Hi Johan, nice demo of a fly? tied under a KISS principle of fly tying. That’s what we call of a “A rig of last resort” saved for a day of no takes. This also works very well on a day after heavy rain when the river is running with a bit of colour. I have been watching Jim Misiura tying flies on TH-cam, have a look as he is easy to follow.
I have given up planing fishing trips for this year and have started tying nymphs for Brownies next year. See you on the river in February, until then, keep safe. Cheers mate. Harera

I must admit, this quickly became a fly of "first resort" for me this past winter. It did well on the Hine and TT. I'll give Jim Misiura a watch, I need to learn to tie beyond the KISS principle 😂. I am banking on the release of the 15th and planning a trip into the backcountry for the weekend following. I am sure I won't be the only one. Let's hope the weather holds.
