Would have loved to see any paper groups you created with this rifle. I own several break barrels including the Benjamin Trail XL in .25. That rifle is a bear to shoot as well and does not group at all.
@MrKillermeatball dude some people love springers, and alothough i own a few PCPs i understand why, it takes more skill to effectively take game, and the RX2 is up there in power for springers as well as looks.
Every source I can find on the web says that the Beeman RX-2 and the Weihrauch HW90 are the same gun; the Beeman simply has a different stock, does not have 'iron' sights, and, of course, has the Beeman name on it. However, the FPE you report for the .25 Beeman appears to be much higher than that I see reported for the Weihrauch HW90 in .25 (19 FPE at the muzzle being the most reported number for the HW90). Do you know why this is the case? Is the Beeman also altered to be more powerful?
@waseem1173 the rx2 costs around 900 bucks or if u want a 25 cal air gun u can get the walther falcon hunter it has the same volocitys and is only 250 im getting the falcon for cristmas.
MattacksRC + I don't know all about air rifles either. But know something about a lot of products. No line of products seems to be so plauged with deficiencies, both in design and assembly. Some high percentage need trigger work, disassembly and deburring. Compare with motorcycles, chain saws, cars, refrigerators.
I bought an HW90 in .25 about two years ago. I don't get to shoot it often (3-4 times a year), but I really like. If what you say is true, how long can I go before worrying that I've lost too much gas? Are we talking a very slow process, one which won't drastically affect performance for decades or are we talking a ticking time bomb that might result in failure within a decade?
@pyramydair The Straight Shooters' site tested this same gun with the exact same pellet and got drastically lower velocity results: with the 26+ grain pellets they got fps of 583. Do you think the one you tested performed unusually? Do you have access to the Weihrauch HW90 for review (and test)?
lol he says a spring will take a set if left cocked for like a month or so . who leaves one cocked that long? and have you ever seen how fast and suddenly the gas pistons that hold your car hatch or hood goes out? i'll stick with the spring thank you very much.
roy votava There is literally like 4 or 5 $2 O rings and a schrader valve and thats all it takes to rebuild it if you were EVER to need to. Maybe a piston seal here and there to keep her shooting powerful. Springs break, seals burn and wear out, everything is a trade off. Personally, these are extremely easy to maintain and disassemble. The power trade off is worth it. I find it hilarious how all you spring guys offer up such poor excuses to exclude this rifle as a great hunting air rifle.
I'm not saying its not a great hunting rifle, just saying springers are proven reliable for years and gas piston is not proven that reliable.i will grab one for the hell of it and give it a shot i guess.
+roy votava Not that fast. Match my 4yr old against a new one, power. A left a Gamo 440 cocked 4 a U don't respect the gun length of time n it remarkably, shot well. Must of been the pot. I bought Jake, ( hunter 1250 from gander mt.) a display model, that was cocked. Not knowing what it should shoot like, I sent it back. They actually sent me 2! I didn't know UPS left guns n obviously undriven cars without a note, but guess what they do! I sent it back. l told really only need 1 of this model. Thanks any way. Hey, checking inventory, they'd researched n found where that missing gun went.
About reliable that you want to see .. check theoben rifles .. This Gun has the same mechanism from theoben like HW90 do.. This gun is my favorite and i 've had a lot of spring guns all those years
Hallo sir very good video as always. I would like to ask you something, Iam thinking to buy this air rifle in 20cal. can you tell me please how many foot/pounds is the power in this caliber?
@megalizardfreak wow thats expensive . you can get a .22 long rifle gun cheaper than that. walther falcon , i ll look into that. do they make .22 as well ? .25 are expensive pellets
When I checked out the price of this rifle, I almost pooped my pants! It's $850, as much, or more, than many PCPs. Check out the Hatsan 125 sniper. It's $300, and is more powerful.
I have the same gun as in the video. My dad has a pig farm and one was very sick and he was in much pain. We thought the best way to put him out of his misery was to put a bullet through its head, so i got my air rifle... I shot it right through it's head!
Hatsan is nothing when it comes to this rifle .. The power is very big in this rifle too but not in the way that you loose accurate like hatsan do .. High quality , no compare one with the other
The gas rams are basically like gas shocks found on the hatch of cars just with a higher LBS rating. www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gas%20shock&sprefix=gas+sh%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Agas%20shock Now the seal around the shaft can fail but this is just like anything that has seals and pressure. In industrial use I've seen 500 lbs Gas Shocks assist pneumatic cylinders to lift 800 lb steel arms around 8 foot long, the shock is mounted between the Cylinder and pivot point (bearings) at around 1 foot from the pivot. They can lift this load thousands of times without fail. Now the bad news, I've seen these shocks fail within the first 10 cycles, the rod gives way and bends or the seal fails and pressure is released. The point is gas shocks and springs have pros and cons. Springs can last for a very long time with very little loss in performance but have rules which if broken (leaving cocked for extended time) can ruin the spring. Gas shocks are more maintenance free and forgiven if you forget the rules. Springs have less of a chance for failure caused by the manufacturing processes were Gas shocks depend on quality manufacturing and if the guy checking it has a hangover you might end up with a leak. Simply put solid rubber balls are made of one piece, a round rubber object. Failure of that ball being bounced many times with reasonable force is a very low percentage. A baseball is made of more than one piece and of different materials. All the pieces have to work together to hold the structure and while more force can be applied to the baseball if the thread hits a hard rough surface it can be damaged. This small damage weakens the structure of the ball, this is why the percentage of failure can be greater with a baseball than a solid rubber ball. Springs are simple and Gas shocks are complex, failure can happen to either but the gas shock has more components that can go wrong. The ppm fail rate is controlled buy the company but 100% success can not be guarantied so it can happen just as a spring can snap.
Why would anyone want to pay 800$ for this gun. I don't care if people say it's great for hunting! A benjamin marauder coat under 500$ easier to shoot and faster! ( I have one in .22) and if you are going to hunt with this then you don't care about a challenge to shoot, you want to make a quick clean kill!
First time watching your channel. Very nicely done! I enjoyed the information and respect the professionalism of the reviewer.
looks as the HW 90. Also the safety and gas ram as well .Isn´t it?

