This is a coming of age story if I've ever seen one. I felt genuine anguish at the final death of this umbrella, only for my despair to be rendered utterly innert at its Resurrection. I dont think many people would watch it (mostly because popular coming of age stories tend to lean heavily on romance, and this had none of that, nor should it), but this definitely deserves a movie with genuinely good actors. Most of these 4chan stories are an absolute meme (and the Eminem reference destroys the illusion), but I wouldn't even torrent a movie based on this story. I would purchase it. Young men and women are bombarded with silly plots based on bullies and stupid love triangles today. Despite its absolute stupidity, this piece of literature feels like a return to the roots of comind of age stories: a child becoming an adult by facing challenges, failing to meet them, and eventually overcoming them.

When my last year in elementary school (6th grade) a gang of kids who called themselves “The Alliance” planted flags and would sell gum, (code word paper) homework, and other contraband items and we had a Stuffed monkey named Thimbese who was like a god that every kid/teacher wanted because we would do anything to protect it, one of the main protectors even trapped another kids backpack with 4 thumbtacks because he had recently tryed to steal Thimbese and ended up getting Thimbese banned from school by the principal, but none of theachers knew who had it, that is when I took possession of it by stashing it away in my jacket, and to conceal its presence I had to wear my fat friends jacket on top of the first one. I kept Thimbese at my house for the next mounts while the teachers gradually forgot about the thumbtack incident but The Alliance wanted her back, we put together a plan that would need a day of school, 7 separate people passing it around classes and a lot of bribery (I supplied a 5 pack of gum to anyone who saw the monkey) and we almost got caught twice but it ended up in the girls bathroom where the last step would be carried out: give it to the Alliance co-leader, we got there a few minutes early by missing lunch and gave them the monkey code named socks because to us that sounded the least suspicious and after that last encounter we never saw or figured out what happened to our precious THIMBESE
