Pokemon Ultimate Breeding Guide (How to get Perfect Natures and IVs) w/Pheonixmaster1

READ THIS FIRST IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT!
READ this if you have any doubt:
Basics:
- You can breed two pokemon only if they are of opposite gender and belong to same egg group.
- Day Care center in Pokemon X and Y is on Route 7
- Keeping a pokemon with Flame Body/Magma Armour reduces the steps taken to hatch the egg by 50%.
- Egg Group category page (Bulbapedia) - bit.ly/177t7Th
- Ditto can breed with every single pokemon in the game except legedaries
- Ditto cannot breed with Ditto
Breeding for Competitive Battles:
► GETTING PERFECT NATURE
- Everstone ALWAYS passes down the nature of the parent holding it.
- You can find Everstone in Geosenge Town to North-West house of pokemon center
- You can find Everstone on wild gravellers (Victory Road)
► PASSING HIDDEN ABILITY
- You can pokemon with Hidden Ability sometimes in Horders and Friend Safari
- Now Males can also pass down the hidden ability (MAN POWER!!)
- But male pokemon have some chance to pass the hidden ability
- A male pokemon can ONLY pass Hidden ability if it breeds with a DITTO,ONLY WITH DITTO
► EGG MOVES
- Pokemon can learn egg moves only if they breed with a Specific pokemon from their egg group which knows that move
- Parents of both gender can pass down egg moves if they know it
- You cannot pass TM moves anymore
- For knowing which pokemon gets which egg moves please refer to Bulbapedia

► IV BREEDING (HOW TO GET FLAWLESS POKEMON)
~What are IVs?
IVs are individual values which are like genes in pokemon.Every pokemon have 6 IVs one for each stat,they can be between 0 to 31.Max IV is 31.
~What do IVs do?
IVs influence a pokemon's main stats if a pokemon has 31 in Attack,it will hit very hard but if it has 0 in Attack,It won't be able to cause much Damage.
~What are Flawless pokemon?
A PERFECT pokemon which has 4-5 Max IVs in stat it uses most is called 'Flawless' pokemon a.k.a Perfect pokemon,if your pokemon is flawless it will have stats to his MAX potential and it will be competitively successful.
~What is destiny knot?
If one of the parents holds this item,it will ALWAYS pass down five IVs to the child.This item will help you to chain IVs and get a PERFECT pokemon.
~What is Friend Safari?
Friend Safari is place in Kiloude city,which you have access to only after beating Elite 4.
The more friends you have registered,the more pokemon you will able to find here.You can even find pokemon with their hidden ability here.You can get great parents for you flawless pokemon here like Ditto.Every pokemon that you find here is GUARANTEED to have two Max IVs in any 2/6 stats.They can even have 3-4 Max IVs but that kinda depends on your luck.
~How to check IVs?
Talk to guy in Kiloude City's pokemon center.Stats which appreciates have 31 IVs.
HOW TO GET POKEMON WITH MAX IVs.
• Step.1: Choose a pokemon to breed.
• Step 2: You need to get Destiny Knot,go to Cyllage City's hotel to get it.
• Step 3: Dittos play main role in Getting perfect IV pokemon.If you have a Friend a 'Normal' type friend safari you could find Ditto in the third slot of their safari.
• Step 4: Breed your chosen pokemon with ditto which has Max IVs which you would like you to have in your final product for eg. Atk for Tyranitar,Sp.A for Greninja,Speed for fast pokemon like Alakazam,Talonflame etc.
- It takes HOURS to get a flawless pokemon.Stay Ready for it,don't give up!
- Give Everstone to the pokemon whose nature you want on your final product and give a Destiny Knot to others
- Hatch eggs until you get a child which has more 3 Max IVs than the initial parent,replace it with the previous parent and breed it with Ditto
- Hatch more eggs and get a child with 4 Max IVs replace it with Ditto.
- If you get another child with 4 IVs replace it with the other parent so now you are breeding two pokemon of same species.
- You breeding a pokemon with 4 Max IVs and one with 3/4 Max IVs
- Hatch more eggs,and this time you will be getting your flawless with 5 Max IVs
- Getting 6 Perfect IVs if very difficult and you need be extremely luck,no need to spend your time in that
- A pokemon with 4-5 Max IVs is amazing pokemon,you don't need a pokemon with all 6 Perfect IVs!
- NOW YOUR SENSE OF SATISFACTION IS OVER 9000!Congratz :]

