gameplay by this more interesting
This would have been nice in 2018 and till now we should have Ship interiors and atmo planets with intelligent life... just place some assets on a lifless planet....
I don't want to but I agree, it looks pretty meh. Players will be excited to 'own' systems of course but the actual assets look pretty generic. May as well just let you 'buy' an already built up system.
I've seen people responding to that with "Focus on the positives" or "You're too hard to please." The game's been out for 10 years. They could've 100% done ship interiors by now. I want to like this, but I don't trust it.
Even though this is a great feature, I can't help but think about all the other great features that have been abandonned. That's the great Elite Dangerous tragedy, tons of features that have been released and instantly left to rot, not implemented into new ones.
I am pretty sure these *free* updates (PowerPlay 2.0 & System Colonisation) are aligning the playerbase for demand for a new DLC based on access to new planet types in 2025. They have struggled to sell DLCs before so I feel this is a new strategy to boost future DLC sales.
@@HCforLife1 Nonsense. Game's been out 10 years, and those 10 years need to be taken into consideration with future content. Being wary is the right move here.
@@MrDoggo23I get it. But recent elite dangerous lead team changes seem to work. We shouldn't make them accountable for something out of their control. I agree with the past mistakes. Especially abandoning the game for about a couple of years recently
I hope they will be willing to let us name our bases and installations with the same kind of approval process they did for factions and what not. Starport Bacon construction underway!
If this is coming then its awesome but id love to have my own space stations, theres a missed opportunity, you could have your own mining stations earning u credits in the background, could tie them in to the planetary settlements so that their needs are met by the station
1st, don't you have to do that with any and ALL MMO's? Sounds like you've picked the wrong game genre to play if that's a problem. 2nd, you seem to be a very hard to please. I'd hate to be a romantic interest of yours.
@@SKYST0RY I can't agree completely. The game really needs mechanics that allow players to influence the world and create something of their own. This gives motivation to return to the game. No matter how much complex content is added, it can be completely completed and studied, and the content created by players is something dynamic and constantly evolving. I'm not saying that I would not like to see interiors and complex ecology on planets (and not identical corals that somehow colonized 90% of the galaxy) and so on. What the developers are doing now should significantly extend the life cycle of the game.
Also I wonder if they will add atmospheric worlds, I keep saying the same thing lol, I don’t mind if we are limited in what worlds but I would love to see water worlds or habitable planets with no life
No chance in my opinion. But who knows? Maybe they are working on it? For now we haven't even got atmospheric tech. Current is more like a skybox. There is no real atmosphere density or physics involved.
@@HCforLife1 Another thing to note is the engine. The fossil that runs elite could barely handle Odyssey, and though it's much more optimized now, it still runs less than ideal. Imagine that same engine trying to handle an earth like world, no chance. They'd have to use a different engine, meaning a different game, meaning a sequel. As far as we know Frontier has no plans to move on from ED, even if they did, trying to teach current Frontier devs a new engine would be like teaching seniors how to work a new-fangled mcdonalds kiosk, aka, impossible.
Honestly I really want them to take notes from the X games especially X4 Foundations. Base creation, freewalking through ships, stations and space, and at least a Squadron of NPC Fighters My gripe with X4 is it's level of polish, Elite doesn't have to change its identity but as a Space Sandbox this can be a step in the right direction
I thought it'd be pretty clear that the large portion of the player base would prefer more random variety of the actual space stuff rather than the planet walk-about stuff which alienates everyone in VR. But Frontier doubles down again. Can't wait to see 100 clones of the same base near every mining spot, like we have with fleet carriers.
Really hyped for this update. As a out-of-bubble explorer I would love to make my favourite sector my home. (Hope it wouldn't be claimed in some guild powerplay)
Finally! No man's sky in our Elite! :) I'd prefer more of the 'planet crafter' tho. Looking forwards. This is the first thing since carriers (i've bought one and left it to rust) that would make me return to the game!
