    Great demo and explanation. But how do you get so much depth and perspective in your paintings? Mine always look flat.

      There are a number of ways. You don't need to apply all of them in every scene but a good place to start is "scaling" I think that this gets a little over-looked, Basically, give some time and thought to the relative size of your components: Trees / land masses / diminishing details and form at the edges of rivers, roads, etc 👍
