- Absolute privilege to speak to the legendary PC, about his life and what a life it's been so far!
Speedway World Champion in 1976, the last golden era of the sport.... now 70, PC is an absolute gent, with some incredible stories... collecting pennies off crocodiles at Belle Vue, and riding one race with a broken leg strapped to his bike! An absolute bonafide sporting legend, Peter Collins MBE, always a pleasure to spend time with.

A total legend it was a pleasure to see him race
Love this, Claire. Speedway was still massive in the 70's. Collins being not just one of my favourite riders but one of the best in the world when there were many stars. Not one track in London now. Disgraceful.
WHAT A GENTLEMAN. AMAZING SPEEDWAY RIDER SIMPLY THE BEST.
Great champion and human being
What can one say about this man?Peter Collins was simply a fabulous speedway rider and a absolute gentleman, all the Collins lads are the same !!! Pc gave all Belle Vue fans value for money because he always gave it 100% on the track,a true legend -thankyou Peter!!
Absolute legend 👏👏👏🥇
Outstanding, well done sir.
Peter Collins is the reason I fell in love with speedway back in 1976 as a 7 year old I still go now im a season ticket holder at the national speedway stadium #Uptheaces
My no'1 hero as a 70's teenager, what a time to be an aces fan
Thanks PC your an absolute legend ,, I remember watching you at Ipswich one summer evening when you was riding at reserve for Belle Vue and scoring a sack full of points ,, I’d never seen anyone ride a bike like that , missed the gates and come hell or high water lap after lap you picked em off to win ,, such determination .
I believe you had an S type Jag with a trailer in the pits ,, so many happy memories ,, I hope you continue to recover health wise and have a happy active life 🙏🙏
Absolutely top class round Wimbledon. Almost didn't mind him winning races against the top Dons at the time
the days when there were loads of local clubs now sadly gone .. Up the Wimbledon Dons
As a nipper dad would take us to plough lane to watch the dons 😋
