The dialogue between these two is phenomenal. Kudos to whoever wrote it. MiB: "I don't have to ask. You brought them here. Still trying to prove me wrong, aren't you?" Jacob: "You are wrong." MiB: "Am I? They come. They fight. They destroy. They corrupt. It always ends the same." Jacob: "It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress."
litteraly the best fucking scene in the series ! How come it doesnt have a billion views ? Im still confronted nowadays to people who didnt get the ending of the show... Blessed are the simple minded for heavens door are wide open for them
We've been aware of the monster for the past 5 years and developing it, the past 3 years of which they've been showing us that it can take numerous forms, on top of that, every time someone fucks over another character we've had some indication of the monster's presence. Then we know that the enemy considers people to be corrupt in every way, the producers have pretty much asked 2+2=? so they've given us everything we've needed to put this together. They've also spelled it out for us
This is one of the best scenes in the entire series. You finally learn Jacob is real. The magic, the mystery, the intrigue, it's all there. This is clsssic LOST.
I don't know what's so hard to understand...they've finally started giving us answers...you sound like the same crowd that advocated that Harvey Two-Face survived 'The Dark Knight' even though it was presented and spelled out for you. Just be thankful that they've started answering the show's questions...
it still pisses me off when ben shows up with fake locke giving ben motivation to kill jacob and jacob just stands there and dares ben to kill him. The only thing I can think of is jacob was bored of living and wanted to die but still it was an unsatisfying end done just for shock value imo.
So I guess you really were one of those that didn't believe that it was a flash forward in the Season 3 final...why do people have to have things carved into wood and smacked across the side of the head before they start looking at what's presented to them? We know Locke's dead, that Jack didn't change anything and we know what they're up against...The Smoke Monster. How they'll go about getting rid of that is something to be covered in the final season...
The monster lied to and manipulated Ben in order to have him kill Jacob...if Ben had the slightest indication that the monster had taken Locke's form then Jacob would still be alive and the final wouldn't have turned out the way it did.
You really are thick aren't you?...To my memory Henry Gale seemed surprised when he heard Sayid lost someone he loved...then we found out he was an other and likely knew all along what had happened with Sayid and Shannon. If the monster had flat out said "Yeah, I know Alex spoke to you, cause that was really me and I'm actually the monster," then the jig would've been up...It's called dramatic irony, where the writers give the andience the answer but the characters in the show don't have a clue.
Why?...From the first episode we've known th monster to bring nothing but pain to the survivors...Hopefully Jack and crew find a way to destroy the monster in Season 6 seeing as Jacob's enemy and 'The Smoke Monster' are the same being.
@@ceecee2451 his brother is dead at this point. The smoke monster has taken his brother's form because his body is on the island. The smoke monster can mirror anyone dead on the island so long as their body is there
You saying that it isn't the monster is like watching the final for season 3 and saying that it's only speculation that it was a flash forward and they got off the island...despite being presented with blatant facts from the producers and writers...you would have to be a complete idiot to argue with facts given to you by the show runners...the antagonist of the series IS the monster and the series will deal with getting rid of it from the island...
Dude, you're assuming I don't think he is Smokie why? Because that is my favorite theory as to who he is. I understand what you are saying. But regardless..it is still a theory. Nothing more. Jesus..lol
Then why didn't fake Locke know that Alex had talked to Ben? Fake Locke being the monster is a theory. If I see one more person say it is fact my eyes will bleed lol. But to answer your question: Because they aren't real people and I am not a good person. :D If this was real life I would want the good guys to win. But this just ain't real life and they all need to pay for not believing Locke and leaving the island. Locke only died because Jack was a raging idiot. THEY ALL MUST PAY! lol
The dialogue between these two is phenomenal. Kudos to whoever wrote it.

How smart and amazing speech
Very smart details
Man in black said "morning"
He avoids the word "good" ⛔
This score is so gosh darn beautiful.

This show was phenomenal from start to finish. Idc what anyone says.
Watching the show again for the 5th time :)

I see the irony, the guy from Big Lebowsky is making a rug.
It really ties the Island together.
The first time the audience was shown that Jacob was real.
Well it seems that its Ricardo on that ship. Black Rock!
The thing that always confused me though is, when Richard arrives there is a bad storm. And yet there is not a cloud in the sky here.
@@TECfan1 maybe MIB was able to cause the storm somehow
The ship isn't The Black Rock. This scene is way before that.
@@z3br0csk1 nope the scene is just that, storm started and they hit the statue with a ship! Or tzunami
Honestly one of the coolest villains I’ve ever seen. I would love to be able to turn into a smoke monster

the song reminds me of the music of the raiders of the lost ark
A phenomenal way to open up a season
To close a season - it was the first scene of The Incident

Jacob's enemy will prevail!!! All hail our new king!
Seriously, if he is the bad guy I so want him to win lol
The monster lied to and manipulated Ben in order to have him kill Jacob...if Ben had the slightest indication that the monster had taken Locke's form then Jacob would still be alive and the final wouldn't have turned out the way it did.
ye, the smoke monster

Does anyone know the name of this song or music from this scene?
it is jacob`s theme from the series search it on youtube
I wonder, where did they get those superpowers and immortality from?!
İsland. Their Mother knew how to get these power from İsland and presents it to jacob
i agree

red snapper!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
Jacob knows he is talking to the Smoke Monster impersonating his brother. That's why he doesn't say his name when he leaves. What a scene
The smoke monster is his brother though
