    Thank you so much sir, yaha site pe aapki btae ge vidhi aur L&T ke engineer me hamesa hi thoda defferent ho ja rha tha but ab sbhi doubt clear ho gya
    Aapke jaisa mujhe gurdev mile hai mujhe bahut garv hai.

    In proof of this formulae we add the curvature portion for 90 & 135 degree but pratically there is elongation on curve portion then dont we deduct in proof instead of adding it

    Respected Sir, as per IS 456:2000, Cl 26.2.2.4b in case of Stirrups it is recommended an extension of 8d beyond 90° bend, 6d beyond 135° bend and 4d beyond 180° bend.
    But as per IS 2502:1963, Cl 3.8, the straight portion beyond end of the curve 90°, 135°, 180° shall not be less than 8d i.e. 8d for all 3 cases.
    My question is, in this type of contradiction which code should we follow in
    a) exam point of view
    b) in field.

    Sir one question to ask, in IS code formula internal dimension of stirrup is taken A-4d and E-4d but in numerical Value is taken A-2d and E-2d while calculating cutting length? Please clear my doubt sir.

      A-4d and E-4d are not internal dimentions . In example also A-2d etc is not taken.
      Watch video again carefully and understand what I am saying.

    Sir what would be the formula for HYSD bar, since its K value changes.?

      Radius of inner curvature =kd, put real value of k and then derive formula.

    Sir why dont we use bend and hook allowance directly instead of circumference formulae for finding cutting lenght. We already found it in bbs-1

      Hook allowance is derived with straight length is 4d . But as per is 2502-1963 straight length is taken 8d. This is the reason why here hook allowance is not used.
      Though adding extra 4d distance you can use hook or bend allowance. Since here straight length is 8d instead of 4d.

    Sir ye sab to mild steel per applied hogi HYSD bar k liye kya karei as per IS code?

      Here derivation is done for mild steel (k=2). For other steel use k=3,4 etc

      For 90 degree bend also R× theta can be used. These are alternate Methods.