First of all, I'd like to give you a huge thanks for making this outstanding video. Not only did you explain how to do it, but you also defined each part very good. The design of the video is very well made. The graphical content and images makes it a lot easier understanding. I'm completely new to the newer Pokémon games and I've not played one since G/S/C and you made it so easy to understand that I didn't even need to watch the video 2 times. HUGE thanks author.
What I'd like to add is that you forgot to mention O-Powers. There's the hatching power which will dramatically increase the speed of hatching eggs. If you have your 3DS step counter reach 4000 steps, the time of recharging the O-Power slots will decrease by 4x. This makes it EXTREMELY easy to hatch eggs.
I'd also like to add that you forgot to mention hidden abilities. In Gen V the eggs had 60% chance of inheriting the Hidden Ability if the parent who had it was a female. I'm not sure if this is the same in Gen VI. I'm breeding for a Vupix who's got Drought (Hidden Ability). And the offspring doesn't always inherit this ability even though the mother is holding an Everstone. This makes it a little bit more complicated... But I've got a male and a female Vulpix with 4 perfect IVs so far and it only took me 1.5 hours! :D

Dear Pheonixmaster1,
Today I was at drama school and I was playing Pokemon X when one of my class mates noticed this and said she was a huge fan of Pokemon and had a copy of Pokemon X her self. After watching me play the game for a little bit, we had to go to our next lesson. But before this, she asked me , since I had a blastoise (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and she chose a different G1 starter (I assume Charizard), if I could breed her a squirtle with My Blastoise. I agreed and we left to the next lesson. However as you've mentioned in the video, the resulting species of the egg/baby with always be the mother and my Blastoise is male. What should I do?

briannaMBrown breed your male blastiose with a ditto. Squirtle should be the result.
You forgot to mention that the hatching O-Power will hatch the egg even quicker when combined with Magma Armor or Flame Body.

Note, Destiny Knot guarantees 5 stats from BOTH of the parents will be passed on; not 5/6 ivs of 1 pokemon. Basically power item + Destiny Knot = 5 ivs on the egg will be from the parents, not the randomly generated ivs on the child. Power items and D-Knot do NOT stack.
Speaking of which, Do 2 destiny knots stack? Does that garentee 10 ivs of the 12 will be from the parents? I have 2 of them for some reason ...

FALSE, not all pokemon retain the same egg group through evolution. Shedinja nidorina and nidoqueen all have different ones

Tip: If you have a friend safari with ditto, you can go ahead and catch one for each nature. It's pretty tedious but once you do it you'll have a perfect library of natures that you can use whenever needed. You don't have to worry too much about their IVs cuz once you get all natures you end up with like 20 dittos, and chances are you'll have a complete pool of perfect IVs in there.
So in a nutshell here's what you do once you get your collection of natures:
1) Breed your pokemon with a Ditto of the desired nature holding an everstone so you can pass down the nature.
2) You now have your pokemon with its desired nature, make it hold the everstone now. Check the IVs on your dittos and pick one with desired IVs and make it hold destiny knot, and breed once more. (Remember that Dittos from friend safaris will have 2-3 guaranteed maximum IVs, so even though destiny knot passes down 5 IVs, only some of those will be perfect).
3) Repeat step 2 using the new offspring each time until you have your pokemon with perfect IVs and desired nature.

I have been studying pokemon since winter break ever since I started wanting to play competitively and I progressed pretty well and learned a lot but breeding was holding me back and I had to learn and you presented me this better than any other youtuber/article I have seen

You forgot to say that you CAN breed ONLY ONE legendary with ditto: mesprit But the outcoming pokemon WILL NOT BE EITHER A DITTO OR A MESPRIT

**Ditto Catching tip: In the pokemon village,You go into the grass and you get to find some dittos there (it worked for me atleast)

For some reason, I haven't found a single website that answers this question I have: when two pokemon of the same species (and opposite genders) breed and both have a move that the baby would learn upon level-up, the move will be passed down... but what if you breed a male-only pokemon with a ditto, do the level-up moves pass down or it just won't work because ditto doesn't learn any moves?
that explains why I got a panpour when I breed a flotzel with a simipour
and I was making sure it was a panpour egg.
and now I have a male panpour with egg moves
