My first gig Slade supported by status quo 1972 Manchester Free trade hall 13 bob to get in honestly juniors wailing railroad someone's learning Quo blew them away 👌
A band I was in supported Quo around 2007 at a rugby stadium in Worcester & from memory (not that reliable!) Quo didn't soundcheck, the crew just did a line check. We were lucky to get a decent soundcheck & Francis & Rick were on the side of the stage in their bathrobes watching us!
Saw Slade and Quo in a B,ham pub early 70,s , don,t know who was supporting who! Both big names at this time, can,t see a meet up like that happening nowadays!!😀😀
I chatted to Francis and Rick one evening in the Bulldog Cafe on the Leidseplein in Amsterdam, they were enjoying a puff together, as there was a concert in Amsterdam scheduled for the following weekend. I was busking on the Leidseplein with Robin Nolan playing two guitars in the style of the great gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt at the time, and both Francis and Rick enjoyed our street performance, the pair of them stood in the crowd that we had around us, and they did the " air guitar" bit, which made us all laugh, as our music bore no resemblance to their music. As soon as I mentioned the name of John Coghlan, with whom I had played in the Isle of Man at a charity gig that Coghlan put on in remembrance of the Hillsborough Football stadium disaster, both Francis and Rick froze up. It was clear that there was still some animosity in spite of their declared neutral position on John leaving the band. They lit up another spliff and walked away.
In my chair is one of the very finest quo songs.. Interesting tale of slade dominating the sound check to stop quo from getting a good live performance
Francis is so funny...as he is most of the time...and he sure feels younger most of the time....dont know if he is any wiser....but who cares when ur havin a laugh.....🤣💞😂...
I remember this was the first electric riff/run I ever wanted to feel and play exactly as it sounded when i was about 20, couldnt do it then and cant now..then I tealised, I'm not Francis Rossi!
Enjoyed that talking about Slade and how they got on with each other, explains to why Jim appeared on TOTP with quo performing Margarita Time when Rick went arse over tit on the drums 😂
WOW, i saw them all in concert a few times in the early 70s, but all 3 together must have been one hell of a gig, Slade were by far the best live band i ever saw.
What was Francis talking about!? Just rambling on. The only part I got is how one (recording) take seems to have magic and all the others not, even at my level I've noticed that too.
Rossi being rather ingenuous about’ not being able to do it again & again’ as that’s all the Quo have ever done. Essentially their whole career has been based on just one single
Who said they were new? Nowhere on our TH-cam page do we say these are 'new' interviews because they obviously aren't, they are over 10 years old but they are mainly unseen as they weren't used in the edit. I don't understand why you would be bothered to even comment just don't watch them if you want new interviews...
@@dennisbegley333 I beg to differ. I think Francis is actually very raw and honest and quite a hard case, as is Steve Harris. He's joking to lighten the mood and keep himself on track. I'll also say that being of a certain vintage and an inner city boy myself, I find his interviews refreshing. I bet when you get him in private company, he's a good laugh when on form. He's the last of the 70's rockers who actually have their faculties in tact and good company. Not many of them left so cherish these times while they last because as the seasons change, these moments will become like faded photographs, getting harder to see as they are exposed to the rays of the sun.
A real grafter, never got the respect he deserves.

Saw Quo supporting Slade in Wales in 1972 . Great gig.
I bet ! Brilliant
In his latter years Mr R has revealed himself to be a great raconteur, I could listen to him for hours.
Don't you mean........"Wreck on Tour" lol.
@@leepshin Ho Ho tres droll
I had trouble understanding what he was talking about for a good half of it, must just be me.
First song i ever played in a band,age 16 in 1976,thanks Francis.
BRILLIANT GUY, and great music
An absolutely fantastic song, the lyrics are so special pure genius. I’m so addicted to these short videos, thank you so much for sharing. ✌️
Geezz.. I could listen to him the whole day. A lot of parts where you just have to laugh tears.

Enjoying a puff together 🤔...think they call it a threesome
Quo have always been very careful about keeping the truth from getting out.
SLADE...Best Band Ever!!!

His daughter Bernadette also play "In My Chair" on gigs :)

I saw Status Quo with Slade and Black Sabbath in a stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1975.

Talking about the title of the number, In my chair. 😊😊😊😊😊
Couldn't help but laugh at the subtitles, every other word was wrong LOL. Gotta go watch some Noddy Holder interviews now, PMSL

DOWN DOWN ... PRICES ARE DOWN !
Saw Quo at the Bulldog Bash.
When was this interview?………
Francis Rossi is always up for a laugh and constantly jokes... many stories. Great stuff. (can you get two mics as not easy to hear the interviewer).
In a documentary interview the interviewer is not used in the edit so there is no need to mic up as he isn't used in the edit
thanks for uploading - when was this recorded ?
Frans is high, 100%
Great Interview, but hit me hard and call me Wanda...the guy has had more than one "LINE"!
What the hell is he mumbling on about....I'II have what he's having!
What and waffling waste of 5 minutes, can he stop digressing ever 10 seconds and stick to the topic.
Yes, he is not authentic.
This was recorded before rick died its not new.

@@NyquestI love these interviews... Fantastic audio as well, no background noise which leads an intimacy.
Thanks @@scottblack9213
Interviews are great but I think Rossi tries to be funny all the time and it doesn"t work.