Warrosquyoake + Volocity times volocity times weight in grains divided by 450240 = fpe.
@waseem1173

That is one dangerous air rifle. ;-)
barrel droop on a $800 air rifle? I dont know much about these things because Im a newb but man that doesnt sound right.

The ram out lives a spring. If the seals do fail, they cost pennies to replace. I have a gun that had seals over 15 years old and weren't leaking.

so if you leaved this gun cocked for and entire month it would shoot the exact same after?
lol he says a spring will take a set if left cocked for like a month or so . who leaves one cocked that long? and have you ever seen how fast and suddenly the gas pistons that hold your car hatch or hood goes out? i'll stick with the spring thank you very much.

when you hunt , you need to keep it cocked .. With this rifle , no problem .. No compare with the spring in many levels
The FPE of this rifle in .25 delivers the same as my Hatsan 125TH in .177. So what is the thrill?
paul can u plz review the walther falcon hunter in .25
what gun do you recomend the stoger x20 .22 or the crosman nitro venom .22
What is stronger? This or the Walther Falcon Hunter .25 w/ spring?
@megalizardfreak wow thats expensive . you can get a .22 long rifle gun cheaper than that.
walther falcon , i ll look into that. do they make .22 as well ? .25 are expensive pellets
holy shit you just killed 3 dinosaurs with that thing. nice man
in the beeman air rifle hunter kit, what is the name of the air rifle? ive been looking for like two days now
benjamin taril .22 review please .. =)
Please help. Can someone recommend a good scope that won't break using the RX2? I'm on my 3rd scope!
i have nikko gold crown in my HW90 AT 22 Bar .. no problem after 2 years and more than 3000 shots
is it build-produced in China?
Carsten No, it's built in Germany
German made but with British power plant
Katrina Soledad You are correct Miss
thank god!
I had an instructor inform me that the RX2 is made in the USA.
What dose mean pellet fasy ?
how much does this cost ?
@BENJItrailNPxL1100 Yeah springers are harder to shoot accurately... I still dont see the appeal hahah.

I own the Hat 125 sniper QE .22 cal and it smacks!
Super accurate and hits like a tank!
is it true that the gas-rams of the rx2/hw90 rifles leak ocasionally ?

therealdeadpen + excellent description.
10 lbs rifle, 50 lbs cocking effort... LOL
Why use this instead of a rimfire with subsonics?
@BlackCountryPuddler the RX2 is a much better quality airgun
@lambchops1493 b there about the same.. i own the falcon and love it
@pyramydair np

Should have had an accuracy test.
@waseem1173 cant shoot them in town