It's nice that frontier is finally done with Thargoids and seemingly doing some actual work to keep moving the game forward again. But in my opinion they REALLY need to commit to 2-4 new ships a year.
A _potential_ positive step forwards. Let's hope it's good, but we should temper our expectations, lest we be disappointed yet again. I'm expecting a colossal grind.
man if only this stuff came out like...6 years ago? Maybe it would have saved itself, but the absolute mismanagement of this game has been tragic, but I guess it's nice to see SOMEONE in that company TRYING to make cool stuff for the game. Also they keep shirking ship interiors....we have been waiting since day one, give it to us, even if they start out slow with smaller ships and work their way up....just....do it.
Cool so we can place assets on lifeless rocks for an exorbitant realtime upkeep cost. I think at this point it must just be spite keeping them from adding more variety to the types of planets we can land on. The fact that they show the station being constructed orbiting a lush blue planet you can't land on was absolutely intentional, to rub it in.
I can't wait for every single asset you place down to have a weekly maintenance of 1500 lavian brandy and void Opals, where if you miss a single week it shuts down and then disappears.
Love that I bought this on Xbox and bought all the dlc just for it all to end up being one package and then abandoned... Love that. They really shouldn't keep selling on console if there aren't gonna be anymore updates...
5000 hours I have on Xbox, I played it from Game Preview on Xbox, was so excited for the DLC/Update when it was just simply pulled, I understand they're a business and it's all about the bottom line, but console players really did get a raw deal.
@@Albert_O_Balsam yeah I feel that hard. Maybe we'll get lucky and SC will come to console when it releases lmao. Or once Starfield is finished and modded to high hell
If players are able to collaborate on shipping construction materials to an under-construction system facility, then yes, larger groups will necessarily gain a headstart, as they will in theory be able to colonise more systems in less time. That said, it's a big galaxy, and for every system that gets colonised, there will still be literal millions left for others to claim, whether they're part of a big group or not.
im a little sad at the distance restsriction, i would love to make a station way out in the deep dark and be a little system for explorers to stop by and refuel and such
Interesting: I'm glad they had some "Deliver your own materials" to the build- I was afraid that it would be simply "Pay X amount and everything will get done".
4:50 so basically this is FDEV giving us the tools that they have in a more simplified manner and telling us to do their job of expanding the bubble for them and in return we get our name on the system/ station as "architect". is there at least some sort of way to make money off of it or something???
@kessilrun6754 XD no i don't look at it negatively, tbh any content is welcomed especially if it's good. i'm just slightly worried it won't be as cool as we imagine it. i'm hoping that having a station will give us control on the market, meaning that we'll be able to do "buy" and "sell" orders of materials, to incentivize players to sell certain materials at the player stations rather than the NPC ones. (this would be during the construction of the station, restricted only to the needed material, then after the construction for all the materials according to the station type. i hope the commodities and materials will be consumables that we'll then be able to use to craft module/ships and whatnot to make more credits.
So if I understand it correctly the npc you buy the system claim is located in the bubble, on the edge I am assuming, and you can claim system only 10 ly from this npc???

This is the right direction for ED to take imo. Sure ship interiors and better FPS mechanics would be cool, but then it would just be riding SC’s coattails. ED’s massive economy simulation, player-driven story developments, and limitless exploration are what set ED apart and make it shine.
That's true, it would give me more reason to play both games for different things.
riding Star Citizen's coattails? Bro what you smoking? Star Citizen wasn't the first to do any of the gameplay mechanics they have now. This system building crap has nothing to do Elite Dangerous. We are literally going form exploring planets on our own to now having NPCS do it for us. I feel like we went from hoping FDEV would finally start listening to us with adding more planet types we can land on or ship interiors to this lazy planet coaster wannabe system colonization.
I am surprised it took them this long to implement base building and system colonization, considering there 400 billion star systems to explore in the game
I could just as easily argue this is just "copying No Man's Sky."
