Respected Sir, as per IS 456:2000, Cl 26.2.2.4b in case of Stirrups it is recommended an extension of 8d beyond 90° bend, 6d beyond 135° bend and 4d beyond 180° bend. But as per IS 2502:1963, Cl 3.8, the straight portion beyond end of the curve 90°, 135°, 180° shall not be less than 8d i.e. 8d for all 3 cases. My question is, in this type of contradiction which code should we follow in a) exam point of view b) in field. and again Thank you sir for this wonderful video

Sir in the calculation of development length, why we are not taking anchorage value of bend? If possible pls explain this sir.. I will be obliged. Thank you..🙏
As per IS 13920 -1993 embedded length was Ld+ 10d. And as per IS 13920-2016 it was changed to Ld+10d-anchorage value of 90 degree bend. It is taken generally without deduction of anchorage value as per old code bu as per new code you can deduct for it. Sir value of kc is 0.9 only not 1 as you said in video. Please confirm
Kc=0.9 is for frame clad building only. In all other cases it is 1. See solutions by iit kanpur .they used kd and Ka only putting kc=1.

Check for shear strength of anchor bolt.

Sir thank you so much for this video. I have few doubts about tou V value as we haven't come across 0.51515 N/sqmm through out design and why we took Pu as zero. Gross sectional area of wall should be 300x3000 instead of 300x2750. Kindly help by throwing some light on it please. Reply will be highly appreciated sir
sir first of all thank you so much for such a nice video and explanation, i need clarity on few points. while coming to annex a part, when we calculate rho we took Lw as 4000, shouldn't this be 3000, similarly for lemda as well. and in formulae of Xu*/Lw and beta there's has been additional 0.002 which hasn't been taken in this video. kindly revert on the same to have more clarity.
