Hey Mark, you gotta put the 17mm hexes and the 17mm hubs for the proline wheels and BOOM all those problems are gone. AND you can get those hexes in green i believe
Been saying that myself. Did it on my slash several months ago.
I did this exact setup on my sampede 4x4. Pulled it all off my xo1 and put in on it. Never had a problem since. I may have broken a driveshaft at a joint but thats because i landed from a jump while holdin full throttle doing a double back flip. What do you expect 🤷♂️
Has worked great on my monster slash for over a year. I did have issues with wheel wobble from the drilled out holes. I went with 17mm hubs and have had no issues.

Same thing happened to my proline driveshafts for my stampede. I was told I was tightening the wheel nuts too tight. But switched over to the same ones you have, haven't had any issues yet.

All you need to do is hook it to a spare channel on your receiver I did that to my stampede I got A3 channel remote and I can turn it on and off and switch the settings of the lights right from a switch
I put the whole xo1 set on mine as the 17mm set up widens the car and transfers the load onto the 6mm axle at the bearing, you just have to use 1/8 scale wheels. Mines hobby wing Max 8 4s with the castle 1512y 2650kv and its an animal. Lots of upgrades needed for the power including gen 3 Robinson racing slipper, hr racing billit centre shaft holder with bigger bearing and full aftermarket bearing set

Mark, being that they are breaking at the threads... could it be that you may be overtightening the wheel nut thus causing the stub axle to break. 🤔. It happens on wheel studs on cars, that is the main reason we torque the wheel nuts.
look at the base of the threads, the problem is the maching not allowing enough fillet from the overall axle and the cutdown point, if the new part has more fillet they actually upgraded the part.

just get slash 4wd steel alxes i had alumium hubs my bearings went and coundnt get them out of the alumium hubs so i went to rpm plastic ones
The light kit from murat rc on Ebay has a disconnect so you can unplug it when you dont want to run with them on. Very nice kit I have front and rear on my erevo...
Traxxas should expand their Buggy selection. A 4WD buggy would be nice. Maybe even an 1/8 scale.👍

My hoss is out. Center diff melted, and a shaft broke. So yeah. Money money.
Edit: housing came in today, now just a shaft and I am golden

@@AndromedaMusic553 Sounds like you're running it too hot. Traxxas sells an aluminum diff case to prevent the melting.

Why I voted Tekno, lol. The traxxas threads are the same size as those previous axles. Mine only ever broke at the threads.
I've been out of rc for a bit and got a hoss the other day ,what a little powerhouse! I was wondering about packing the center diff, would that reap any benefits? I'm not familiar with center diff setups but slipper clutches are better tight in my opinion. Just a novice thought 🙂

The issue is the o.g stubs have a pin that sets wheel the hole the pin goes through cause a weak point.. the up graded axles don't have that issue and now have a actual set screw eliminating the hole/ weak point..

Love your channel so I'm going to say get rid of that power tap. Doesn't make sense to have the lights on if you not driving. I made a video showing how to bypass that and use your receiver and traxxas remote to turn on and off. Easy. Kedp doing your thing.💯👍🏽
Never forget to unplug your battery with the power tap at the battery. Only thing sensible about it. Most remember, some don't haha.

Like your vids.maybe you can help me out with some info on my t maxx nitro.im not sure what went wrong but last spring i was. Running the truck and all of asudden it stoped moving.i thought i blo the gears but when i took it apart (the traniy)there didnt seem to be any thing wrong.it runs just wont move .could it be the bell housing and cluch or just need a new trany?your input will be very help full.

Had those XO-1 shafts in a 2wd slash. Things were garbage. Went MIP after that no problems
@@reidisaacson9623 hmm. Ran mine very hard in a 2wd slash mt with castle 2400 on 4s for about 2 years without issue. I did upgrade my slipper and did not lock it down. Maybe I got lucky?

Thats lame of traxxas they make you reck your wheels so they only fit on that size of shaft so you can nly ever again use them on that rig dude there making money off that stuff and causing issues im sure. one you do that to your wheels there forever lopsided to a tinny bit its not like you just drill it out with there bit and the wheels are fine.