I love Elite but limitless exploration is boring without variety and things to see and do.
Please do keep your expectations low as we've been dissapointed by this game studio many times before
I hope you can't name facilities, start systems, stations silly things like "Sonichu" or "Station-McStation-face". I'd prefer to keep it close to lore.
@Kuldirongaze1 I would love to dock at 'Porkie's house of ribs' or some stuff like that :)... Human will do human stuff.
@Gamingsincethe70s lol. Yeah that's fine. But they had better sell ribs by the ton so I can ship it to the Thargoid front :)
Yeah this could either be the best update ever or very underwhelming. Holding out hope that we can rename our systems/stations/bases and collect passive income from the economy
I bet it costs 10 billion per buulding, with 100 million daily upkeep. Oh, and you need to grind 10 hours of a certain mineral per day as well.
Definitely
Not to mention the $100 you will have to spend on a paid DLC to add this feature...
No, it's going to be cheaper than a carrier and there will be no upkeep. They've already said this.
I came back to elite recently, glad you're still making content!
and let's be ready for the grind in a defined time frame .... this will never change
Oh my I’m just so unbelievably excited about this. After all this time finally in a way we’re getting what we asked for. Keep it going Frontier 🎉
I kinda hope we do get an option to drop some concrete foundations at some point. those cargo yards shown in the footage just look silly to me dumped down on raw dirt. Otherwise, I might actually be carefully optimistic for once about ED.
They say during livestream that bases gonna go throu development proces. So i guess this is first phase, and finally they gonna look like bases we have in game now
Finally feels like Elite Dangerous is starting to get back on track. Might have to reinstall and get back into the grind.
This might be what brings me back to the game
THIS is the Elite Dangerous I've been waiting for!
I'M COMING BACK TO THIS GAME! Totally stoked about base building!!!
Sad to say this does not look like will bring me back :(
As a solo player, I'm not interested, nor can't purchase, never mind maintain a Carrier.
@@CameronMiller Exactly, it isn't for me :( Not willing to be grinding exploits non-stop to pay for the things the game currently offers anymore.
Great news! I'm especially happy to hear the player controlled factions should get getting an overhaul.
Now I want bacon.
Thank you for another video! Great to hear and see news from Elite!
This is interesting...might be time to revisit Elite Dangerous soon.
Anyone remember Distant Worlds 2 - Building a station at SagA? Astroid surface mining for hours?
OK FDev, *now* you've got my attention. On the info at hand so far, this _looks_ promising ... with the usual caveats based on history of new E:D features.
let the grind begin
Looks really good, but I wonder if we'll be able to profit from the systems we create and if we'll be able to create our own player factions to control those systems, instead of it being purely individual.
This is my worry. Sounds like a massive time and credit sink with no talks of any gains for doing it.
Plenty of us there
@@HCforLife1 Here's hoping.
10:03 - The Devs "aim to misbehave?"
Genuinely sounds like an interesting addition to the game, but like everything in the past - 'it sounds good but what's the catch?' lol
I hope this doesn't end up being something for the 1% of the 0.1% to spend their gorillions of credits on, while 99.9999% of the player base will never ever ever be able to grind for years on end to gain enough to even buy a Carrier lol.
The bubble is about to get a lot bigger
If there are enough players left to make it grow...
Have you seen how many freaking fleet carriers there are? There's plenty of people @@Momo5775
@@Momo5775a lot of us are waiting for this to drop
@@HCforLife1 There are dozens of us! Dozens!
Tendrils extending towards all sorts of interesting sites I hope, like famous stars outside the main bubble.
Holy shit WAIT, we doin PLANETARY STUFF AS WELL? Daaaymmmm , ok, they are truly cooking, I did NOT expect buildable planetary facilties!
can't wait for this to turn out the same as the carriers where you have to constantly be grinding for ludicrous amounts of money
The Frontier curse, lol.
thats one of the reasons why i left, i probably dont own a carrier anymore since i stopped giviing it resources. its ridicolous.
