....................................Most all of your Negatives are addressed and solved if you would have bought the the MUCH nicer model 450h+ "F" Sport!
The 450h+ F Sport has * adaptive suspension ( no squeal of tires * Especially if you replace Immediately like I did, with Michelin Non Run Flat Tires. Result = much smoother ride and better elec & fuel economy because of less rolling resistance)... Additionally, you addressed a Lag in start of acceleration.....This is the Slow time for the dog eared turbo to spool up...99% of all Euro and Korean vehicles use Turbos for more horse power However the Run really HOT!..& Truly cut down on the reliability of engine/ICE.....This is.SOLVED in the 450h+ as there is No Turbo but rather a (naturally aspirated ICE) in addition to the extra 40 more HP with and instantaneous (no lag torque out of hole with elec/batt)........to say nothing of how Silent the car runs on Batt only for 49 miles....... simply plug in to 120Volt at home or a hotel w extension cord, however always having the ICE that uses 89 oct reg gas and gets : Get THIS, , 89 MPG IN HYBRED MODE.... and will charge while you are driving!

    2023 NX 182.7 inches long.
    1998 RX 180.3 inches long.
It’s progression, I suppose. But when do the larger ones get bumped out for being too large? Or do we just keep bringing in smaller ones to replace them? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Very interesting comment. My brothers 2007 highlander is the size of the rav4 or even smaller.

    • @Jeymez
      @Jeymez หลายเดือนก่อน

rustlesee: there not replacing them, comparing the 99 debut model is an
interesting comparison, but the original RX 300 was actually bigger on the
inside. the NX is only slightly bigger,
but there not actually replacing them. so what you have here,
is a sporty version of the RX 350, although since the 350 has
similar styling that can be the confusing part.
the main difference, is the way the NX is styled. you can clearly
tell, it's meant to be a drivers car, whereas the RX 350 has a much
more conservative style. i can live with that though,
because the RX is a little bigger, and you have more rear seat
room that can fit two kids or 3.
the NX on the other hand would be a tight squeeze even for kids,
the one that really don't make sense is the UX, that's even smaller.
i will say to your point, there are alot of small crossovers these days.
And trust me, despite what these auto youtubers say, the regular
everyday person is not asking for them.
no all these manufacturers are doing it to maximize profit,
all these crossovers have nothing to do with buyers interest,
it's all about what the industry wants.
consumers are creatures of habit, and they know that.
in other words, the average buyer doesn't care what's out there,
as long as they have vehicles that can get you from point A to B.
it's only the insiders and car geeks, that think this is what
people want. but trust me these companies never ask
what regular people want, because if they did V6's
would not be disappearing on a regular basis.
so the industry basically decided, hey we wanna load our lineup
with as many suv's as possible.
so that's why you have a suv for every size and shape now,
and alot of them look sporty.
well unfortunately that styling choice, also reduces interior room.
so while the NX might be slightly bigger than the original RX 300,
Lexus at that time, was not about appealing to driving
      enthusiasts and car geeks.
so they were quite roomy on the inside for a two row passenger
      family vehicle.

I like this model a lot, but the last time I looked, it wasn't available anywhere near my area. The styling is distinctive and the powertrain options are decent. The pricing isn't bad, for what you get. Thanks for a great channel. 😎👍

I have an NX 350 2022 and we put close to 4000 km (we're in Canada). A few things: The infotainment is not fully multitask so when you get a notification on your phone and you are in navigation, it will switch over from nav to Apple carplay this can be quite annoying. We notices that carplay sometimes will just stop working and come back after a while, Lexus couldn't figure it out and seems that more people have had this issue. The other very confusing and annoying thing is the profiles and the memory for the seats. Between me and my wife we are always screwing up each other's profiles and it's overly complicated. Now there's one cool thing i didn't hear in the review, which is the lane changing assist. The NX can actually change lanes for you if you are in adaptive CC and you press and hold the turn signal. That is some really cool feature

Not sure why no one can understand the shifter. Their analog shifters you would pull it back into D to “go forward.” And to go into reverse you would push it back forward to R. And just a bit further to P (starting position) to park. Their digital shifter is literally the same as their analog shifter, however it doesn’t physically move anymore as it isn’t mechanically connected to the transmission.

  • @naveenthemachine
    @naveenthemachine ปีที่แล้ว +2

Micah The fact that anyone would buy this is beyond me. It falls apart in just about every metric
Exterior isn’t to the level of polish that we see in the x3 GLC xc60 q5 gv70 Rdx cx5 cx50 venza tuscon sportage Santa Fe
The interior looks too much like a Toyota. In fact cover up the Lexus logo and the first thing you’d say is “nice interior for a Camry or rav4”
The tech is too gimmicky and useless even with the 14in screen. No Home Screen, no built in navigation, no physical buttons. Everything’s in the touchscreen. The touch sensitive steering wheel controls are a mess and the gauge cluster is lackluster. Especially since for 2023 you can get a 12.3in lcd cluster in a rav4 or venza.
The powertrains are lackluster at best. The 250 has the same noisy unrefined 4 cylinder as the Camry and rav4 (remember it starts at 40K). The 350 turbo is nothing to write home about since it’s slower than everything else in this class but approx on par w a cx5 turbo and Santa Fe calligraphy. The 350h is really more of “it’s efficient but why even bother?” The 450h+ is just overpriced badge engineering at its finest. $60K and you only get 300hp😂. For reference Micah you can get 300hp in a Camry for SIGNIFICANTLY less as in at least $20k less and you get that from a v6…
Handling falls behind everything else in its class. Cx5 CRV Santa Fe all the Germans and genesis and Acura. Also don’t fall for “Lexus driving signature”. Its not real. It’s a phony facade. It doesn’t exist. It’s virtually nonexistent marketing overhype. Lexus’ pathetic marketing at their finest
Ride quality isn’t up to the level of polish that’s seen in the xc60 w the air suspension, or the Lincoln Corsair. It’s not quiet inside because of those ridiculous run flat tires
It’s not practical. Legroom is tight, trunk space is lackluster, and no spare tire whatsoever.

A lot of what you say here is valid, and I'm a NX350 owner. That said, you're totally wrong about the Corsair. It's low quality, flimsy garbage with poor visibility. On the NX, if you get 18-inch tires, you get a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride. The handling is terrible, however. The power is sufficient-to-good, but nothing that stands out in the crowd. The technology is outstanding when it comes to safety features. The main benefit of the car was really that Lexus dealers weren't charging huge markups at the time when everyone else was (especially Genesis) - at least not in my area.

Remove the gv70. It looks like an egg at the back and at a certain angle the quarter window looks odd. Its proportion is so bad. Its reliability is as bad as its design. Owners complain in Less than a year of ownership it starts having problems. Its a glorified hyundai thats it.
Also remove kias and hyundai. Those were junk. Easy to steal and bad reliability like german cars…but at least german are better in other aspects. Mazda is good great driving dynamic and good interior and also reliable but not as good as lexus. Your comparison is really bad.

Are you a Pat Metheny fan? I here lots of it in your video’s music, especially on KKB.

That tacked on infotainment screen looks super tacky, it's not going to age well.
