Nice color and truck. Sad to see the V6 go but nice to see how hybrid tech can be used to improve power and efficiency. Going to keep my V6 truck for as long as possible. Great review👍
I just test drove a Tacoma Limited Hybrid and it had a manual bed-step on the right side. The sales associate said it was from the factory. Also drove a Tundra Limited Hybrid right after. The Tacoma drove the more like an SUV (a good thing in my opinion), the Tundra definitely like a truck. If I'm being honest, neither truck felt like they had the stated power, and the Tacoma actually felt kind of sluggish at times to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if 0-60 is in the 7+ sec range. I agree with the assessment here, to me it feels like a diesel... immediate initial power then it plateaus very quickly. I wish they would have tuned it differently, even at the expense of a little torque, because I don't think most Tacoma owners are going to need 465 ft-lbs when that doesn't actually translate into better passing/merging performance. The Tundra felt slower than it probably was because of the high driving position, I think. But it was definitely much faster than the Tacoma... and extremely easy to make the rear tires chirp. Also, tons of body roll in the Tundra, not nearly as much in the Tacoma. Not surprising given the height/weight difference. In my brief back-to-back, the Tundra was quieter on the inside, but neither was loud. Didn't hear any squeaks or rattles from either, which is good. Throttle tip-in on the Tacoma took more getting used to. Overall, I liked the Tundra quite a bit more. The rear seating area was cavernous compared to the Tacoma, which barely seemed big enough for adults. The dealership didn't have the spec/color I wanted, but I am still looking.
Good review thanks

Looking less and less like the taco every iteration lol Seems more like a mini Tundra to me
Lack of rear legroom is a big no, just make it simple cab lol
Fake leather in the luxury trim for 56k it's a no from me