All has to be within 10ly of bubble
@@Andromedon777 No, it has to be withing 10ly of an inhabited system, so any system already populated will do
@@octi118 Ah so you can chain it. News to me!
This is Elite. Of course it's going to be a grindfest.
Awesome! Now we just need the Panther Clipper to haul all the cargo we'll need to build the new system facilities!!
It's a good thing anyway.
But. You're. Still. Here.
@@Tamburello_1994 yeah, watching many videos from ant :)
This sounds great, just need to figure out a good way to get my monies up
Even though this is a great feature, I can't help but think about all the other great features that have been abandonned.
That's the great Elite Dangerous tragedy, tons of features that have been released and instantly left to rot, not implemented into new ones.
Why don't you focus on the positives?
I am pretty sure these *free* updates (PowerPlay 2.0 & System Colonisation) are aligning the playerbase for demand for a new DLC based on access to new planet types in 2025. They have struggled to sell DLCs before so I feel this is a new strategy to boost future DLC sales.
@@HCforLife1 Nonsense. Game's been out 10 years, and those 10 years need to be taken into consideration with future content. Being wary is the right move here.
@@HCforLife1 Tell that to console players, and those who purchased Odyssey day one.
This is pretty awesome.
Any chance of a video about the X4 roadmap that was just dropped?
I just wanna know if we can rename our systems/stations/planetary bases once colonized. Would love to be able to build a narrative using these systems
If this is coming then its awesome but id love to have my own space stations, theres a missed opportunity, you could have your own mining stations earning u credits in the background, could tie them in to the planetary settlements so that their needs are met by the station
Absolutely, we have been waiting for this freaking update for so many years. it is still the most beautiful VR space game there is.
Do you have the link for the livestream this came from, I would very much like to watch it.
I've been asking for this since opening day. They are finally realizing player structures and crafting are the way to hold players long term.
Just feels like more grinding. Ship interiors. Atmospheric planets. Aliens and wildlife on planets. Frontier still missing the mark.
1st, don't you have to do that with any and ALL MMO's? Sounds like you've picked the wrong game genre to play if that's a problem.
2nd, you seem to be a very hard to please. I'd hate to be a romantic interest of yours.
And VR.
@Play_In_Traffic jumping to ad hominem shows how weak minded you are and uninteresting.
Elite is not for the lazy-minded.
Base creation, freewalking through ships, stations and space, and at least a Squadron of NPC Fighters
My gripe with X4 is it's level of polish, Elite doesn't have to change its identity but as a Space Sandbox this can be a step in the right direction
I thought it'd be pretty clear that the large portion of the player base would prefer more random variety of the actual space stuff rather than the planet walk-about stuff which alienates everyone in VR. But Frontier doubles down again. Can't wait to see 100 clones of the same base near every mining spot, like we have with fleet carriers.
i wonder if the mats required will be as numerous as repairing stations which took months ??
I have always wished for this. This is going to be amazing
That containers and the cranes for moving these remind me of one thing: there is no ship in the game to move those things.
Damn, that colonization ship looks sweeet!!
Sorry, huge fan of industrial ships. Loved the Rorqual and Bowhead in Eve 😁
10ly sounds like a grind. Just imagine trying to build a bridge from the bubble to Colonia.
Really hyped for this update. As a out-of-bubble explorer I would love to make my favourite sector my home.
(Hope it wouldn't be claimed in some guild powerplay)
Finally! No man's sky in our Elite! :)
I'd prefer more of the 'planet crafter' tho.
Looking forwards. This is the first thing since carriers (i've bought one and left it to rust) that would make me return to the game!
Nice my PC can barely hold this game at 15 frames but I still played every now and again I wonder what this will do to me now but I can't wait
I have been asking and wishing for this for years.
It's nice that frontier is finally done with Thargoids and seemingly doing some actual work to keep moving the game forward again. But in my opinion they REALLY need to commit to 2-4 new ships a year.
