My three over 20 live in my house and I’m retired at 63 ! Wife still works but my problem is my wife said they should pay no rent !!! I only ask like 400 dollars each to help us out which is way cheaper than 1,700.00 Canadian for a one bedroom apartment. They all have jobs too, am I wrong ? Love your channel as well , thanks
Your not wrong, they need to see the value of money, rent free teaches them to take advantage of you. I paid rent once I left school and started paying rent and always did. Respect.
Hi Les, hubby and I enjoy your videos (it's nice to get out and walk around with you- it feels like it anyways). We are new subscribers. Have a great day, and we are happy that your sister is out of the hospital 😊✨!!
A great video and thank you for sharing. Every word in this video really resonates with me. I am 49 from Sheffield and have had many holidays to Thailand and would love to spend more time out there. I hope all future plans go well mate. It would be amazing to sit and have a pint sometime.
Your children situation is exactly the same as mine yes you learn to live without them but boy there is a whole in my heart and soul especially now i have 3 grandkids i never see good on you Les you look and sound happy enjoy mate ❤
Sorry to here but the hurt never goes away but in time it heals, Your happiness is the most important thing do as you please and enjoy the life you deserve. Best wishes Les.🙏
@@RetiredandLivingthedream I sincerely hope that your children will see your videos, and realize you are not the ogre ... and they will make their peace with you. Even if it's just to acknowledge that you are their father 🙏🙏💟
Hi Les been living in Thailand 25 years , your right about planning big trips, very stressful. I have just booked a trip for next year for me and my thai g.f to travel to the UK for 1 month and travel around north of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales after that booked 1 month in Spain. Since I heard about the tax implications here in Thailand, I am going to check Spain out with a view to move there.
Nice VDO again, Les! I assume you get your groceries from the Lotus and the Makro, in Ban Phe, correct? I live during the winter months in Mae Phim, very nice place as well....
Nice chat, Les. Hope your sister is doing better. I've been researching Poland. Interesting that the average male life expectancy is just 71 (booze and smokes)! That's not much time after 65 retirement.
Poland gets much colder than the UK and would not be on my list. Be happy with one's self and you will live much longer. Best wishes in your future plans hope you live much longer than the 71 lol.🙏
Tell how scary les just caught a bug spent 2 days in hospital paralysed for a day my arms dead and it's caused by a virus you get in hot climates You know me never been in hospital hospital, but if it was someone less fit it could have been worse Doctor said it could paralyse for a week so I was lucky
Finding a good partner who speak English is a huge + for you in Thailand, some many good points there so many choices lifestyles, will never let my non o visa lapse pop in and out easy peasy, cross the tees dot the i no problem, maybe I will have to pay a little tax but heck still way better there than stuck under grey cold skies spending a small fortune on energy.
I liked NZ i was offered a Job swap for a year many years ago the Wife at the time refused to go. NZ is not as cheap as Thailand also the weather is cold in the Winter, I like not feeling the cold so the Tropical lifestyle is good for me.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream Thanks for your reply. I left the UK in 1987 and moved to NZ, and I was interested in knowing after you had visited NZ what put you off.
@asiatravels007 Les, why are you still misleading people regarding travelling in Europe? You've said the same thing about 90 day travel in Europe 3 times now while you've been in Redcar and each time you've been corrected but are still saying the same thing. 😡 Any Brit can travel around Europe for 20 years non stop if they want with no issues if you plan it correctly but you keep saying they can't, THEY CAN!! Brexit (correct decision) changed very little in terms of tourist travel, just extra paperwork, that's it. So instead of me writing everything again, here is my response from 3 weeks ago and your reply! 🤨 --- 3 weeks ago Im from South Tyneside living in Thailand and Vietnam and love the channel Les but your completely wrong about 90 days only in Europe. 90 days only applies to the 27 EU countries not all 51 countries in Europe. I travelled non stop around Europe for 2 years easily and spent 90 days in EU countries then went to non EU Serbia, Turkey, Albania, Montenegro etc after each 90 days then back to the EU for another 90 for 2 years in total. All of these countries border the EU so its easy to jump in and out every 90 days without ever going back to the UK. @RetiredandLivingthedream 2 weeks ago Ok well I stand corrected, I may of misunderstood we talked about many things. Turkey was mentioned. Thanks for your info.
From the government website: Your total stay in the Schengen area must be no more than 90 days in every 180 days. It does not matter how many countries you visit. The 180-day period keeps ‘rolling’.
Another Brexit “benefit”! Luckily I left the UK in 89 and my retirement is in us$… with the £/$ exchange I’m quids in when I visit the UK… cheers Brexit voters.
Love the videos, from St. Cloud, Mn, USA

Is it always wise to sell everything and cut all ties to live in another country?
This was the hardest thing to do, but rewarding in the end.
Where in Thailand are you living?
Rayong, not a Tourist location but I'm happy here.
Do you travel to other asian countries ?
Yes been to Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Japan, Bali, Vietnam is well worth a visit.
Les, where are you based in Thailand?
Ban Phae