This will bring me back to Elite
Ok this is interesting and a positive step forwards
A _potential_ positive step forwards. Let's hope it's good, but we should temper our expectations, lest we be disappointed yet again. I'm expecting a colossal grind.
man if only this stuff came out like...6 years ago? Maybe it would have saved itself, but the absolute mismanagement of this game has been tragic, but I guess it's nice to see SOMEONE in that company TRYING to make cool stuff for the game.
Also they keep shirking ship interiors....we have been waiting since day one, give it to us, even if they start out slow with smaller ships and work their way up....just....do it.
wonder if we'll be able to control the job market as well, npc's and such?
Looking forward to seeing how earthlike worlds are involved in colonization
They're allergic to ship interiors or something...
Also, their obsession with Thargoids is disturbing.
Any idea if Jacques station and it’s bubble will also have this or does everyone have to travel back to the main bubble?
I kind of wanted to actually govern a system but... ehh... what's the point if you don't actually own anything
I can't wait for every single asset you place down to have a weekly maintenance of 1500 lavian brandy and void Opals, where if you miss a single week it shuts down and then disappears.
Sounds great in theory. I'm curious to hear about cost and upkeep.
Love that I bought this on Xbox and bought all the dlc just for it all to end up being one package and then abandoned... Love that. They really shouldn't keep selling on console if there aren't gonna be anymore updates...
It might come back now they realize Elite is the $ maker.
@Fia360 not likely. It's just not making them the money it was several years ago. I mean the game is a decade old now...
5000 hours I have on Xbox, I played it from Game Preview on Xbox, was so excited for the DLC/Update when it was just simply pulled, I understand they're a business and it's all about the bottom line, but console players really did get a raw deal.
@@VOR4DORS_RAVEN we are all a decade older, yet still useful. Allot has changed, kids/new releases isn’t it atm.
@@Albert_O_Balsam yeah I feel that hard. Maybe we'll get lucky and SC will come to console when it releases lmao. Or once Starfield is finished and modded to high hell
OK. This caught my attention. I'm going to wait for the end of this story and, if things work out, I'm even thinking about playing again.
I imagine pre established groups/squadrons having to fight to claim their systems.
Wondering if the bigger groups would get a headstart
If players are able to collaborate on shipping construction materials to an under-construction system facility, then yes, larger groups will necessarily gain a headstart, as they will in theory be able to colonise more systems in less time.
That said, it's a big galaxy, and for every system that gets colonised, there will still be literal millions left for others to claim, whether they're part of a big group or not.
If only on foot gameplay was as optimized as inside spaceship and rover. Having 20fps on foot and 100+fps in everything else is frustrating
"Ler's strap a crap FPS onto a space sim, what could go wrong?!?"
I'm really excited about this. It's probably going to be a car crash at the start, but I imagine it will come together decently with time.
I guess I need to go find that Earth-like planet I found years ago and prepare to make a base in that system.
Already saving money for an FC. Close to 2 billion.
Looks like I’ll keep on grinding for base building when it’s out.
As system architect, will you be able to name the installations or starbases?
This is why Frontier need to port this exclusively for next gen consoles only. This would bring alot of the console players back, including myself.
I wonder if there will be upkeep costs like for fleet carriers or will these be permanent installations?
This is FDeaf. Are you kidding? The rent grind will be soul-abolishing.
Even if colonisation doesn’t actually do much, other than populating the system with star ports etc. it might just be enough to keep me interested.
im a little sad at the distance restsriction, i would love to make a station way out in the deep dark and be a little system for explorers to stop by and refuel and such
Wow NOW they add something I'm looking forward too
And I remember when they said this game was dead.
They said 2025 early it will drop as beta. Maybe from February to april between those months.
So if I understand it correctly the npc you buy the system claim is located in the bubble, on the edge I am assuming, and you can claim system only 10 ly from this npc???
10 ly from inhabited system, not necesery from faction you bought claims
